Well, you've read the notes, the notes were run-through, and now it is time for you to post until the run through cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: GREE!
-
First post after BK.
-
Today, my sister wants me to come over and swap out one of her kitchen light fixtures and help with a couple of fence posts. After that, I'm going to my parents' for a while, then I'll come home and work on the pre-show and intermission music. I just have to get a couple of specific musical pieces that the director wants, and then I can put it all in the computer on Monday.
-
And now, I'm off to bed.
Have a good day, all!
-
Good morning, all!
-
Well, I have a cold and I am not happy about it.
-
Stella has been a fireball of homewrecking these past couple of days. Around 5:00 this morning, her climbing brought down another stack of books, and just now she knocked an allergen screen onto the floor. It was my fault it was there. I had closed the window and set it aside, but that was over two weeks ago.
-
On a positive note, they all ate their chicken hearts and liver this morning. The last time I tried it, they all rebelled and would not go near it. I guess the time to serve it is breakfast while they are all starving.
-
DR Laura, no FIDDLER report last night? Did you see Michael?
-
Good morning.
-
Yes, we saw Fiddler and met Michael. He's very nice. The show was great.
-
I think Fiddler on the Roof has the best opening number, by the way.

Elmore, Magdalena is also a terror. She flies up and down the stairs, and sometimes I don't even see her go by me.
-
Leonard still runs around like a devil is chasing him, but he has never broken anything.
-
.
That's quite a nice photo!
-
I'm happy you had a good time. What kind of cookies did you bake?
-
Leonard still runs around like a devil is chasing him, but he has never broken anything.
That's the same with my little boy Thatch. Until he came to live with us, Annabelle was a constant threat to everyone's safety.

They were sugar cookies that looked like saguaro cacti.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Great photo, Laura.
-
Good morning from Ft. Lauderdale - Hollywood International Airport!
-
Nice photo, DR Laura!
-
Feel better vibes for DR elmore!
-
Whew! I am glad ALL errant hats are now back on the proper heads.
-
Rehearsal run through & tech vibes for MR BK & Co.
-
DR TCB perhaps I should have seen YOUR production of BLACK COMEDY, I might like it better.
-
Ann Meara is now on ARCHIE'S PLACE - these episodes aren't any better.....
-
For some reason ClipGrab won't download YouTube clips anymore...as MP3s. I have to use another source.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Slept in a bit, just enough to actually feel like I did. Still feel groggy. Which will be okay for a little while. It was one HELL of a week.
More coffee!
-
Happy Super Sunday, everyone! :D
-
An update seems to have fixed my ClipGrab problem.
-
Super Sunday.....it is supposed to be 60 degrees here today....in February.

DITTO!
-
It is always nice to see photos of former DR Sandra.
-
I had some laundry to do this morning, thanks to one cat throwing up on the kitchen rug and Stella's mess from yesterday. That's finished, I've paid and mailed some bills, and I've discovered I have mislaid a credit card. Damn!
-
Happy Super Sunday, everyone! :D
Oh right. I hope that means Best Buy won't be busy today.

I'm listening to the OBC of Best Little Whorehouse, which I was lucky to see just before the cast changes in 1979. I didn't know the show and had no real interest in seeing but my college friend Karen was the wardrobe supervisor and she forced me to go one Saturday night. Tomorrow the cast changes, she said, and you've got to see this cast. It's brilliant.
It was one of the best pieces of advice I ever got.
The cast was extraordinary, the staging was glorious, and it was one of the funniest things I ever sat through. At the end, the audience stood, cheered, and screamed. I sat there and sobbed. It was one of the funniest things I had ever seen, but it was about the saddest losers. Carlin Glynn closed the first act with the monologue about the Kennedys and "The Bus From Amarillo," like "Doatsy Mae" another song about dreamers whose tiny lives prevent them from doing much. And then the final scene between Miss Mona and the Sheriff - will they end up together or avoid the issue? - was straight out of The Cherry Orchard. God, it was a brilliant heartbreaking show.
-
I'm up, I'm up - almost seven and a half hours of sleep.
-
I shall now be on my way to the theater.
-
I enjoyed reading about DR ELMORE's night at the whorehouse.
-
I have been listening to pronunciations of our granddaughter's name. Because of the spelling, which I do agree with, I expect there will be issues. I won't be sharing the name just in case they change their mind once she arrives.
-
I've been listening to the three "Unsung Musicals," and No. 3 just knocks the socks off me.

