I saw that those CHARLIE BROWN features were being released next week. I'm undecided about buying them as I never thought they quite captured the charm of the early TV programs. Still, A BOY NAMED CHARLIE BROWN might be nice to have. I'll have to think about it.

Both Skip and I have commented tonight on how glad we were to have seen LOTR before  these major reviews hit the stands.

I'm confused by how critics who know the story inside out can comment on how confused they would have been had they not known the story, but Mr. Brantley seems to have brought along a companion who went in relatively cold, so to speak.

Maybe a little page 7 dance to "You're Getting to Be a Hobbit With Me."

DR Laura, I thought of you the other day when I was shoveling. There was a cardinal way up in the top of the tree and it was singing away while I worked (it whistled while I worked) anyway, he was beautiful and I wanted to take a photo, but he was too far away

How beautiful that must have been. I see them rarely (there was a pair at the Botanical Garden last year and always several at Boyce Thompson Arboretum). They are never yard birds here.

They look especially beautiful against a fresh show.

FJL, How much of the trilogy does LOTR cover? I have a hard time imaging it that condensed

WHAT A CUTIE!!!  I really miss the zoo. We don't have one here. I haven't been to the Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha, but it's supposed to be wonderful. I'll have to go this spring

Cillaliz - They really do cover the whole trilogy in three acts in about  3 hours and 45 minutes.
