Blue moon

You saw me standing alone (In My Dog House!)

Without a dream in my heart

Without a love of my own

Blue moon

You know just what I was there for

You heard me saying a prayer for

Someone I really could care for

And then there suddenly appeared before me

The only one my arms will hold

I heard somebody whisper please adore me

And when I looked to the moon it turned to gold

(Don't I love Your Neighbourhood???!!!)

I aw the first 20 minutes of NARNIA at my friends' house on Friday afternoon. Of course, I actually got glimpses of it while hearing occasionally more information about their breakup, so to say I was distracted while watching is an understatement.

I'll have to find a used copy and try it again here.

I assume the Masters Golf Tournament ran long since COLD CASE was delayed from its 8 p.m. starting time. So, I put CAPOTE back into the player and started watching it all over again. Such an interesting film.

I watched LAW & ORDER: CRIMINAL INTENT in the 9 p.m. hour. Alice Kriege and Julian Sands were the primary guest stars this week, and it was a pretty interesting case.

And then finished my evening's viewing with CROSSING JORDAN. Again, not the most compelling case they were investigating. More interesting was the subplot involving Jordan trying to become a foster parent.

My viewing was somewhat spoiled by the idiots at the local NBC affiliate forgetting to kick over to high definition once the first set of commercials was finished. They will be getting an e-mail from me about that.

Guess I'm off to bed now. Need to try to get more than 6 hours of sleep for a change.

Good night!

Wow! Makes G&S sound so - ummm... well, SILLY!! Good luck! Have a blast, kiddo!

Which is precisely why I love books, theatre and film....it isn't real life. It may mirror or explain things that happen in real life, but it's a world of its own - delightful, silly tragic, scary whatever you want and when it's over, barring something tragic, the audience, the cast and crew go back to their lives, hopefully changed a little, but even if it's REALLY bad, no one goes to jail...well not for the quality of the show anyway ;)

Miss Blue Moon is asleep in her brand new dog house in her brand new run in the back yard.  She is very interested in the neighborhood.

WHat kind of dog is she?

I did finsh BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN early this evening. Wept as before, perhaps a little more quietly this time. It is still a very moving piece of filmmaking.

Sadly I wont get to entertainment movies until after the semester ends in about a month, but I will add it to mylist.

Today, in addition to taxes, I managed to strip my bed, flip my mattress and remake the bed.  I also washed sheets and clothes and pillows and dried all...only just finishing after having started around noon.

There was a lull or two when I forgot what I was doing, like the couple of hours I spend on taxes.

But it feels good knowing I have a freshly turned mattress and clean sheets/pillows to sleep upon!

I don't know whether to now pop another DVD into my player or just watch reruns of CSI....

I could have gone to bed one hour ago, but I'm now alert and wide-eyed.

Oh, well.

Does anyone else think this weekend passed by too quickly?

Where did it all go?

There's so much I still want to do.

Drat!

I'm off now.  Ta-ta till the morrow...