Hopefully once people learn to say it they won't have any problems. One of my nieces has a common name but an usual spelling. So everyone gets her name right. But they get the spelling wrong. It sort of drives me crazy especially when it is family or close friends.
-
Keith gets Kieth way too often. Bryan gets Brian and sometimes Brain. When he was young he liked Brain ;D
-
Oh, and Jennifer I like the yn spelling vs en on your niece's name.

Carol Hall’s work on the show was brilliant. I don’t think she got a Tony nomination. Of course, thst was the year of Sweeney Todd.

Later in the run they moved "The Bus From Amarillo" to the end of act Two, and I think that was a mistake.

Hard Candy Christmas is a heart-breaker, too.
-
"Donuts don't wear alligator shoes."
Another memorable line from Black Dynamite
-
I had a few too many choices of flicks for this evening. I need to finish up the Fritz Lang Indian series, so The Indian Tomb it is.
-
We had another day without rain. I need one more day rain free as not to get caught in it tomorrow morning.
-
The allergens in the air here are really and truly out to kill people right now. Just a few minutes of exposure today had been sneezing -- and I took all of my usual meds.
-
But it was a beautiful day. Bright, sunny, hardly a cloud in the sky. Made me want to be on a beach.
-
What am I saying? Breathing makes me want to be on a beach.

Let's move on ...

Three!

I have been listening to A Warning from Anonymous. It's interesting to hear a conservative say that Trump is insane and mean it. It's something that anyone with a minor knowledge of psych 101 would understand. And the incidents the writer has gone over are certainly compelling illustrations of support.
What I find weakens the arguments, however, is when quotes from reprehensible people like Reagan and Thatcher are tossed in, as if anything they said on the way people should behave would ever be taken seriously by anyone with an ounce of intelligence. Including then shows the author refuses to accept the responsibility such heinous filth had to play in the rise of Trump.

Helped out with the baby shower for friends from one of Joy's dance classes. Eileen has actually be able to dance while in her 7th or 8th month. One of the shower games was to cut off a strip of crepe paper that you thought was the mother-to-be's new circumference. I wanted to know if any extra points would be given for being polite.

Now that's choreography. And costuming.

The weather is doing its usual nonsense. Tuesday is supposed to bring a high of 82 degrees, and Wednesday's high will be 53.

