Oh DR MATTH thanks for the info yesterday about the upcoming SUPERMAN the series DVD release of the next two seasons....I was thinking they would put the last ones together someway.  That will be 3/4 and won't they also have 5/6?

I'm sure 5/6 will follow late in 2006 or early in 2007. Hooray!

Did what you received at least come in an "official" box?

No, I didn't get the retail box either.  Just the two disks in a DVD case.

I have to comment on the touring Wicked as well-- You know I just saw the one that came through Tampa in January and I also thought the NY version was better.

NOW y'all tell me, DRs Danise and Jose!  Just kidding, we're taking our 17-year-old niece as her Christmas present; I'll leave it to her parents to take her to NYC.

When I finally came inside, I put FIREFLY back on and watched a couple more episodes. The first one up was called "Out of Gas" as the good ship Serenity was floating dead in space with life support systems failing and we started having flashbacks not only to see how the ship got into such a precarious position but even DEEPER flashbacks showing how the captain rounded up the present crew coming from so many different backgrounds.

The second episode had to do with a pillaging assignment to add some much needed revenues to their coiffers and also to get some medical information on River, the deeply psychotic child experimented on my the evil Alliance technicians. Very exciting episode.

I don't think I've seen REDS since I saw it in the theater on its original release. I liked it then. I wonder how I'd feel about it now.

I haven't seen the movie, but I love the theme song. ;)

Just read this on the internet. Sure to make DR Jennifer and others here very happy:

"CBS renewing freshman series Criminal Minds, Ghost Whisperer and How I Met Your Mother for a second season, the network announced Monday. "

The TOD was on my mind while I was running errands.  Don't know if these are technically bio-pics, but they both made me want to learn more about the real-life people portrayed (and both movies are favs of mine):

Wow!  I just got an email about doing charts for baritone Rodney Gilfry, who played Stanley in the premiere of Andre Previn's opera STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE.  Well, I've been waiting for the phone to ring.  Hoo and ray!

:)

Well, as I said, you get to see the debut of Julia Murney as Elphaba.  There are many people in NYC who would love to catch her on the road as Elphaba.  And I know some people who are making the trip to do just that.  -If that means anything. ;)

And if I didn't think that you should see the tour, I would not have played elf.  :)

I was going to list "Cradle Will Rock" when I saw "Frida " listed earlier.
For me "Frida" worked "Visually" but I felt nothing. "Cradle Will Rock" is wonderful.

And one for DR MBarnum!

I still remember the pic of him in Opera News a few years ago.  He was in a basketball uniform - tank top and shorts.  He certainly has great guns.

I also read that CBS has renewed all three CSIs, COLD CASE, WITHOUT A TRACE, both SURVIVOR and THE AMAZING RACE.

Not yet renewed (but not canceled) are OUT OF PRACTICE, COURTING ALEX, and CLOSE TO HOME. Obviously, they're going to watch their ratings closely over the next weeks to see if they, too, will be offered another season.

Good Afternoon!

Well... I headed out for my jog, but since my right foot felt a little "funny", I just decided to go for a brisk walk.  However, after about 10 minutes, I just started jogging.  20 minutes later... Then it was back here for a couple of sets of push-ups and crunches and some stretching...  Ahh...

*It's amazing just how fast the muscles can lock back up and tighten again.  However, it's also nice to know just how fast they "remember" also.

**And this was just what I needed to get back into the swing of things.  I still have a new Opening Night outfit to buy in a couple of weeks.

Kenneth Turan had an interesting rationale for the victory of CRASH over BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN (and the other nominees) last night that made me feel a lot better once I read it.

Thanks for posting that lovely photo of Miss Allison Hayes, DRMBARNUM.

Today, March 6, is indeed her birthday.  She would have been 76 today.  And although you can't tell it from that still - in WOLF DOG she plays a faithful wife and mother of a young son.

Happy Birthday, Allison!

I watched the beginning of the Jimmy Kimmel Show last night and they showed a nice shot of the El Portal - and in the lobby was some kind of new fancy Pontiac Car!
