Everytime you mention this name I get mental picture of Mrs. Beasley... the doll from Family Affair

I carried a Mrs. Beasley doll around for a couple years when I was a little kid

No, you wouldn't.  You would buy India.

Only a few Indians.

Good morning all.

A question that was posed at dinner last night... what would you do with the money if you were the single winner of a the $365 million powerball?

Yes, I'd quit my job. ;) I'd pay to have a World Wide HHW Get Together!  No, really!  I would! ;D

Alice Lorne played Samantha's dotty old aunt.

Wasn't that Marion Lorne?

I was telling my mom tonight how we had a cat parade in the first attempt to move the litter box down stairs with song and the christening of he new box by Callie and my mother burst out laughing and told me that my niece, Samantha, is now doing an hilarious immitation of me talking to my cats.  She said she's got to tell her about this one....  Actually I laugh at the way I talk to the cats, I'd love to hear the routine

The Ballet Trockadero de Monte Carlo is performing on the Ovation Channel right now with a dead-on parody of Jerome Robbins' magnificent "Dances at a Gathering."  The Robbins ballet is fantastic, but this parody is so mean.  And funny!

Jane - i had the great pleasure of meeting Michael Shayne when he was in New York a few months ago.  But we'll be in and out of Boca on the same day, so we won't have much opportunity on this trip.

Did they do the Robbins parody?  I think they call it "Yes, Virginia, Another Piano Ballet" or something like it.  It's so dead-on!  I've seen "Dances at a Gathering" and it's an absolutely glorious piece.  something so perfect is wide open to parody and the Balets Trockadero catch every bit of silliness within the solemnity.

Sounds like some pre-ordering is in order for me, DRMBARNUM....I didn't realize the next AIP's were so close together.

And of course they didn't see them at the thee-yater, DR RLP - they saw them at the DRIVE-IN!!

JULIE -- I bet, you're right.  It was an MGM release of a Virginia and Andrew Stone fillum....

Not only did I talk to my cats, when I was 18 and living alone my cat and I ate our meals together at the table.  She was very neat about it, sitting on a tall stool wile eating off her plate on the table.  That all ended once she had children.

The She Creature/Day the World Ended is the other double feature released in April!

I love JULIE......we saw the movie at the drive-in, must have been on a re-release because it was on with THUNDER ROAD.

And I sung the theme song until my mother made me stop:

Julieeeeeeeeeeeeee....it's the voice of my own love.

And it promises  - egggs-staceeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

As DRMBARNUM said Alice Pearce played Gladys and when she passed away the role was taken over by Sandra Gould.

I don't know.  I don't remember what any of the dances were called (I barely looked at the program) and nothing seemed Robbins-like.  It was all very classical-ballet-spoofing...unless Robbins' dance was very "classical."
