SAN ANTONIO. Thanks for the info. I'm not sure I've ever seen that one.

It's the one with the song, "Some Sunday Morning" in it.

Night all!

Bought a copy of "Crash" today..  Because it was there. About the Equivalent of $10 US.

And that is not why I am listening to Hall & Oats singing "Rich Girl" at this very moment.

MMMMM  They just sang "Maneater" and I bought a copy of "Eating Raul" today as well.

"Kiss On My List" does not connect though.

I just saw that the boxed set of MGM musicals (SUMMER STOCK, ZIEGFELD FOLLIES, TILL THE CLOUDS ROLL BY, IT'S ALWAYS FAIR WEATHER, and THREE LITTLE WORDS) comes out April 25th.

Sad to say, I didn't get a shipping notice from Amazon about HARRY POTTER today, so that means no GOBLET OF FIRE for Wednesday. Oh, well, I'll have to find something else.

Interesting coinkydink -

The first "Broadway" show that der Brucer ever saw was Goldilocks, in Philly before it got to Broadway.

With Strich.

(She was in the show, he was in the audience, they weren't dating.)

The theater where we saw Joseph and the Randy Vicar's Coat is the theater where he saw Goldilocks yea those many years ago.  The very same!

My favorite Doctor!  I never did get to meet him but I did meet a couple of people from the shows--Peter Davidson, Anthony Ainley, Colin Baker, John Nathan Turner, Nicola Boryant.  No pictures handy.  They might be part of what I lost in the "flood" (long story).

I am jealous.... I love Peter Davison... Lucky Girl!!

Perhaps you could use the Gary Edwards Combo's "Franz Liszt Twist"..

I tried an interesting combination for dinner tonight.

Pork loin chops (two)
Crushed pineapple (1 can)
Ginger (1 tablespoon, minced) (the plant, not the kind that hung out with Mary Ann)
Sesame seeds (1 tablespoon)
Sesame oil (1 teaspoon)
Cayenne pepper (1 dash)

In a medium skillet, mix the pineapple, ginger, sesame seeds, and cayenne over medium heat, let flavors meld for maybe three or four minutes.  Add the pork loin chops on top of the mixture, and cover for eight to ten minutes, turning the chops over about half-way through.  Drizzle the sesame oil over the chops, and serve the chops with the pineapple mixture either on top or underneath.

Corn and Rice-a-Roni make good accompaniments.

It was just announced that baseball great Kirby Puckett has died.

He lived in my town.

Spring Training is going on here in town. My son said good morning to Derek Jeter at a Starbucks this morning, he told me.

Back from supper with Miss Tammy Minoff.  I've decided to talk about all kinds of songs from musicals - thanks for the suggestions - eleven o'clock numbers, opening numbers, I want songs, charm songs, comedy songs, etc.  That should kill an hour very quick.

Must relax for a mo, write the notes, then write a page of notes for class tomorrow.

I come home and everyone disappears.  How unseemly.  Still, a rather amazing post-Oscar day of postings, wouldn't you say?  In fact, I'd say that if folks hadn't WUSSBURGERED we would have been in the top seven posting days.  Well, perhaps we'll have a frenzy in the next hour and fifteen minutes.

Adelphia had a hiccup and lost synch with the computer, so naturally we had to do the ridiculous unplugging of everything, shutting the computer down, replugging then relogging on, after which all was well.

For DR JRand in the morning!
"Daisy Petal Picking" was the second hit for Jimmy Gilmer after his #1 "Sugar Shack".  About 6 years before "Bottle Of Wine"

I wish.  I really should be off to bed.  I wanted to say hello.  Tomorrow is a “fun” packed day and then I’m off to LA for a wedding shower.

Bruce and Penny I will try and call while I’m there.  I barely have time to do everything I need to do before leaving Wednesday morning.  I still haven’t set up plans with all my family.  There are several people I haven’t seen in a few years I really must see.

I have friends who return to their hometowns and have very few people to see.  I on the other hand am far too good at staying connected with folks.  ;D
