Well, you've read the notes, the notes were stupid, and now it is time for you to post until the stupid cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: CORDATE!
-
To quote TCB, "First post after BK!"
-
And to quote George, "Second post after BK."
-
Good night.
-
Good morning, all!
-
Physical therapy this morning.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Interesting notes on La La Land. I got the feeling of not expecting too much when I read the reviews and they were more about style than substance. I'm still looking forward to seeing it.
-
Wake up vibes for ChasSmith
-
I slept last night, ALL night 😊😊😊
-
Feel good vibes for everyone who needs them!
-
I slept last night, ALL night 😊😊😊
Sounds wonderful. Much warmer in Texas today.
-
Should be in the 70s by Saturday
-
Do any of you readers know the works of Cathie Pelletier? She writes about Maine. Well, her novels generally have a Maine setting.
-
TOD:
I just finished reading Esther Williams' autobiography (THE MILLION DOLLAR MERMAID), which I really enjoyed.
-
Good morning! Must catch up on the posts and notes! Looks like i missed some important stuff.
-
TOD from yesterday:
I'm not sure how I forgot to read yesterday's notes. Anyway, I never see movies in the theater so any movie I see on TV is years and years old. But there are several newer TV shows I like. My new favorite dramas this year are "Designated Survivor" and "Timeless". There were no new good sit-coms for 2016 unfortunately.
-
I am home from physical therapy, which went well.
-
No more STUPID days! Thanks!
-
Good news DR ELMORE!
Crown vibes for DR JOHN G.
I hope DR CHAS SMITH's morning engagement went well.
-
Kay Cole! Looking forward to the CD!
-
DR VIXMOM - sorry your day was so bad......but the things you indicate seem to be the norm now instead of the exception. When just a few people were irritating and self-serving and disrespectful, one could deal with it. When it seems to be the majority, it's difficult to get through the day.
-
DR DRUXY - I think Ms. Williams' book was proven to contain many 'embellishments' and 'prevarications' most of which are obvious.
-
I went to the bank today, but I have postponed the weekly shopping excursion until tomorrow.
-
Good
morning noon, all.
-
Survived the morning engagement ... which I think is all we can ask of ourselves.
-
One engagement this evening, one engagement tomorrow evening, then I'm done with these engagements for the year.
-

I wouldn't know about that. But, it was a good read.
-
DR vixmom, I always suspected you were behind the missing War & Peace set!
-
Tuesday afternoon greetings! I've been to the post office to get a little something on its way to DR Elmore, the doctor's office to pick up papers, and to Kroger. Relaxing at home for a few minutes until it's time to meet Margie for lunch at Java Johnny's.
-
I'm up, I'm up - lots of robo calls this morning, but what else is new? Helper will be here in forty minutes for the Costco run.
-

Currently 53 on the road to Waco. We were shocked to see the speed limit was 80.
-
I am just now able to connect here. We walked on the one street historical section of Bartlett. The stores that were not covered in paper or torn apart were closed. We lost cell service, including our GPS and had to use a map 😁
-
Should be in the 70s by Saturday
I will be hot ;)

My money was on Col. Mustard in the library with a butter knife. But what do I know?
-
TOD:
The first three volumes of Proust
Balzac' Le Cousin Pons and A Harlot High and Low
A few of BK works, especially Kritzer Time and Patrick Bronstein Presents
The One-Way Bridge by Cathie Pelletier
Bobby Short's Saloon Singer (as selective in truth as Esther Williams' autobiography sounds)
-
Topic of the Day (in author order...and not necessarily new books):
Adams, Douglas: Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency (I reread this because of the new TV series...which I've found has absolutely NOTHING to do with the book, at all)
Butcher, Jim: Cursor's Fury and Captain's Fury (CODEX ALERA series), Ghost Story and Cold Days (DRESDEN FILES series)
Kimmel, Bruce: Patrick Bronstein Presents
Lloyd, Braden: False Start and Jake's Fault (A Chapter in My Life, Books 2 and 3) ["Braden Lloyd" is actually the pseudonym of a friend of mine!]
Rowling, J.K.: Harry Potter and the Cursed Child (Parts One and Two)
Wolf, Gary K.: Who Censored Roger Rabbit? and Who P-p-p-plugged Roger Rabbit?
:)

