Well, you've read the notes, the notes were notes, actually, and now it is time for you to post until the actual cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: PUNCTILIO!
-
First post after BK.
-
Nice photos and some great quotes.
-
Good night.
-
Good night, Tom.
-
Nice photos and some great quotes.
Agreed! And that's a great set, too!
-
Off to bed.
Have a good day, all
-
Good morning, all!
-
I slept rather well. I do need to send my doctor a request for more Tramadol.
-
I have nothing on my calendar today, so I'm hoping I can finish up my orchestration. I'm about halfway through it.
-
Jerry Herman has died. I only met him once, when the New York City Gay Men's Chorus did a Jerry Herman concert. He was very kind and charming.
-
T.O.D.
I've seen ONCE UPON A TIME IN...HOLLYWOOD and JUDY.
Is there any other 2019 film out on DVD yet that's worth seeing?

Sad news.
I have a vague memory of having met him once, also.
Trying to remember where & when.
Probably at a party...
-
My step-son (from marriage #1) comes into town this evening.
Will have lunch with him tomorrow.
I haven't seen him in 10 (?) years.
He's talking about moving to Austin.
-
The actor who did the audio recording of my Spencer Tracy play is visiting in San Antonio for several days, which is a one-hour drive from my home.
Maybe we'll get together.
We've never met face-to-face.
-
I just did something stupid. Several weeks ago in cleaning the litter, I pulled something in my back, and Gurjeet worked it out. Since then, I adopted a new cleaning method so that it would not happen again.
Until today.
-
I had a flimsy bag to dump the dirty litter, so I went back to my old sitting-on-the-toilet-lid to finish, pulled my back again, and I cannot stand upright. The pain is very high, and I may have to make an ER trip. I'll lie down on a heating pad and see if that helps.
-
Annabelle knew something was wrong as soon as it happened. It may have been my look of pain and fear - I'll never know - but she suddenly was all over me, wanting to be held and purring up a storm.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Sad news about Jerry Herman. He once answered an email from me. And I treasure my autographed copy of The Grand Tour CD, which may be my favorite of his scores. Certainly, Marianne is one of my favorites of his songs.
-
Here’s a listen to Marianne in Barbara Cook’s Georgia accent and creamy voice.

TCB your pumpkin dessert sounds good. I laughed at your dirty knife joke.
-
Good morning, all.

Beautiful pictures in the notes!
Indeed.

Tonight we’re getting video-recorded (thank you, DR John G.), and I actually (thank you, BK) have to go up to the theater twice today. They bought a new Kurzweil stage piano to replace the old broken down Kurzweil that served them well as the house keyboard for over thirteen years. It just got delivered, and barring any complications, I shall christen it by playing it in our final two performances this weekend. Nothing fancy required, no synth work or anything in this show, just piano playing.
I’ll go up around noon and unbox it (ooh, I should make an unboxing video!), set it in place of the one I’m using now, guesstimate a volume level and make sure its basic functions are solid, and go back home till showtime.
-
Right now I seem to be stuck in this recliner.
-
Lovely MAN photos and quotes in the notes - totes!

Page Two.

I put a couple of bills out in the mailbox to be taken....but at 8:15 a.m. the Mail Truck was parked across the street.
There was not mail in the box - so I don't know if I missed it or not...if the letters are still there at noon, I will try again tomorrow.
Regular mail delivery is usually about 10:45 a.m.
-
Anyone can whistle, that’s what they say.
Well, the tea kettle in this time share can’t.

Back vibes for DR ELMORE.

Friday morning greetings! Richard and I have cleaned up our kitchen, handwashing the breakables and pots & pans that were used for Christmas dinner. I am now at my desk for the first time in ages, paying bills and catching up on correspondence.
-
Sad to hear about Jerry Herman - but we still have his glorious songs.
-
Ah, Jerry Herman - such a long life and a fabulous legacy.

I think you are going to enjoy your extra trip to the theater. Have fun :)

Back vibes for DR ELMORE.
Thanks! I made an appointment for therapy on Monday morning, and I've taken all the pain meds and muscle relaxers I could lay my hands on. At the moment I can stand upright again but the throbbing in my left leg is unbearable.
-
Some progress already, at least while on the pain meds. Whatever you do, don't miss that PT appointment.

