Well, you've read the notes, the notes prayed for respite and launched a campaign, and now it is time for you to post until the launched cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: TITTUP!
-
See what I'm sayin'?
-
Good early morning to all
-
Continued vibes to all that need them.

TOD
Marsha Mason:
Max Dugan Returns
Chapter Two (Which would also make it on James Caan's list)
-
TOD
The last film I saw James Caan in was 22 years ago, Eraser, and it really was an Arnold Schwarzenegger movie.
Kiss Me Goodbye
Funny Lady
I like his comedies.

Early Monday....
-
Today is a shopping day.....
Set is built and painted....so we get to rehearse there starting today!
We pulled costumes yesterday as well most of which will work, I hope.
One actor who is a pain and an irritant...there's always the ONE.....
-
And he's not even a good actor.....oh well....
-
Good morning, all!

TOD:

T.O.D.
With the exception of THE GODFATHER and CINDERELLA LIBERTY, I've never been much of a James Caan fan.
On the other hand, I've always liked Marsha Mason:
CINDERELLA LIBERTY
THE GOODBYE GIRL
CHAPTER TWO
MAX DUGAN RETURNS
THE CHEAP DETECTIVE (Watched that again about a month ago.)

All the files and smoke is very sad. I am grateful not to be dealing with it.
-
The air quality in L A in the 70's was the main reason I wanted to leave. I still recall the pain as all the crap in my lungs cleared out after we moved.
-
We are sitting in the lounge at the back of the ship watching the icebergs as we pass them 8)
-
Good morning, all.
-
In case no one has noticed yet ... it’s Monday.
-
I need to work on a couple of musical matters today.
Right now I’d just like it if I could fall back to sleep for a short nap, since I had a short night’s sleep.
-
I just read that incoming flights were delayed at Sea-Tac due to the smoke.
-
The smoke we are missing is not that bad, at least for now.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Is there an indiegogo link yet?
-
I'm up, I'm up - as soon as my eyes focus I'll get the link and go live.
-
And we're live. We can DO this: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/a-carol-christmas-a-new-musical-needs-your-help/x/9165600#/

Who will be first?
-
Holy moley on rye - someone took one of the big perks and we're at 27% of our goal - I think we got that high pretty quickly on Levi but in three days, not thirty minutes.
-
Best of luck with the rest of the campaign, BK.

Page one?

Let’s move on...

Two!

Page two?
-
We just hit 30%. That's amazing for two hours - in fact, it took Levi three days to do it. Puuuuuuush. Wouldn't it be fun if we just reached the goal today :)
-
Hello, everyone.
-
wow! I’m really impressed! What a great start!
-
And Singdaw contributed, too.
-
Much to do today. WBBL.

Here at work, we have Windows 7 NT and the link above doesn't work in Internet Explorer. We have the option to use the Chrome browser and that works without any trouble. I wonder why IE doesn't work at all for Indiegogo. :-\

After a lovely walk around the the beautiful town of Uummannnaq we are in the bar enjoying drinks and Keith his cigar.
-
DR John the Old Fashioned is decent but made with raw sugar ;D
-
It is also made with Makers Mark which I didn't think I like. I asked for a sip to taste it and found that I do like it.
DR John what is your opinion of Makers Mark vs Woodford Reserve?
-
In spite of the raw sugar the drink is good because of a heavy dose of Makers Mark.
-
Bruce I know how you feel about drinking but I must admit, combined with far more than a taste of the bourbon plus the drink and little food, combined with my low tolerance, I am a bit too high ;D

Woodford is better, but Makers has a good flavor despite a shaky reputation.
-
Thanks. I didn't think I liked it but that is the best I can usually find on ships. I decided today I do like it but can't do a side by side comparison.
-

Which is good from a Makers’ perspective.
-
I have more Woodford than anything because of presents, but I also like Angels Envy and a Texas brand called Garrison Brothers
-
I do better with straight liqueur than with drinks mixed with sugar so, from now on I will probably alternate between Makers Mark and Glenlevit. Keith switched from his rye Manhatton to a Martini since they don't have rye. Last night we both had Manhattans with Crown Royal which the ships seem to think is a rye.
-
And mostly whatever anybody’s pouring

I have not tried either of those.

