I'm having spaghetti tonight.  I've thawed the final container of my last batch of sauce and it will be heated this evening.  I'm going to add some smoked mozzarella to the final dish.  And, of course, there will be garlic toast, made with sourdough bread!

The condo smells of Clorox this evening.  I poured Clorox into the toilets today to discourage growths, etc.  I do this every two to three weeks.

Even though I've cleaned and flushed the toilets since pouring in the Clorox, the aroma lingers.

Hello, again.  Finally, the 3-day weekend is here!

DR Cillaliz - I'm sorry you smashed your finger.  Did you put ice on it?

DR Danise - Your finger seems to have a "Buy" spasm.  Maybe I'll check out that website.

"Ruthless People"
"The Trouble With Harry" (a favorite Hitchcock)

TOD, amended:  The book I'm reading now is The Diaries of Dawn Powell, 1931-1965.  My favorite quote so far:

"...life is too short to go on unpleasant byroads." (March 4, 1930)

DR Ben, Thank you for telling me about the Michael Ball Internet radio show thing.  I shall listen to it soon and now I can record it as well!

And a Big Thank you to DR Elmore for letting me know about the Michael Ball dvd.

Well, DRDanise, do I know you or what?

Well, I am off (don't say it, Ron).  I have a Murder Mystery Dinner performance to do this evening.  DR Ann and Jed endured it last night.  Hopefully we can tweak it a little tonight, and make it a little harder to solve.

Grant Rant, Day 2:  Guess who got to break the 24-hour-old news to the library director that we were not selected?  You got it, Ginny, the peon.  Guess who was not even in the building today?  You got that, too, the PR "expert."

Out of the mouths of babes department:

I had been playing with the kids with the t.v. on, but the sound off, when my 9 year old looked at the t.v. and said:

"Wow, there are a lot of African Americans in that play!"  I looked and Oprah was on with The Color Purple cast.

Oprah got up on the stage, at which point my 7 year old asked "Are all those people her kids?"   ;D

I had a lovely luncheon with Vinnie - we ate at The Cheesecake Factory - I ordered a half-Caesar, which I only ate half of, since it was HUGE, and my favorite spicy cashew chicken, which I also only ate half of.  I took the rest of the latter home and will nibble on it now.

I loved "Some Sunday Morning".  I even bought the sheet music (even thought I can't play it).  Was it ever released to a single or a LP?

I have to admit.

"Ghost Whisper" is turning into my weekly cry.  I haven't had that since "Little House".

I like the show, too.  I didn't know from the spooky beginning that it was going to become warm and fuzzy.

Ben, poor Homer.  Aren’t there doggie parks in NY where he can play?  On a happier note I’m glad the dates for Cardiff work out.

Continued vibes for vixgranddad.

Ron it seems to me with all your allergies you should avoid Clorox, not use so much of it.

Ginny I’m very sorry about the grant and know how hard you worked for it.

Thanks, Jane.  Now that I've ranted for a couple of days, I'm going to try to put it aside and enjoy my weekend with my family and all you wonderful people out there in the dark.  But first, I need a good night's sleep.  See y'all tomorrow - 'night!

Well, I was offered a word processing job for 6 p.m. to midnight so I took it (really needed the $$$) and here I sit, waiting for work to be handed back to me.  Luckily, I was able to catch up on today's posts!

Well, there were SUPPOSED to be vibes there, but they didn't show up, further proof of my ignorance of how these bells and whistles work.  I shall try again:

<3<3<3  HEALTHY HEART VIBES TO VIXDAD! <3<3<3

Fine, they will just have to sit there like so much fish, rather than scrolling like I wanted.   ::) :D

About the jewerly and perfume.  I'm not much for perfume (as you should already know) but jewerly.  Ahhh jewelry.  I LOVE it.  I buy tons of it and put it all in my jewelry box and that's where most of it stays.

I guess I'm more of a collector.   I do have some favorites.  My dragons and unicorns.  My good luck gargolye that I wear on every trip.  My watch.  Some earrings.

I also get a kick out of wearing my Babylon 5 pins at important meetings.  I know that's odd but it makes me feel smug and I have yet to have anyone who  knows what they mean without my telling them.

There they all sit and I'm wearing a Psi Corps insignia or the Ranger pin.  I've even had some compliments on how nice they are.    :)

TOD:  At this very moment?  Why, "Elusive Butterfly" by Bob Lind, of course!  It's from the Time-Life Singers & Songwriters collection, which is on my iTunes -- all 216 songs!

DVD player -- nothin', but I'm expecting the first few episodes of "Lost" to arrive tomorrow.
