DR TPunk, I taped ALIAS last night (since i was watching Survivor).  If you can't find a copy (and really want to see it) i could either a) send you the tape after i watch it or b) copy it to dvd, which is very easy. Let me know.

Jennifer, if you could send me a copy of the dvd I would be eternally grateful!!

I'll never catch up, I'll never catch up!!!!!

Of course you will. Just think of the whimsical Golen Book "The Little Engine That Could" you read as a child:

Quote
I think I can, I think I can..

Of course you may also have discovered this version:

Quote
The Little Blue Engine
                  by Shel Silverstein

The little blue engine looked up at the hill.
His light was weak, his whistle was shrill.
He was tired and small, and the hill was tall,
And his face blushed red as he softly said,
“I think I can, I think I can, I think I can.”

So he started up with a chug and a strain,
And he puffed and pulled with might and main.
And slowly he climbed, a foot at a time,
And his engine coughed as he whispered soft,
“I think I can, I think I can, I think I can.”

With a squeak and a creak and a toot and a sigh,
With an extra hope and an extra try,
He would not stop — now he neared the top —
And strong and proud he cried out loud,
“I think I can, I think I can, I think I can!”

He was almost there, when — CRASH! SMASH! BASH!
He slid down and mashed into engine hash
On the rocks below... which goes to show
If the track is tough and the hill is rough,
THINKING you can just ain’t enough!

For the Babs fans (who may have missed it), the DVD set of the 5 TV specials is now on pre order.

All right, Jennifer!

I found the way to e-mail.  I wrote a very polite, measured e-mail.

Perhaps I'll finally hear something back.  The other place, however, is a bottomless pit from which nothing ever returns.

Of course, Jason probably knows that my customer comments will be common knowledge by now and that my e-mail will just be sauce for my cooked goose!

:D  :D

Response received from Amazon.com.

Their bad.  They're sorry.

They won't ship until Monday, but they say I'll have it Tuesday "at no extra charge"!!!

This is not me filled with glee, but I can live with it.

Of course that would be funny if I knew who Miss Walters is or was.  Fortunately not everything crosses the Pacific!

Ah, yes... I had to resort to some covert activities during the Walking and Eating Tour...  DR Jason was my accomplice.  I decided to hold back a bit while Jason led the gang up to Magnolia.  I thought Michael would get a kick out of the store.  -And they even have custom-sized ones now!  -Well, at least 51 different sizes.  And they even have a handy-dandy sizing chart.  How convenient.

-OK - Let's see what kind of responses this post generates...

Calling DRs elmore and TCB!

:D

Oh, I certainly could not respond, since I was not a part of the tour, but thank you for asking.

The Tacoma Weekly newspaper (which I am sure has often been compared to the NY Times and The Washington Post) has called my performance as Pickering "wonderfully funny."  And they even spelled my name right (Okay, how hard is it to spell T-O-M?).

Man alive, there were a LOT of posts to catch up with!

DR JRand55, glad you received your post card!!

TPunk does indeed look beautiful in her short hair! It is very cute, and so is she!

Vixmom, I am so glad that Vixter had fun on the walking, talking, eating tour and I am glad that you brought her along! And oh, the confusion when we wanted to take her into the toy store for adults! LOL! (To those who were not there, it was indeed an adult toy store we were all about to enter, but not what you are thinking...it was a store full of toys from Japanese Anime movies! LOL...but there was a bit of confusion there for a few minutes! LOL)

Media check:

VCR: this weeks Survivor, Amazing Race, and (courtesy DR Elmore3003) Desp. Housewives

DVD: As DR Rodzinski can attest, I have plenty of viewing materials from my crazed trip to Little India (I never shopped so much in my life as I did there...and the store clerks were some of the nicest I have ever come across!).

CDs: Allan Jones - On the Air
        Percy Faith 2 Lp CD
        Les Baxter 2 Lp CD
        Ray Conniff 2 Lp CD

purchased at Virgin in Times square

Rick Nelson:  Rick's Rarities  (Attention BK:  This CD features four songs from ON THE FLIP SIDE)

DVD:

THE LEGEND OF 1900 (starring Tim Roth)
DRACULA (starring Frank Langella)  ** My very favorite version

I'm home. Flights went well and the drive was nice. I did go from summer to fall, but that was a nice cool relief.

Danise, sorry I didn't get a chance to say goodbye, I left the hotel about 8:30 am.

BEN LOL! Glad you know how to spell Priscilla!