I just have to get a couple of specific musical pieces that the director wants, and then I can put it all in the computer on Monday.
Well, I went to my sister's and swapped out the light fixture...and she doesn't like it. :-\ It's in the same line as the main kitchen light (this is over her sink), and it doesn't really match. Very strange. But she paid $95 for it, so I don't know if she'll get another one.
-
She then asked me to go grocery shopping for her (she doesn't really like to do it ::) ), so she gave me her debit card, the PIN, and a list (only about six items).
-
I went shopping and then came back.
-
She felt that the fence posts weren't a problem, so she decided that we didn't need to do anything with those, so I left and came home.
-
I wasn't feeling like staying out, so I called and left a message with my dad that I wasn't coming over. My mom wasn't home, so I guess it's a good thing that I didn't go over. ;)
-
I'm now home and had a snack (not "dinner" fed) and will be working on the music for Equivocation. I have most of the tracks...I just need to put them in some semblance of order.
-
We'll see how that goes. I have no idea how BK does it. I wish I knew.
-
First, I'm going to ketchup on today's posts.
-
Well, I have a cold and I am not happy about it.
~~~Cold-Be-Gone Vibes for Larry!!~~~
Back from our two-run day. I wanted to be out by four-thirty at the latest but it was five. Most of the two runs was fine - some low-energy playing, but I've given those notes and I simply think we're ready to do the show already. We had sound today and I had tons of notes, from volume levels to which cues were used for what. Some of it was fine but he has a lot of work to do.
-
We went to Best Buy today. It was more crowded than I expected but not too bad and, as usual the service was excellent.
-
Keith just finished setting up my new computer.
-
I love it. Everything works as it should and it is super fast.
-
I need to get used to it as well as the keyboard and mouse.
-
Enjoy the new computer, Jane.
-
It is soooo nice to click, highlight, whatever, with the mouse and have it respond as it should. On the old computer if I wanted to make a word "bold" I had to highlight the word, keep the mouse there, and then tap the screen with my left hand. If I was lucky that worked. I could click on something with my mouse 5-10 times before it did what I asked.
-
Thank you John.
-
I've started watching Second Time Around, a nursing home comedy/romance with Linda Thorson and Stuart Margolin. I haven't seen either of them in ages, and they seem to be loving the chance to flex those acting muscles. It's not a great flick, but it is enjoyable.
-
On FB I can click on "comments" without ending up at someone's FB page.
-
Thorson still has those eyes that made her Tara King on The Avengers so delectable.
Hello from Lawn Guyland
-
We’ve been home for about 3 hours
-
We are now unpacked
-
Work tomorrow
-
Vixdad drove from a North Carolina to New Jersey and I drove the rest of the way
-
I've been listening to the three "Unsung Musicals," and No. 3 just knocks the socks off me.
I love those recordings, too!
-
For once we didn’t run into any traffic on the Jersey turnpike...we often get stuck in bumper to bumper trying to get over the Verrazano bridge
-
But once we crossed over into Brooklyn we got stuck in bumper to bumper for about 14 miles...
-
Then suddenly after we passed Coney Island the traffic miraculously disappeared and we arrived home without incident
-
We shave so much time off the drives now that we started bringing a cooler with sandwiches and water
-
We used to stop for lunch and dinner and it would add another 3 or more hours to the trip
I love those even more than the Lost in Boston series. I know them's fighting words for some, but give me that title song from Sherry or Hero from Babe. Great stuff.
-
Keith just finished setting up my new computer.
Congrats on the new purchase, Jane!
-
Gratuitous Post #100!
We’ve been home for about 3 hours
Welcome home, Vixmom!
-
Glad you made it back safely, Vixmom.
-
My parents and now my sister have always packed some kind of cooler when going on a longish trip. Maybe not if they're just going to Seattle, but longer than that, yes.
-
"Life isn't fair, and then it's over."
A cherce bit of optimism from "Second Time Around"
-
Good night, all.
-
Good night, John.
-
Very tired and seriously on the cusp of getting sick, which I have no time for - taking all my preventatives, of course. And maybe it's something else - I started coughing and having difficulty breathing when the smoke machine at the theater was being pumped on stage. I've been coughing ever since and can't breathe too deeply without setting that off again. Perhaps I'll take some NyQuil tonight, just to be on the safe side.
Cold, go away, for BK!
Page five!
-
Welcome home, vixmom.
Congrats on the new computer to Jane.
-
A chance for a little snow tonight.
-
Not in my neck of the woods, but possibly George’s neighborhood.
-
Congratulations to the Kansas City Chiefs for winning the SuperBowl.
-
Our President should have asked what state the Kansas City Chiefs call home.
-
He said Kansas; it is, of course, Missouri.
-
I wonder if he thinks Green Bay is in Ireland?
-
I finished my strange sounding Titanic book yesterday.
-
It turned out to be a wonderful book.
-
I thought it might make a good film, but it would have to a miniseries.
-
Oh, I suppose Peter Jackson could mak it into a trilogy!
-
And the word of the day is: GREE!
Wasn’t the name of one of your books?
-
Well, I am tired, and alone.
-
Good night.
-
Not in my neck of the woods, but possibly George’s neighborhood.
That would be fun!
That's great, Tom.
-
Good night.
Good night, Tom. Sorry I missed you.
-
Oh yeah?
-
Really?
-
I really do not wish to get sick.
-
I'm debating about the Ny-Quil, but I should probably do it.
-
Notes are up and up are notes.
-
And here I sit like so much fish, listening to music. I'll be in bed shortly.
-
I've been working on the pre-show and intermission music for Equivocation.
