I've been listening to the three "Unsung Musicals," and No. 3 just knocks the socks off me.

I love those recordings, too!

For once we didn’t run into any traffic on the Jersey turnpike...we often get stuck in bumper to bumper trying to get over the Verrazano bridge

But once we crossed over into Brooklyn we got stuck in bumper to bumper for about 14 miles...

Then suddenly after we passed Coney Island the traffic miraculously disappeared and we arrived home without incident

We shave so much time off the drives now that we started bringing a cooler with sandwiches and water

We used to stop for lunch and dinner and it would add another 3 or more hours to the trip

Debra Paget dances for a snake in The Indian Tomb.

Now that's choreography. And costuming.

I love those even more than the Lost in Boston series. I know them's fighting words for some, but give me that title song from Sherry or Hero from Babe. Great stuff.

My parents and now my sister have always packed some kind of cooler when going on a longish trip.  Maybe not if they're just going to Seattle, but longer than that, yes.

Very tired and seriously on the cusp of getting sick, which I have no time for - taking all my preventatives, of course.  And maybe it's something else - I started coughing and having difficulty breathing when the smoke machine at the theater was being pumped on stage.  I've been coughing ever since and can't breathe too deeply without setting that off again.  Perhaps I'll take some NyQuil tonight, just to be on the safe side.
