DR Jane and Ginny, in case I didn't say it, I was so glad to spend time with you both.  I hope we can all do it again sometime.  Staying in the same hotel was fun.

Well, Danise, my conference will be in NYC October 6 & 7, 2006; I'm thinking a whole week, Oct. 1-8...

VERONICA MARS continues to be fascinating, wonderful, mysterious, eventful, and FUN! So many surprises on last night's show.

And DR Jennifer, you should have some of your questions about the name on the hand explained by this week's episode.

Yep, and I even saw the episode today, so I'm not behind.

Yes, this show continues to entertain me.  And Veronica always makes dramatic statements that leave the viewer wondering!

DANGEROUS WHEN WET was pretty bad, DR RLP....I would nominate it as even worse than JUPITER'S DARLING and right down there with ON THIS ISLAND.

Glad SOMEONE received their book!  Let us know what you think after you've read it, Cillaliz.

I'm hoping to read it this weekend.  Tomorrow I've been volunteered to be at the office by about 7:30am to let everyone from the other offices in. So, I won't be reading tonight. I'll let you know as soon as I finish it.

Jose did you MEMOIRS OF A GEISHA or are you thinking of reading it?

Ginny how was your book discussion and do you recommend the book?

I read Memoirs of A Geisha a long time ago. I really enjoyed it, much more than I thought I would.

Okay, already, fasting is over, let's get some posting going on.  You can atone afterwards.

I'm going to get a sticky bun or a some sort of bun, as I need a sweet.  I had Popeye's chicken - two breasts and some mac and cheese, which I must say was pretty bad.  I ate it all, just the same, and I probably don't NEED the sticky bun but I need a sweet.

Nah, I really don't care for JUPITER'S DARLING. But I can't say that I dislike it any more than ANYTHING GOES.

Well, except for the fact that there is a perfectly good Broadway show behind ANYTHING GOES and they jettisoned the whole thing and what they came up with as a substitute was dreadful.

This evening I put in the DVD of HEIDI. Not a great transfer, but I have always enjoyed this movir and tonight's viewing was no exception.

I still have about 15 minutes left in it, but I'll enjoy finishing it tomorrow.

Mary Nash certainly played some of the cruelest, most cold-hearted ladies in the movies.

WILL & GRACE was totally without humor tonight. One of the absolute worst episodes in the history of the show.

That scene in ALIAS tonight with the scientists exposed to a virus reminded me of a similar scene in THE ROCK.

And why do I have a feeling already that the two new agents are going to flip for one another? If so, the show will have sunk to a level even more commonplace than I thought it would for this season.

My god, the weather here in New York is awful!

I just got back from spending the evening with a former Disney friend and her two twin boys.  I was all set to meet Jason and company for Psycho, but then my friend called to see if I could hang out.  She works full time, is raising twin 1 1/2 year old boys and is going to law school in the evenings- I have no idea how she does it all... Anyway, she rarely has a night free so I took advantage of the opportunity.  We watched A Lot Like Love, ate pizza, and drank wine.  Oh and one of her sons fell asleep in my lap, it was pretty cool.

At least CSI had a good episode with the entire team once again working on a single case. Of course, with so many members on the team now, we have ten minutes of Catherine and then don't see her again. Five minutes of Sara and then she's gone. A scene with Warrick doing shoe impressions and then one with his new wife, and then he's off the screen while we focus on Nick.

They might want to go back to the two case episodes. That gives a nicer variety and gives everyone something pertinent to do.

And WITHOUT A TRACE had a touching story of a prostitute trying to get out of the business and reclaim her little girl. A new FBI agent was introduced to the show tonight (though why they figured they needed ANOTHER agent when there is barely enough to keep the ones they already have busy, I haven't figured out yet.)

I guess our intrepid moviegoers will be returning from PSYCHO soon.

One of the great masterpieces of cinema, I can remember seeing it when it came out and the theater audience actually rising out of their chairs and screeching in horror at each of the three pivotal shock moments.

They indeed don't make movies like this any more.

Well, I'm heading for bed. I still have a bit of a scratchy throat which I've been nursing for much of the afternoon and evening, so will take some Nyquil and let it do its work.

Good night, all.

Okay, BK, I'll bite...what is the CD of interest to me.  Have you found my long -lost recording of Flat Foot Floogie?

I'll probably get my REWIND when BK does his reading at Mystery & Imagination bookstore.  Speaking of which, I've been invited to M & I's Halloween Party where I will sign DVD copies of THE FLY.

PSYCHO was, as always, brilliant. We even had a couple of people in the audience who'd never seen it before, if you can imagine. I'd forgotten how damned good Anthony Perkins was in that role. Charming, witty, handsome and downright creepy.

I thoroughly enjoyed myself, though I nearly fell asleep a couple of times due to the heat in the auditorium.

And now I must shower and be off to bed... Wussburgers all around!!

Oy and vey, that's all I have to say.

Pogue, the CD of interest is the very rare soundtrack (limited release in France) to Le Bossu.  Wonderful Philippe Sarde score.

Has Ann caught up, or is she still atoning?

Matt - I agree on the new WITHOUT A TRACE agent being thoroughly unnecessary.  Seems they simply want a romantic interest for Danny, which is the type of thing that drives me batty with these shows.  As for CSI, I also prefer two-case episodes, but definitely prefer these one-case shows to those with three cases.
