I was reading about cat stress last night. I think Annabelle's clingy neediness may be a result of her being stressed out by the noise from the elevator work. When I came back from emptying the litter, she escaped and ran up to the fourth floor. She must smell the lesbian couple's dog.
Been on the phone with IT for 30 minutes already. They don’t get it.

Does she like the dog?
Lots of ME on this page.
DR ELMORE did you check the GoodRx site?
And I would add to those:
Saturday Night is the Loneliest Night of the Week
Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy
My Shining Hour
I'll Be Seeing You
Lavender Blue
It's Been a Long Long Time
South America, Take It Away
Taking A Chance on Love
Thatch and I have returned from the vet and we've learned the results of his his echocardiogram: a problem with the muscle controlling the left ventricle of his heart, which is already too thick and will continue to affect his blood flow. He will be on a daily medication for the remainder of his life to slow the heart rate to slow down the muscle's thickening, eventually closing down the ventricle.
I have no idea what this means for his mortality or its longevity, but a part of me died today. I will love him, care for him, and pray to God that he has a long and healthy life.
TOD
Artie Shaw’s Begin the Beguine
Benny Goodman’s Sing, Sing, Sing
Glenn Miller’s In the Mood
Any version of Leader of a Big-Time Band
Andrews Sisters’ Beat Me, Daddy, Eight to the Bar
My mother was always singing the 1940s novelty songs like the "Three Little Fishies" and "Mairzy Doats."
DR elmore I am sorry the results of the test were not better. Best Wishes he likes the medication and does well on it.
The babies and birds are fed. Thatch has taken over the Amazon carton and Annabelle's waiting for the birds to arrive. I need to make the bed, tidy up, and take care of the litter before I bundle Thatch up for the vet and then head to City Center. I also need to call my 96 year-old friend Bob and check on him before I head out.
Woke up bright and early to report for duty. For some reason, though, I can’t log on to work.

How does one bundle up a cat?

Vibes for THATCH!!!
DR ELMORE I didn't mean to be a mensch, I thought perhaps you didn't see my post.....
Thatch has the two most important ingredients for a long and happy life -- his loving daddy and his wonderful feline companion.
I just bought three boxes of Sambucol. Apparently all my cheerleading has caused a shortage in LA - unbelievable. Literally no stores have it save for a Vitamin Shoppe I found. And it's out of stock everywhere online - Amazon has two sellers currently selling it - at seventy dollars a box. Needless to say, both received scathing notes from me.

Catch him and get him into the pet carrier!

Thanks, Me, too. He will go back for another echocardiogram in six months to see how the drug is working out. I see this as a regular 6-month event from now on. It's on the calendar.

You weren't in the least. Being a mensch is a great thing to be, and you are a true mensch, as are so many of our DRs. I appreciated the reminder, but I suspect you meant you were afraid of being a kvetch.
There are few songs of this era I don't like.
Favorites are:
The White Cliffs of Dover
A Nightingale Sang in Barclay Square
Long Ago and Far Away
I'll Get By
When the Lights Go On All Over the World
Long Ago and Far Away
It's Been a Long Long Time
I'm Beginning to See the Light
I'll Be Seeing You
Coming in on a Wing and a Prayer
Sorry to have been E &T I've been sitting by the mailbox waiting for BJ's new book to arrive
Started watching Gimme Shelter. Turns out J.B. is a phenomenal Rolling Stones fan. He really danced like crazy through both Jumping Jack Flash and Satisfaction.
I survived my first day back to work.

Who's BJ? A new DR?
I feel very good, Jeanne. Thanks for asking.

Who's BJ? A new DR?
It's a dyslexic version of J.B. The bird does have a new book out, but I didn't know Vixmom had ordered a copy. It's called Mick and Me. It's his impressions of his time with the Stones.
Several of my favorite TV shows have ended. Anyone have any recommendations for something not too violent (CRIMINAL MINDS is too violent and too dark for me these days)?

WOW! You don't like those songs?
Those are some of my all time favorites.
My late friend and client, Sammy Fain, wrote "I'll Be Seeing You".
