Here we've got Simon singing a song written by Marvin Hamlisch (music) and Carole Bayer Sager (lyrics).  The idea of Marvin singing the song over the opening credits for The Spy Who Loved Me makes me cringe; I'll stick with Carly any day.

I will too. ;)

The muzak guys are mixing Christmas songs with the usual 60's-70's-80's pop standards over the store's sound system.  I'd really rather they went with one or the other.

And Kenny G's sax playing sounds like a second-rate subway guy playing for loose change.  Somebody, make him stop!!!   :P

I've got dinner to make.  Only der B is complaining of a sensitive stomach.  Limits my options more than a little.  Bleh.

I didn't.  It's linked to a website.  Quote my message and you can see how it works. :)

No, it's the global HHW "upload folder" that Mark B. has to empty.

DR Michael: Have you tried antiallergens?  Contact your doctor; he or she may have a solution.  Or a pill.

Yep, I am already on allergy meds.

DR MBarnum - Sorry to hear about your dog woes.  Do you think your friends would be able to add her to their family?  This way you could visit her.  -And post more pics of you and your friends.

Well, with under eighty posts, I'd say we're well on our way to a new all-time low here on this board, wouldn't you?

Nonsense, we can do it!!!

I wrote Mr. Mark Bakalor about the photo purge, but he hasn't responded - he may be out of town for Thanksgiving.  I'll drop him a line again tomorrow if it hasn't been done.  Save your photos.

Topic of the Day...

Billy Joel - Too many songs to mention, but "Until the Night" is my all-time favorite, with most of the material on "An Innocent Man" close runner-ups.
Elton John
Paul Simon
Ben Folds
Stevie Wonder
Dave Frishberg
Randy Newman - Although, I prefer to hear his songs sung by others.
Jimmy Webb
Carole King
Laura Nyro
Oleta Adams
Dolly Parton
James Taylor - "Shower the People"!

Tonight's viewing will be "The Chosen". I gather it was a musical in 1988. Do any DRs know if any of the score was recorded and by whom?

Thanks for the clip DRMS.  The oh so svelte Mr Bisque was very funny in that scene.  Who directed that episode?

And how TALL was Susan Dey, anyway?

Nice shirt, too, BTW.

DR GEORGE I have scrutinized those pictures of the marquee, but I cannot find DR JOSE's name anywhere.  He'd better check the billing clause in his contract!

I went ahead and headed to Pentagon City Mall last night after rehearsal.  Rehearsal ended at 8:30, and I was at the mall by 8:45.  Imagine my surprise when I stepped inside and had no major crowds to deal with.  Even when I hit the Apple Store, there was no "madness".  Apparently, even shopped earlier in the day.  -Even some of the clerks at the Apple Store looked a bit surprised that business died down so fast in the evening.  Some of them even looked bored.  I passed on the one-day only specials, but I did pick up some additional memory (RAM) for my iBook, as well as the OS X Tiger.  -And the memory had just come down in price too, so I guess I did get something on "sale" yesterday.