We just had a delightful tour of the Dr Pepper museum in Waco. To Keith's disappointment he did not like any of the shirts in the gift shop. Dr Pepper is his favorite soda pop.
-
I indeed liked MR BK's Patrick Bronstein book........
-
We walked across an old wooden toll bridge on the Chisholm Trail 8)
-
Keith us to put some nice enough photos of our day on facebook if anyone wants to share some of them here.
-
Listening to the master of Kay's CD - sounds great, so off to the pressing plant.
-
Had a pastrami sandwich for the meal o' the day.
-
Did the Costco run.
-
Did some banking and picked up packages. Listening to music. Approved the master, which is on its way to the pressing plant. Will soon see the rest of the packaging.
-
Found a whole box of Subways are for Sleeping - those are now up on Amazon.
-
Page two? Really?
-
We will need to rectify that, oh, yes, we will need to rectify that. Like now, people.
-
Intervention can be a depressing television program
-
There was a lot of stupid in my day too. I will hope tomorrow will be less stupid.
-
We will need to rectify that, oh, yes, we will need to rectify that. Like now, people.
Share some of the photos Keith has been putting on facebook. The Capital building in Austin is beautiful.

This evening we went to a Mexican restaurant for dinner. The guacamole was excellent. I had a spinach enchilada in a soft red pepper tortilla topped with cheese and a creamy cilantro sauce. Once I removed most of the sauce I could taste the flavor of the red pepper tortilla.
-
The waitress raved about the cheesecake on the dessert menu so we tried it. Keith kept saying it was much better than the Cheesecake Factory. It tasted so much like my mother's, and now my, cheesecake I immediately wrote my brother to tell him about it.
I don't make it for just the two of us making this a real treat.
-
Bruce and Jeanne, according to the photos on Facebook you had an incredible sunset tonight.
-
We had a pretty one from our view at dinner.
-
I must have missed the sunset.
-
Ate some cashews and gummy lifesavers and am properly nauseous right now.
-
I must have missed the sunset.
Too bad.
-
I like roasted cashews, not sure about gummy lifesavers, but then I have never tried them.
-
Hello, everyone.
-
Found a whole box of Subways are for Sleeping - those are now up on Amazon.
Could you put one aside for me, please?
-
Did the Costco run.
Was the store packed? The one in Marina del Rey is ALWAYS busy. I can't imagine going there the week before Christmas.

that sounds good. I like cilantro, but not everyone does. Did they offer a different sauce as well?
-
I must have missed the sunset.
As did I.

I made yet another trip to Dollar Tree today. That store really is the place to shop for wrapping paper and such. Everything is so much cheaper. Each time I go there I say, "Oh, they have this?"
-
I'm really enjoying series 3 of BROKENWOOD MYSTERIES. I hope there's a season 4.
-
TTFN.

Sorry.

I used to easily pop into their store in Ashland.

A Dollar Tree just opened up less than a couple of miles from where I work and live. I've been there a few times and have not left without getting at least something. :D

One engagement this evening, one engagement tomorrow evening, then I'm done with these engagements for the year.
All these engagements and no weddings, you're going the right way for a breach of promise suit, me lad
-
DR vixmom, I always suspected you were behind the missing War & Peace set!

-
The day started out so promising
-
We had our secret Santa gift exchange we decided yesterday to order in breakfast so we created the list and decided whomever got in first would call it in
-
I brought in a tablecloth and plates , cups and napkins (love the Dollar store!!) and decorated the conference room
-
Packaging approved. I've been listening to the SACD of the Franck Symphony in D minor and its companion piece, Stravinsky's Petroushka. Sound is really amazing on all these RCA Living Stereo SACDs and this is no exception. This is my second hearing of the Franck and it's already become a favorite. And this performance of Petroushka is very wonderful.
-
I also brought in some lovely Tom Smith Christmas crackers I bought at BJ's
-
And I called in breakfast
-
By time everyone else arrived everything was set and breakfast arrived a few minutes after 9
-
I insisted that before anyone could eat we must all snap our crackers and put on our paper crowns
-
Then while we ate we took turns reading the riddles in the crackers and showing off our. prizes ( I got a pen !)
-
Then we gave out our secret Santa gifts
-
I got a $25 gift card to Applebee's
-
We had a great time and then the phones started and it all went downhill from there
-
But I got out of the office by 8...,
-
Earliest I left in ages
-
Tomorrow I must be out by 6 because I have a dentist appointment....I am to be fitted for my implant crowns ....

