Dang... Tony Dow is responsible for something... oh now I remember... breaking DR Jane's friend's heart... the rat

So how is Dennis Weaver reponsible for Ron Howard?

MBarnum you might ask Tony about that, not my friend in particular but the studio’s policy of not sending his photo alone to his fans.

Of course, Marge and Gower's "Smoke Gets in Your Eyes" from LOVELY TO LOOK AT breathes romance. It ranks among the great roamntic dance duets of all-time, I think.

Got LADY AND THE TRAMP early this afternoon but since I had some things recorded from last evening, decided I'd wait to watch it tomorrow when I'm not planning on leaving the house.

Feel better vibes for CP and stay well vibes for the lovely wife.

FJL I would not have minded you posting Dennis Weaver introduced Ron Howard’s parents, plus it’s in the news right now.

Instead, I began the afternoon viewing with last night's CSI: MIAMI a good case and some excellent interaction between team members. I love the balance the CSIs have attained about giving us personal stuff mixed with the cases. The shows are 90% about the cases they're investigating, but there is every week the 10% where we get little peeps behind the facades of the team members. Keeps them all interesting and makes me always eager to find out more.

Next was COURTING ALEX which did have some witty lines this week. Witty, but I didn't laugh once. Still, I appreciated some good writing on display.

Then I watched THAT NIGHT IN RIO which I DVRed last night from the Fox Movie Channel. It looks every bit as good as the WEEK-END IN HAVANA DVD looked as far as sharpness and color richness. Really amazing looking print of that fairly forgettable movie on display.

What a beautiful day it turned out to be here. 70 degrees and just beautiful weather all around. And even warmer in the days to come.

What a beautiful day it turned out to be here. 70 degrees and just beautiful weather all around. And even warmer in the days to come.

Phase I of our Stormy Week has moved out and we have seen a transition from the Pineapple Express which brought torrential rains and winds and warm air (highs in 60s) to today's off-and-on blue skies-dark skies with strong breezes and a considerable drop in temperature as a storm from the Arctic moves down upon us.

Tomorrow is supposed to be really bad weather (as apposed to what we just had!!!), but only time will tell.

I was at Jane and Keith's wedding, and i do remember: Jane's mother WAS, indeed, sober throughout. Plus, she actually paid for our less-than-flattering-but-better -than-most bridesmaids' dresses... She had her issues, but she was basically pretty decent.

Joy - best wedding vibes. I always think most folk tend to behave when necessary....

So how many people here will watch tonight's 2 hour premiere of THE AMAZING RACE?  I know I can't wait.  This is one of my absolute favorite shows!

Vibes for DRs DTM, CP, MBarnum and Danise, and anyone else who needs them. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

DR Danise i'm glad you are starting to feel better.

DR Joy, I enjoyed your wedding stories.  Wow, what drama. Hopefully everyone will behave.

Thanks for the link to Deep Discount, DR Ron. I couldn't find three titles I wanted and didn't already have, but it's nice to have this for some others.

I see that THE APPRENTICE bowed to its lowest numbers ever on Monday night - not quite 10 million viewers. I'm guessing NBC will let it sit in that timeslot one more week and then move LAS VEGAS back to Monday and let THE APPRENTICE head to Friday.

I'm not.  I actually have never watched more than a minute or two of this show.  Not that I think it's a bad show or anything like that...it's just caught my attention.  Although, I do (and did, last night) watch "The Apprentice."  That's a guilty pleasure. ;)

When Chip and Reichen won THE AMAZING RACE, that was it for me. I couldn't stand the tension and pressure. I was losing sleep worrying about how my favorites were going to do. (Same thing happened with SURVIVOR.) I simply get too caught up in the drama of it all, and with well produced games like RACE and SURVIVOR, it's hard NOT to care, to have rooting interests.

So, I've left all but IDOL behind now.

Yes DRMATTH - Smoke Gets In Your Eyes from the aforementioned LOVELY TO LOOK AT is very romantic, but I didn't see it until recently.

I only knew them from their names and appearances on shows like THE BELL TELEPHONE HOUR - and the ONLY married celebrities I knew of were Lucy and Desi.  And even married people like Howard Duff and Ida Lupino aka Mr Adams & Eve had different last names, so my mind decided Marge & Gower were brother and sister.

I will be F/C for THE AMAZING RACE this evening.  Never got into THE APPRENTICE or SURVIVOR or even AMERICAN IDOL.....although I easily could.

I follow them here at HHW!

DR MBARNUM didn't answer me, so I will never know if the beautiful but evil Monica kicked the bucket....I will have to watch the movie again....but probably not all 3 hours and 15 minutes of it.

You weren't even remotely aware of George Burns and Gracie Allen as a married couple?

OH!  I will be heading out again shortly.  In fact, I shall be attending another performance of "Forbidden Broadway, SVU" tonight.  My friend still had some comps for this week, so... And I think a new "tribute" will be going in tonight too.
