Just read this on the internet:

- -Veronica Mars moving to its former time slot on Tuesdays for the remainder of its season.  - -

I knew UPN had been showing VERONICA reruns on Tuesdays for the last couple of weeks. Looks like now, the originals will be be playing there.

Argh! Makes Wednesday a little less crowded, but now Tuesdays at 9 will be crowded: HOUSE, VERONICA MARS, SCRUBS.  Argh!

Do you know when this starts? And is it at 8pm or 9pm?

Why did they wait till America's Next Top Model started again only to switch it to tuesdays?

Oops DR MattH I see you wrote 9pm.  I think that may be good for my sister since she doesn't watch house or scrubs on tuesdays. And she likes to sit with the baby in her room at 9pm, but she can't watch tv since she is taping Veronica for me!

Yes, I had a terrible time getting back on to HHW today.  I guess that will teach me to leave the apartment.

I keep thinking today is Friday; that bodes no good.

And have been needing a few attempts to post!
Perhaps the posts are too fraught with meaning.

I did get one "too many logged on" message.  I checked a PM and went back, and all was fine...a little slow, but otherwise fine.

I had no problems logging on around 4 p.m. my time. But around 5 p.m., I couldn't get back one once I had left.

Had no trouble getting on thirty minutes later.

I've dropped a line to our host.  I'm sure they'll ignore it, but hopefull fix the problem - or, they'll fix the problem, then deny there's a problem.  Either way, hopefully we'll get it put right.

It has been difficult to get here.

Nah, RLP!  It's just that I showed up today for a change, and everybody left in droves.

Actually, Bill, I think we are going to have to blame Jose.

I could have a blast with the word PETARD!

14th of July Firecrackers; les pétards du 14 juillet!

(In French "to fart" is.... péter!! Knew you'd like to know that! LOL!)
-------

PETARD

A small bomb used to blow in a door or gate.

If it wasn’t for its appearance in Shakespeare’s Hamlet: “For ‘tis the sport to have the enginer / Hoist with his owne petar” and its fossil survival in the rather more modern spelling to be hoist with one’s own petard, this term of warfare would have gone the way of the halberd, brattice and culverin.

A petard was a bell-shaped metal grenade typically filled with five or six pounds of gunpowder and set off by a fuse. Sappers dug a tunnel or covered trench up to a building and fixed the device to a door, barricade, drawbridge or the like to break it open. The bomb was held in place with a heavy beam called a madrier.

Unfortunately, the devices were unreliable and often went off unexpectedly. Hence the expression, where hoist meant to be lifted up, an understated description of the result of being blown up by your own bomb. The name of the device came from the Latin petar, to break wind, perhaps a sarcastic comment about the thin noise of a muffled explosion at the far end of an excavation.

DR ORR;

I saw the very paintings you mentioned the other day at the Huntington Library, as well as One of Gutenberg's HUGE bibles there....

Some areas of the Library Gardens were used in the Mame film musical, for the Mame number I believe!

This is an all-time slow news day, and I, like my gal pals Babs Streisand and Donna Summer, say Enough Is Enough.

Four is such an even number...and it's divisible by two.

DR François is divisble by un.

If he were joined by an ami(e), they would be divisible by deux!