Crown Royal is sweet, too sweet for me.
-
DR George when are you going to "earn" your key chains and share some of the beautiful photos from our trip? ;)

It is ok in a Manhatton, better than plain bourbon. I grew up with it, well sneaking from the bar in our house, and liked it until I discovered Glenlevit and better bourbon.
-
Thank G...d I was careful, with Keith's help, not to become an alcoholics like my mother, as I do love the taste. My sister had to completely stop drinking.

Back from a Chinese chicken salad, a bagel, and then picking up some packages. We're at 34% - let's fund today! :)

Today we walked through Santa's post office.

Just got back from Boston a little while ago. When I heard "Moulin Rouge" was not coming to Broadway until summer 2019, I got me to the bus station (only two blocks away) and went.
-
It was fun spending some time in Boston for the first time in 24 years. (I'd taken the train to Boston on the way to a family gathering in Belmont at one point, but went right from the station then.).
-
Interestingly, the stage door of the Colonial Theatre is steps away from what used to be called the "Combat Zone," Boston's Red Light district, which has been cleansed up as well as the old 42nd Street (preserved in films like "Taxi Driver") in Manhattan has been.
-
Good evening!
-
That was an interesting dream you had the other night, BK!
-
Congrats on the strong start to the Indiegogo campaign, BK!
-
Nice photos, DR Jane!

And I hay-elped!

I'm now listening to Advise and Consent (http://www.kritzerland.com/advise.htm). It's very enjoyable.

Monday evening greetings from HOME! We added more than an hour to our trip with a stop in Lima to visit with our former parishioners, then drove into torrential rain that forced us onto back roads to get out of the interstate back-ups. We’ve unpacked and had pizza for dinner and I’m trying to stay awake to watch ELEMENTARY.
-
And now for something completely different for no reason at all...a new avatar! :D
<--------
-
I took this at the theater where Legally Blonde played.
-
I also sent in the uncropped version to the HR department for my 30 year recognition picture.
-
It's a little dark, but I'm wearing the glasses that I've had for more than a year, so that makes it more current.
-
And now, since we're so close...
-
four!!!!
-
Nice photos, DR Jane!
Thanks.
-
George, thanks for posting the photos.
-
Today we also visited Santa's post office.
-
And now for something completely different for no reason at all...a new avatar! :D
<--------
It is a very nice new avatar.
-
We have passed a number of large icebergs today. What we don't know is how large they are below the water. Thinking about this we are curious how large the iceberg, above and below, that the ship my great grand uncle was captain of ran into.
DR TCB do you know the answer?
-
I need to turn the WiFi off for the night.
-
'night
-
George, thanks for posting the photos.
You're welcome!

Thanks, Jane!
-
100!!
-
And now, I'm off. I need to get some things at Costco, then go to the west side of Olympia for some other things, then come home and do some laundry!
Be back later!
-
Nice avatar, George.
-
Great pix, Jane.
-
Watching a very odd musical called The Best Things in Life Are Free. Ernest Borgnine sings!
-
It’s billed as John O’Hara’s “Flaming Portrait of the Jazz Age.” But it’s about DeSylva, Brown and Henderson.
-
I knew Sheree North mostly from Mary Tyler Moore as Ed Asner’s inamorata. Or as the floozy from I Can Get It for You Wholesale.
Here she’s front and center. She dances up a storm and sings well, but she’s too quirky to be a big star. Her eyes never seem quite open. Her voice lacks the husky quality that made her so wonderful in character parts later in her career.
-
Interesting photos, Jane. Are you able to pronounce the place names?
-
Some friends of mine just returned from an Arctic cruise about a week ago. They want to return as independent travelers.
-
I've been watching an Australian series, MYSTERY ROAD, starring Judy Davis. It's quite good, but gets rather dark at times. She's quite good in it, too.
-
Really glad to see such a fine start to the Indiegogo campaign.
-
Vibes to all.
Good night.
-
Good evening.

