And I voted for Nick too.

*I'm just wondering if the producers of the show will require the winner of the show to audition for projects while they are in New York City - and living in that penthouse... and receiving $100,000.  Or could just simply live it up for the year that they are in NYC?

As I predicted, NBC has shelved INCONCEIVABLE, the Friday night show very few people were watching.

That makes three shows currently pulled:

HEAD CASES

LOVE, SEX, and ?

INCONCEIVABLE.

Wonder what will be next?

DR Der Brucer - Jason Scott of ascii.com was a very big supporter of LAST STARFIGHTER, and we had sent him the demo version of the score in part to thank him for his support.  The demo was comparatively rudimentary instrumentally because it was, well, just a demo.  The CD that will be released is much more sophisticated, especially in terms of instrumentation and sound effects, than the demo (the link to which Jason Scott deactivated when we asked him to, although it looks like he left his text up even after deactivating the demo link).

I got the e-mail written and sent to the local WB station. Truthfully, they have usually been very conscientious about showing the WB high def programming properly. It's the NBC station that usually screws up.

All right. It's after midnight on the East Coast, so I'm headed for bed.

Hope everyone enjoys the rest of the evening.

9:30 a.m. Oy! I should shower and get back to bed. :)

I'd rather watch Robert Mitchum films over Garbo films anyday.

Safe travel vibes for DR HISAKA as she returns home.

Fun fun fun vibes for all those in the BEEG APPILL manana!

AMAZING RACE - good episode, though my wish didn't come true, that's all I'm saying.  I definitely have a couple of favorite teams, though.

NIP/TUCK - oh my!

I like Robert Mitchum - in moderation - but 24 hours is about all I could take.  I did enjoy HIS KIND OF WOMAN and MACAO and ANGEL FACE is coming up.  I guess I like him playing opposite Jane Russell best of all.  My favorite Mitchum film RIVER OF NO RETURN with Monroe and Tommy Rettig won't be showing up on TCM.

Well, these are three shows that I didn't watch at all.  Hopefully, none of my viewing will be axed. :-\

FJL, will the cast on the new recording be the same as the demo?  Are there any song changes/deletions/additions?

Hisaka has been deposited back at her hotel, goodbyes have been said, and well wishes have been sent.  I wish I could have captured the look on her face as she took her first bite of Du-Par's pancakes - it was priceless - she said it was one of the best things she's ever eaten.  I must now sit on my couch like so much fish because these last five days have been EXHAUSTING for one such as I.

DR George - It's the same cast - that's the cast of the original production and no one wanted to change that.   But pretty much entirely different orchestrations, and a good number of changes in the way the songs are presented, really the difference between something sort of "thrown together" hurriedly as a demo versus what is being released, which is a real cast recording with the real orchestrations that the composer wanted to have for the score.

Thanks for the info.  Sounds cool!  I can't wait. ;D

The first computers that I ever heard of were on TV..."Star Trek," "The Jetsons"...things like that.

The first computer that I owned was a Texas Instruments 99/4A that my parents bought for me when I was in high school.  It had a total of 16K internal memory.  It had the tape recorder memory storage, but if you wanted to upgrade the amount of memory (I don't know much it went up to), it cost something like $300...and that's early 1980s $300!

Left out! :'( ;)

I can't wait until my credit cards are paid off...sometime next year, I'll be totally out of debt and will be able to save up for some across-the-country trips!

And if I get a job - maybe I can go, too!  And of course a performance of LESTAT will have to be included in the festivities.

MBARNUM has been very quiet today, must be the move to the Rodzinski/TPunk estate that is wearing him out.

Unless DRELMORE was successful in his attempt to collect the three mill!!
