I have been having stomach pains all last evening.

Oh, no! I hope you feel better quickly!
Physical therapy this morning. I hope it goes well.
I am quite concerned over a couple of charges against me in an email I received this morning because it affects a friendship I would hate to lose.
DR JANE I will make the sacrifice and eat the chocolate that you are giving up......
Congrats on the reading DR MICHAEL.
Vibes for DR ELMORE.....misunderstandings usually involve a jealous third person.....you know.....

Therapy was interesting. Gurjeet thinks that pull on my back last Friday released some nerve in my back being pinched by one of the crushed discs in my lower spine. So, even with a hip replacement, I must still deal with back issues.
If I were a horse, I would now be several cans of Alpo.

I wish i had some chocolate!
Congrats on the reading DR MICHAEL.
Ditto.

I’ve been under the weather for the last few weeks. Decided to take a break from Facebook by temporarily closing my account and will also do the same with my Twitter and my Instagram accounts. Just too depressing with the hateful political postings on both sides and all the antisemitism

Have you basically given it up because of your diabetes or can you eat it in small doses?
Thank you, all, for the condolences, prayers, hugs and love. Very greatly appreciated.

I will, too.

I have given nothing up because of diabetes, and my doctor seems happy with the quarterly test results. I also suspect the weight I lost is a help as well. I just don't have any chocolate handy.
T.O.D.
Good health...and a little wealth wouldn't be bad either.
Last night surprisingly a very good night for these days. I was up only once, around 1:30, and that never happens.

:( Vibes you work it out.
When I came out of therapy, there was a young man walking a beautiful bulldog. We talked about the dog, which was a rescue from the Manhattan shelter. When I got home, I checked today's dogs up for adoption. I love this little Pug named Oscar.

What changed after your bouts in the hospital? Are you on medication?
Good morning HHWers. Yes it was a wonderful weekend for The Man Who Came to Dinner.
Friday night backstage Barry Pearl had dared me to put something unexpected in his cream puff. I fleetingly entertained thoughts of horseradish or Mexican hot sauce :P but spared him. Instead, I ground up an Altoid mint into powder... which looked rather dubious....and sprinkled a bit on the croissant before filling it up with whipped cream. :D :D Sunday matinee featured a 1/4 teaspoon of Grand Marnier :)
Hope everyone has a good week and advance happy new year wishes to all!

What hospital bouts? Do you mean the two ER trips in around Labor Day in 2008 for insulin? I've been on meds since then.
I lay down on the heating pad for about two hours. I may have dozed, but I didn't really sleep. Stella curled up beside me and slept quite soundly.

Right. They were kind of scary. I thought you were eating a special diet since then.
Just made it to Atlanta.
The day continues to be interesting and rewarding. More in a bit. I must think about some dinner.
I’m hoping the new year will see more readings and perhaps a full production of the play I’ve been working on for the past year. There will be a reading at a regional theater in Boca Raton in May

I think in this case it's more of my being in the middle and wishing not to be. I'm hopimg we're okay because I like this friend very much.
The TOD is an easy one for me. I hope for a healthy, beautiful granddaughter and a safe easy delivery for our daughter in-law.
Then to stay healthy & not break anything so I can enjoy this perfect granddaughter :)
It may lead to more work. Who knows?

DR Jane, this will work for me, too, except Rob and Mary Linda are choosing not to know their baby’s gender. And I have to add a wish for them to have a smooth move to Chicagoland.
On Christmas day Keith's uncle turned 92. Within 2 days he was in the hospital with the flu and now has pneumonia. He is doing better. Fingers crossed he can go home tomorrow.
The new MD, Gavin Thrasher, called me. He wanted to program an arrangement of "Over the Rainbow" that I had written - and completely forgotten! - in 1998. Well, during the Chorus years I was grinding out arrangement for all occasions and concerts so I'm not completely surprised I had forgotten it. So, we had a pleasant conversation and made plans to have lunch in the New Year.
He sent me a pdf of my arrangement, which the Chorus wants to sing in its March 2020 concert. It's much better than I thought. And that was my afternoon. The Chorus celebrates its 40th anniversary this year, so I suspect more forgotten tems will be showing up.

Though my pre-diabetes is not what is currently making me sick. I had reduced my chocolate due to it, which was a good idea while I slowly reduced my other medication that allowed me to eat chocolate without getting sick.

Vibes for a quick recovery!
Getting ready for bed. The funeral is set for Saturday. I’m going to try to return home Monday.

What does your doctor consider OK?
Then it was 6.7 last month, which sounds like a big change for the worse. But the finger-sticky sugar number was great he said.
Hugs John...we found looking through photos for Dads memorial gave us a chance to tell stories about him and celebrate his life
Time to head home where I'm going to watch The Creature Wasn't Nice. :)
Until later.
My doctor told me as long as I can keep my A1C under 7.0, he wouldn't worry.
That's fine that he wouldn't worry, but when can I worry?
He wanted me to try Metformin because when I was in the hospital in June, it had zoomed up to 7-point-something the day if the operation.
Do you work tomorrow, George?
I guess I needed it, but I hope I can still sleep tonight.
Final notes of 2019 are written.
