Well here it is:

on the London Record Label:  Mantovani Continental Encores!  ;D

Oh yes DRFRANCOIS I would imagine that the Florida Salvation Army Stores and Goodwill Stores would be treasure chests of items!

Notice the gentleman's gallant tipping of the hat, the corsage, the lush draperies and furnishings...and finally milady's haute couture dress.  Single strap of fabric flowers, gathered at the waist, a pleated balloon skirt with fitted hem....dress is green and blue chiffons criss-crossed at the bodice, matching green low heeled shoes and evening bag.  Opera length gloves and rainbow earrings complete the ensemble.  8)

I am not sure where they are going since the gentleman is NOT wearing evening dress, or perhaps they are going to his flat so that he can change and he is picking her up on the way.  ;D

At any rate, his walking stick is certainly positioned at a jaunty angle.  :o

As you know, Tutti Camarata, who coached Annette's career was the founder of London records! :D

Small world, isn't it, after all!

I am still at the starting gate and probably being passed by several people.   I had several cookies today.

Gosh, I could EAT a cookie right now.

But it's too very close to dinner time.

Why don't you do the calling?

You know, I'm ashamed to admit that, I wonder if I live on this planet because I've just realized that both Raul Julia and Anita Morris are gone and both on the same year; 1994! My!

Look, I have no problem with the Irish, or the wearin of the green, or the whole St. Patty's Day celebration; but really, to my mind, it is no Commonwealth Day!

I saw that Frankie Laine movie listed last night. How is he as an actor?

Personally, I love his singing!

DP Colin has Frankie Laine's "Hell Bent For Leather" LP.  I suspect he was disappointed when he found out it was country songs.

I shall write TPunk's paper.  In fact, I've already started it.  I have no idea what subject she's supposed to write about, but it's quite good so far.

I am glad that someone has heeded my call for help!  Now I can spend the weekend reorganizing my sticker collection rather than working on that tedious paper.  Any subject will do so long as it is in 12 point font with 1 inch margins!  ;D

 Pretty Irish Girl
Originalmusik: Oliver Wallace
Originaltext: Lawrence Edward Watkin
Have you ever seen the seagulls
Ah flyin' over heather
Or the crimson sails
On Goey Bay
The fishermen unfurl

The earth is filled with beauty
And its gathered all together
In the form and face and dainty grace
Of a pretty Irish girl

Oh she is my dear and darlin' one
Her eyes are sparklin' full of fun
No other, no other
Could match the likes of her

Oh she is my dear my darlin' one
My smilin' and beguilin' one
I love the ground she walks upon
My darling Irish girl

What's yer topic??? Maybe BK's article is spot-on!!

My paper is actually a case study of a family I have been working with for the past six months.  I have to create an assessment and treatment plan based on Bowenian family theory.

Any chance that this is what you have been working on BK??

So far, my TPunk paper's topics are the uses of vegetables as fine art, hamburgers through the ages, and Fairy Dust: Real or Imagined?

Let's dump the family theory- these topics sound far more interesting!

TPunk:

Would you like a somewhat dry paper on how to calculate compound interest and annuities?  I mean, it's not something Nancy Sinatra could do any which way.

And now off to class to give a somewhat dry lecture on how to calculate compound interest and annuities.

Wow, I am overwhelmed by the offers of paper topics.  Thank you to FJL also.  Too bad there's that whole plagerism issue to contend with.

I 've actually heard that many professors now scan their students' papers and run them through some computer program to check for uncited quotations and other misedmeanors.  Can this be true, or is it some sort of urban legend that is passed along by college students...

Perhaps i can offer a few suggestions. Is this the topic she mentioned a while back on Like water for Chocloate... I read the book and I am very familiar iwth it.

Good memory, I'm impressed! I actually did have the option of writing it about a movie, but upon further consideration, I decided to go ahead and write it about a real life family I have been working with even though I haven't been doing actual "family therapy" with them.  It's kind of like fulfilling my fantasy of what I would do if mom was actually open to coming to family sessions.

In honor of the holiday, for dinner tonight, I had Corned Pork.  No, I am serious.  My friend made it from scratch using pork tenderloin.  It was wonderful, and it had far less fat than corned beef.

Dear Reader TPunk, I wrote a couple papers called "Redwall: When Rodents Attack" and "Two Guys, Two Birds, and Not Enough Prozac."

If you sneak into your paper a sentence about F. Scott Fitzgerald, I will mail you a box of cookies.

I am tempted by your challenge.  Also, I really want to read "Two Guys, Two Birds, and Not Enough Prozac."