I am not sure I understand the question. Are you saying your great grand unle was Captain EJ Smith of the RMS Titanic?
-
In that case, they were never certain which iceberg sank the ship.
-
There was one iceberg that had scrapes of paint on the side, but there was a lot of argument about whether it was the correct berg.
-
Normally, they say that 20% to 35% of an iceberg is above the surface.
-
One more post.

The smoke was extremely bad today.
-
It is expected to be even worse tomorrow.
-
In addition, we are now getting a layer of ash falling outside.
-
Back from judging the singing contest. Very interesting, which I'll talk about in the notes, which will be up a bit later than usual.
-
44% - that is an amazing first day and the first day doesn't actually end until nine tomorrow morning. What a launch, but we can't slack so share away. Thanks to all who've come in. The majority of the dough today (outside of the big-boy $2500 perk) were for cast albums and tickets.
-
The smoke was so bad you could actually see it on TV at the Seattle Mariners game tonight.
-
Most of the little league and soccer practices were cancelled today because of the health hazard from the smoke.
-
Wednesday night the winds are expected to shift and that will (hopefully) clean away all of the smoke and the ash.
-
Jane, where does your ship sail to after you leave Greenland?
-
I am trying to decide whether or not I want to take one more cruise befor they put me out to pasture.
-
BK, congratulations on the early success of your go fund me campaign. I hope it continues to build.
-
Continued career vibes for vixmom!!
-
I am trying to decide whether I want to go see COME FROM AWAY at the 5th Avenue in October. This production is the starting place for the national tour
-
I missed the pre-Broadway production here in Seattle.
-
Good night!
-
Nice avatar, George.
Thanks, John!
-
Nice new avatar, George.
Thanks, Tom!

Well, I didn't do laundry tonight.
-
There's always tomorrow, though.
-
Right now, I'm watching Bette Midler on my DVR that I recorded from TCM on January 2, 2016!
-
Yes, it's been on my DVR for that long.
-
The oldest program on this DVR (I have two) is the filmed live production of The Rocky Horror Show that was shown in theaters around the world, and on BBC America (which is where I recorded it) on October 17, 2015.
-
Actually, that's not the oldest.
-
I realize that I still have the Live from Lincoln Center semi-staged concert version of Show Boat that was broadcast on PBS on October 16, 2015...one day earlier.
-
I also have the Angela Lansbury/George Hearn version of Sweeney Todd that was on TCM.
-
There were recorded in hi-def.
-
Sweeney Todd has never been released on Blu-ray, and the TCM broadcast is 1920x1080, so it's true hi-def.
-
The plan is to learn how to record them to my computer (my sister's boyfriend told me which program to get to be able to do this) so that I can eventually make my own Blu-ray discs!
-

And here's a picture of me with my sister and our dad on Sunday, celebrating his 80th birthday (which was actually Monday...which is now yesterday because it's after midnight):
-
The picture was taken on my parents' covered back deck.
-
Bette Midler's Divine Madness just ended. I had forgotten that Robert Osbourne did the intro and outro. It's been on my DVR for that long!
-
Love your new avatar, George! You actually look younger than in the other picture!
-
What's really cool about this broadcast and the couple of reasons that I really want to make a Blu-ray of this is that it's never been released on Blu-ray, and this is theatrical release, not just the DVD version, which cut two songs! This broadcast has those two songs!
-
If I remember correctly, what's interesting is that the recording (vinyl album and CD) was a lot shorter and included a song not in either video version! Neither the theatrical release nor the home videocassette/DVD! That's just weird.
-
Love your new avatar, George! You actually look younger than in the other picture!
Thanks, Jan! I think my previous picture was at least three years old!
-
Maybe, just a couple of years old, but I've been using it for a while.
