Tonight we’re getting video-recorded (thank you, DR John G.), and I actually (thank you, BK) have to go up to the theater twice today. They bought a new Kurzweil stage piano to replace the old broken down Kurzweil that served them well as the house keyboard for over thirteen years. It just got delivered, and barring any complications, I shall christen it by playing it in our final two performances this weekend. Nothing fancy required, no synth work or anything in this show, just piano playing. I’ll go up around noon and unbox it (ooh, I should make an unboxing video!), set it in place of the one I’m using now, guesstimate a volume level and make sure its basic functions are solid, and go back home till showtime.
Back vibes for DR ELMORE.
Jerry Herman has died. I only met him once, when the New York City Gay Men's Chorus did a Jerry Herman concert. He was very kind and charming.
I just did something stupid. Several weeks ago in cleaning the litter, I pulled something in my back, and Gurjeet worked it out. Since then, I adopted a new cleaning method so that it would not happen again. Until today.
Some progress already, at least while on the pain meds. Whatever you do, don't miss that PT appointment.
I had been watching a Jerry Herman autograph on eBay for a couple of years, but hadn't bought it. I just checked and it was still available, so I went ahead and finally bought it. It's his autograph on a First Day Issue of a T. S. Eliot stamp:
