There were almost 500 tickets sold, which they said was the highest attendance in the 26-year history of the silent film series at the Washington Center!

Now we're 80 or 90 miles northwest on the Kohala coast, but at the right spot you can see the bright orange glow from the eruption. The staffer who showed us has been here for dozens of eruptions and has never seen it from this far away before.
