Well, you've read the notes, the notes not only reviewed the situation, they rectified the situation, and now it is time for you to post until the reviewing cows come home.

Had a sudden craving for chicken soup, so I just ordered a bowl from the Hollywood Mel's - our nearby one closes at ten, but the one in Hollywood is either open very late or all night.

I slept very well after4 the mess the night before. I can't remember a single dream but "Indian Love Call" keeps running through my head. Not the famous "when I'm calling you-oo-oo-oo-oo" but the verse "When the long lagoon stirs in the spring . . ."

i had a wonderful 2-hour session with Joe, my student. We went through "Roses of Picardy" for the last time. I pointed ot several sections I thought might be over0orchestrated and suggested he hear them in rehearsal and decide rather than thin them out. We went on to "Auld Lang Syne," which he had told me was an audience singalong. I thought the orchestration was too light, and he confessed the soloist was singing it and they hoped the audience would sing along.

Then we looked at an arrangement Joe's writing of the Sailor's Hornpipe. He's about 2/3 through it and I was more enthusiastic about it than he is. We focused on the section he did not like  and then discussed where it was going. He's very talented.

Last night I started the miniseries Wolf Hall. The episodes I had been wareviously were from Season 2, so it was good to startr at the beginning. I'm not sure how much I like the series, and I think I might like to read the novel.

I've got to work on the music stuff, and we have a dress rehearsal tonight for tomorrow night's concert.

Other than that, it's going to be a positively gorgeous day here, topping out at 80 degrees on the Fahrenheit scale, and I'm just too busy with stuff to get outside and do anything at all with it. Not that I'm particularly dying to get out there and be active. But that's going to have to wait.
