Post by: bk on February 26, 2016, 04:33:29 PM: Back from storage - got rid of about eight boxes of crap - lots of magazines, old bank stuff from thirty years ago, amazing crap. One thing I found that I kept is all my yearly schedule books - for many years SAG used to have those schedulers, which they'd send you every year. I seem to have them for almost every year through 1985, which is when they stopped them. It's both shocking and amazing how busy I was in the 70s, how many auditions I had - plus I have records of every job I did - since we think AFTRA is a bit low in terms of pension, I can now have them double check what it's based on and give them the other info if they don't have it.

I'm sure you all know those covers - they're amazing. They'll be on the Indiegogo page - I'll post that link again as soon as they're listed.

Well, I did not sell foodstuffs all evening. It turned out that tonight's event was "AN EVENING OF BODYVOX FILMS." It was a free event and there was no intermission. We also had too many volunteers.

After I dropped it off and started to drive away, I realized that I didn't have go back to the WCPA, so I headed home, also realizing that I didn't want to go all the way back downtown in three hours just to pick up my tablet (and the till), so I texted them asking them to keep the money and my tablet for tonight and I would get them tomorrow. That was fine with them.

I said yes. When I got there, they had Emmett in a box and he was struggling and meowing loudly. They tried to calm him as we drove, then he let out a loud cry, and then there was silence. :( I continued to drive as fast as I could, but it was too late. We got to the vet and I said I would wait in the car to give them their privacy.

David came out of one of the rooms and said that they were filling out the paperwork for the cremation. :'( When the paperwork was done, I drove them home. We did chat a bit on the way back and I told them about my cat Ebonie and that she had also died in my car on the way to the vet, which was, coincidentally, the same emergency vet hospital that I was taking my cat to the night she died. It's the only 24-hour vet in the whole area.

He was! I was able to get the money and my tablet and now I'm home after a much too much eventful evening.
