...Actually, before heading over to Steve's, I made a stop at Ukrop's to pick up some groceries for him. When I had called him earlier, he had made mention that his cupboards were bare, so... Some cold cuts, bread, cereal, milk, ice cream, cookies, etc... -Just the essentials.

-I also got a tray of mini-tarts: (one of each) coconut custard, lemon chess, chocolate fudge and pecan. -And once I got to Steve's his cupboards were not
that bare, but at least now he has a couple of snacks.

He's doing well. Yes, work is crazy - mainly because he's trying to clear his desk before taking off next week. His mom's medical condition has "evened out" for now, so that's good too. -And his sisters have been rotating "duty".
We ended up heading over to Bottom's Up Pizza - it's located in Shockoe Bottom - for dinner. It's great pizza! Steve had a slice of their "Loaded" variety, and I tried a slice of one of their new specialty pizzaz, "The State Fair". The crust is spread with Gulden's Brown Mustard, then topped with Caramelized Onions, Roasted Red Peppers, Sausage and Mozzarella Cheese. It was quite tasty, and the mustard "sauce" provided a nice counterpoint to the savory toppings. As always, their sourdough pizza crust is basically good enough to be served on it's own.
So, now we're back at his place. Emeril is on TV in the background. I'm on my laptop, and Steve is working on his computer - more rehearsal CDs for the Choral Society.
And in a little bit, we'll dig into the Breyer's Vanilla and some of those mini-tarts...