BACK.
-
Long tiring day.
-
And now, I'm leaving work. I just dilly-dallied a bit too long and should've left a half hour ago, but now I am. I'm going to Trader Joe's, so I must be off. They close at 9:00.
Until later.
-
Great sushi meal (gratis) at the best jernt in Norwalk, though. That was nice.
-
Now I'm munching on some kind of supposedly "gourmet" cheese-y popcorn and sipping an Old Grandad.
See what we have when I'm buying? :)
-
BACK.
FRONT
-
OK, now I'll do one...
-
UP!
-
Um....
-
I brought in a tablecloth and plates , cups and napkins (love the Dollar store!!) and decorated the conference room
Festive :)
-
I also brought in some lovely Tom Smith Christmas crackers I bought at BJ's
Funny, I looked this up expecting to see Christmas shaped crackers you eat. Is there something special about these vs other Christmas crackers? I purchased Christmas crackers every year we celebrated with Bryan and his wife because these are a family tradition for her. Before then I had never seen them.

GOOD VIBES!

I am still full from dinner.

I am going good to read for a bit and try to sleep.

They are a nice quality cracker, well made and pretty and the. Gifts are a little nicer rather than plastic things they had pens, key rings, bottle opener, corkscrew ...
-
Um....
We arent playing that word association game?
-
I hope TCBs back is better today

Thanks. It is good to know if I buy them again.

Amen.

I like Dollar Tree, too.

Dental vibes for Vixmom.
-
I love my dentist. He had said this morning's crown work would only take about 90 minutes. It took three hours and he sat patiently and did his work. I've no problems with the temporary crown. When I left, his receptionist wouldn't take the 60% of the price that the work is expected to cost. She only took half of that.
-
After work, I met a couple of friends for happy hour at a barbecue joint. Had an interesting variation on an old fashioned made with smoked ice. I liked it, but I liked the margarita more.
-
Then I went to a party with most of the friends I had dinner with on Thanksgiving Eve. I used to see them more often than I have been able to lately. It was nice catching up with them.
-
I hope TCBs back is better today
I do, too.
-
Let's get a move on here.
-
One post more.
-
Five!
-
Good night, all.
-
What is smoked ice?
-
where is our TCB?
-
Good evening!
-
I am sorry I missed Vixmom.
-
And I am sorry I missed John.
-
What is with these East Coast people going to bed before one in the morning?
-
My typing (i.e. spelling) is terrible tonight.
-
I spent about three hours on the book today, but actually only got through a chapter.
-
The story took another unusual turn today.
-
I had no idea it was going where it went.
-
I seem to be the last person who knows where this book is going.
-
But it was a lot of fun working on it.
-
It allowed me to bring back a character that I felt I had short-changed earlier in the book.
-
I still plan to flesh out the earlier section, but it was nice to have him back in the story.
-
The back is not much better tonight.
-
I have to make a big decision tomorrow.
-
Either I baby my back another day, or I go Christmas shopping.
-
I am running out of days.
-
Of course, for years I did all my shopping on Christmas Eve morning.
-
I would arrive at the Mall at seven o'clock in the morning, eat breakfast, get into the stores by eight, and I would be on my way home by 11:00 a.m.
-
Of course, that meant all the wrapping had to be done on Christmas Eve night.
-
Finished with my viewing. An absolutely wonderful movie that I'm afraid I'm going to have to rant about in the notes, since it was a flop and since all the cynical creeps who see movies, the hipsters, the know-it-alls, went out of their way to dump on it, all the while turning Captain America: The Civil War and the other Marvel crap into huge hits. This is the word we live in. This is why art, or the lack thereof, is where it is.
-
I will go to the Old Actors Lunch tomorrow. I can stop next door and get my sister a Harbor Lights' gift card.
-
One more gift down.
-
Has anyone ever heard of a weighted blanket?
-
My niece put that on her list, but I have no idea what it might be.
-
I asked my sister and she didn't know either.
-
One more post.

Greetings, 1 Guest!

Make that 2 Guests.

I hope TCBs back is better today
I do, too.
Ditto, two!!

Hi, Tom.

Hmmm...can't wait to find out what this movie is.
-
Hello, George.
-
I will go to the Old Actors Lunch tomorrow. I can stop next door and get my sister a Harbor Lights' gift card.
Before going to Trader Joe's tonight, I went to the Barnes & Noble that's right next door and got my dad his obligatory gift card.
-
It's something that he always wants for his birthday, Father's Day, and Christmas...which makes it very easy to shop for him.
;)

I always read stories or hear on the news that gift cards are a terrible gift, and that they are never used. But Everyone on my list wants at least one gift card.

My dad would NEVER let a B&N gift card go unused.