Oh, no! :'(
-
Back — with new keyboard in place.
-
I had been watching a Jerry Herman autograph on eBay for a couple of years, but hadn't bought it. I just checked and it was still available, so I went ahead and finally bought it. It's his autograph on a First Day Issue of a T. S. Eliot stamp:

Keith rented Ad Astra from Red Box today. Actually, it was free which will be good if he is disappointed.
-
I'm up, I'm up - I think I may have gotten nine hours of sleep overall, but it really took a long time to fall asleep. I was actually in bed by two last night.
-
Sorry to hear about Jerry, but a nice and very long life, and he was able to dodge the grim reaper for a very long time.
-
Be sure to find out where the camera is tonight DR CHAS SMITH.

Birdy Barnum says it's dark - time to go to bed....he is not happy that I am still on the computer.....
-
After the hellish hours between 8:00 and 11:00 this morning, it hasn't been that bad a day.
-
Good.

Hello
-
Vixdad is still poorly
-
He is not sleeping through the night
-
So neither am I
-
I shall now be on my way to sup and then to the theater.
-
Three!
-
Nice stamp/autograph, George.
-
Nice stamp/autograph, George.
Thanks, John! I'm surprised that the price didn't go up (or down) for as long as it's been listed. And I'm glad it didn't shoot up right after he died. I guess if it was going to happen, I probably got it before the seller realized that he died.
-
Vixdad is still poorly
I am sorry. Does he have a cold, flu, or something else?
-
So neither am I
Of course not.
-
Nice stamp/autograph, George.
I probably got it before the seller realized that he died.
That is what I was thinking.

Sleeping vibes to Vixmom & Vixdad.
-
Hello, everyone.
-
Pain-begone vibes to Elmore.
-
Sleep vibes to Vixdad, Vixmom, and anyone else who needs them. (that includes you, Jane.)
-
Very busy day here. I slept well--yay!--and woke up with LOTS of motivation. I'm usually a motivated person, but the last couple months I just haven't had it. There's lots here that needs to be done--and I want it done--but just haven't felt like doing it. Well, today that all changed. I did laundry and began cleaning up my mini home office (AKA the dinette area). God, what a mess! So cluttered! It was at the where-do-I-even-begin? stage. I had an idea for a better way to store things and it worked out really well. There's more to do, but I made a big dent in it and am very pleased.
-
Traffic has been much lighter the last two days. So much better! This is the time to get ALL those errands done! (I did two.)
-
Continued drive vibes, Jeanne.
-
I always enjoy the days between Christmas and the early part of January, when the normal hustle returns. This is the time to RELAX and slow down. Not that I did so today. But I did it because I wanted to.
-
Continued drive vibes, Jeanne.
Thank you, John G. How's your family doing?

The local PBS station has a fascinating program on quilting

Thank you, John G. How's your family doing?
Dad doesn’t have the strength to speak any more, but Mom says he holds her hand through the day and the hold is strong.

That's sweet. I'm sure it means a lot to your mother.

Is he at hospice or is that still to be resolved?
-
TTFN.
-
Is he at hospice or is that still to be resolved?
He is in a form of palliative care. I don’t know the exact nomenclature.

Don Imus has died. I don’t know that I ever heard him.

Even if it is free, he might be disappointed. ::)

;D I tried to warn him.
-
Yes, he was disappointed.
-
It was more interesting than I expected it to be.
-
Speaking of disappointing movies......Bryan & Kate didn't hate the new Star Wars film. They did find it disappointing the series didn't end better.
-
Page FOUR??? Really?
-
Back from a great dinner and an excellent performance with a good audience, just about full. Sami and her mom enjoyed the show.
-
Good evening.
-
Oh, please! Not again.
-
I’m getting too old for this.
-
Page 4? Humbug!
-
I have done nothing for the last two days.
-
I have only left the house to pick up the mail.
-
Sleep has been very hard to come by for me, as well.

Nicky’s late night crying and wailing has been very hard on me.

George, are you going to jump in here?
-
Hi, Tom.
-
We have got just 15 minutes till midnight.
-
I went to Jersey Mike's for dinner.

Hi, George.
-
I had their Chipotle Chicken Cheese Steak (https://www.jerseymikes.com/menu/hot-subs/42-chipotle-chicken-cheese-steak).
-
I thought it needed a little more mayo, but it was still pretty good...messy, but good.
-
UNDERPANTS!
-
I fell asleep for a while this evening
-
I went to Jersey Mike's for dinner.
They have the best tuna sandwich I have ever tasted.

They just opened a Jersey Mike’s down the block from our house

So yesterday at work, we in the Acquisitions Department finished paying all the invoices for the year.

I like it, but it's not too close, so I don't go during my lunch time during work.
-
Of course, you have to like tuna first.
True...very true.
-
I don't like tuna, but I'm glad that you do, Tom. ;D
