DR Ron, several of us commented on the COLD CASE episode on Sunday night and Monday morning. I liked it a bit more than DRs Jennifer and Maria did.

Could not have been more shocked by the bottom three tonight on IDOL. Well, truth be told, two of them did not have good nights on Tuesday, but they all have given very confident and dazzling performances on other shows.

I would rather the other female in the bottom three have gone rather than the one who was eliminated. And I will take a small bow for helping to save the male who was in the bottom three. I dialed his number constantly for two hours (except for the times I was dialing all numbers to see whose was busy). He's my favorite singer on the show, and while I don't think he'll win, I want him to place higher than 8th.

No, DR Ron, the actor who Sean Hayes' character goes to Catalina to see was played by Brad Rowe.

I watched another thirty minutes of BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN but didn't get any farther along due to a lengthy telephone call. I got to the point where Jack meets his future wife.

DEAL OR NO DEAL is simplistic but very addictive. I found myself hollering at the contestants as if I were in the audience! I stopped watching just to save my vocal cords.

BONES had a highly entertaining outing with the specialists involved in discovering pirate booty. Finally my favorite cast member T. J. Thyne got a moment in the spotlight.

LOST continues to pile mysteries on top of enigmas. I wouldn't dream of missing a second of it.

A very affecting episode of THE EVIDENCE tonight, too, as Martin Landau got to show his stuff as the M.E. I love INVASION, but I'll miss THE EVIDENCE once it leaves the air.

I've never read the book that THE NUN'S STORY was based on, but I should since this has been one of my all-time favorite movies ever since I first saw it. The score is brilliant, Audrey got robbed of the 1959 Oscar, and I found it shocking that Peter Finch wasn't nominated in the supporting actor category (unless he didn't want to be in that category and refused to be placed there. He didn't have a large enough role to have competed with the likes of Heston and James Stewart and Jack Lemmon in 1959.)

Oh......Billy's Hollywood Screen Kiss.  Yes, Brad Rowe is the object of Mr. Hayes desire.  Matt plays Whitey (but not on LEAVE IT TO BEAVER)

Thank you, Cillaliz and Matt.  Perhaps we can start a 12-step program.

Can we pick a numbered step to reveal first??

Back from a lovelier than lovely dinner at Musso, and I did NOT overeat and was quite a good boy.

I've checked out the transfer of The Nun's Story, and I'm sorry to say the source material isn't so hot.  It's very sharp, but it's obviously from an interneg and not the camera neg, as the grain in the opitcals is outrageous.  Also, the color is off - very brown pasty skin tones - not the way the film looked at all.  I owned an IB Tech print of it and the great cameraman Franz Planer would be turning over in his grave if he saw the color on this DVD.

I guess it would have to be a 26-step program.

My Lord, it's the ATTACK OF THE WUSSBURGERS - no posts in over two hours!  New notes are up, and I'm closing this down and opening up tomorrow's posts.
