Looks that kill in skating - Katarina Witt used to do that at every competition. Would stand on the edge of the rink and watch every competitor skate in order to psych them out. Sometimes it worked, but I loved it in 1987 when she stood there with her heart sinking while Debi Thomas skated a perfect program to win the world championship that Katarina had held for the past three years.

Just popping in to say hey, long time no read... I'm playing a little catch-up, but I haven't had much of an opportunity to do recreational internet lately.  At any rate, hi everyone!

Jose, congrats on your weight loss success!  Your pic looks great, just from your face you can tell you're making progress!

I miss you all... not much news, except that I'm obsessed with the Olympics.  Hopefully I'll be back soon!

DR SWW - Have you ever made the Greek Lemon Roasted Potatoes?  My favorite accompaniment with leg of lamb.  -But a really good rice pilaf is good too... as is yanni, the Greek-style green beans.  -Not the Greek-style, long-haired keyboard artiste.

Darn!

No real listing of Target's house brand, Archer Farms, on their website, however, I did manage to Google this site:

http://www.taquitos.net/snacks.php?manuf_code=305

It seems there is an "Italian Potato Chip", but that's just a potato chip with Italian seasoning.  But they also list a Thai style chip...  Hmm...  Guess I'll have to check the shelves.

*Oh, and looking at the list has made me miss those Ming Tsai, Blue Ginger cookies.  There were two varieties: a five spice shortbread, and a chocolate-chocolate chip ginger cookie.  Both were very good.

Lately, I've been enamoured of Utz's Dark Kettle Potato Chips.  Crunchy with a robust flavor.

Haven't firmly decided on any DVDs for tomorrow. I do have those DVD-Rs to burn for others, but if I have time, I guess I might try to finish up the CSI boxed set for Season 5. There is one disc left in the box.

Not really a spoiler. You didn't name any competitor. It could have been any of the teams.

The local foods market makes their own potato chips. They are a little greasy, but boy are they good. Hot from the frying pan

Where are you now nowadays, DR Joy?
I am sitting on my couch in my apartment that I share with my darling husband (absentee DR Noel) in Manhattan, in New York City, in the Great State of New York (a.k.a. the Empire State), in the United States of America, planet Earth, Milky Way Galaxy, somewhere in the universe.   ;D

And I'm looking for a job -- got close to a job at Binder, but no cigar.  Oh well, hopefully I'm still on the "will call" list.  I had a job at a management company for awhile, but it didn't work out and I said goodbye after a week and a half.  So if anyone knows anyone who needs a casting assistant... I'm available!

I should post the map of our route on the My Fair Lady tour.  It will cross your eyes and make your hair stand on end.   :o

Those are good.  And Utz has rolled out a new line of "natural chips" which are pretty good too.  However, my favorite will always be the Grandma Utz Potato Chips.  Love that crunch.  And the BBQ variety is pretty good too.   -But I also like Utz's Crab Chip and Salt & Pepper ones too.

...And whenever I would buy a sub at Subway, I would inevitably end up putting some of those Grandma Utz Chips on my sandwich for some extra crunch.

Totally!  And then there was the reaction shot of Lindsey Jacobellis' mom, who was clearly screaming "GET UP GET UP GET UP" just like me and DR Noel.  Sheesh.

LOL, that sounds like work.  So is it your testimony that the chips in question located on the table where the victim choked on the sandwich?

bad example but you get the idea
