Well, you've read the notes, the notes ate too much, and now it is time for you to post until the too full cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: NUMISMATIC!
-
First post after
BH
SPOO! First post after BK! Very sorry about the typo!
-
I've only been in a couple of shows where an actor was replaced. When I was in Annie in the mid-90s, the woman playing Miss Hannigan lost her voice during a Saturday matinee and the director wouldn't let her go on for that evening's second show. Fortunately, the young woman who had played the role in a children's summer theater production a few years earlier (directed and chorographed by our director/choreographer...who staged and choreographed both productions in almost the exact same way ;) ), was able to rehearse between the two shows and performed that night! She actually remembered quite a bit of it and was great!
-
The other time someone was replaced, I was running the sound board, so it didn't really affect me. The original actress had a committment during the last weekend, but the director and writers really wanted her (it was an original musical adaptation of The Wind in the Willows), so they cast an understudy for the last weekend. She was pretty good too, so it all worked out.
-
And a Very Happy Birthday to (occasional? former?) DR Matthew!
-
Well, I need to get to bed, so I shall.
Have a good day, all!
-
Hey, can someone who got the special CD we gave with There's Mel, There's Woody, and There's You make me WAV files and We Send to me?
-
Good morning, all!
-
I slept well last night, but I was up too many times.
-
After kitty cleanup, I'll spend the morning doing very little. I'll leave here just before noon for my doctor's appointment. I read through several messages from Dr Finkelstein on my HMO site, and I found the reason I am seeing his surgeon today: there was one polyp in my colon that the doctor could not remove and it needs to be removed surgically.
-
I've been reading a novel written by a friend, covering the period between the 1920s and now and the Broadway scene, and it's really a lot of fun. It's about three friends, a trumpet player, a spotlight runner, and a singer-actress. I finished Part One last night with a beautifully written and heartbreaking scene between the main character, a trumpet player in his mid-thirties playing in the Winter Garden orchestra of West Side Story at the time, and a pianist friend he'd met as an 18-year-old when the friend was playing piano in the 1940 production of Pal Joey. The older pianist was no longer working as a musician and dying from cancer and the first part ended with the trumpet player fulfilling the older man's two requests, a hospital visit when summoned and a trumpet solo of "Danny Boy" at his funeral.

I still need a trip to a Big Supermarket. I want to make a vat of vegetable beef soup. That may have to wait until Sunday.
-
Good morning!
-
Good morning, all.
-
Happy birthday, Matthew!
-
Off to get ready for work.
-
Sounds like a great book DR ELMORE.
-
Vibes for the surgery!
-
I think my mom used to take medicine because she was NUMISMATIC.
-
I am horrified to report that since I moved everything around last year, I am unable to locate my Kritzerland/Book cds.....most distressing. I hope someone else can find theirs.
I moved them to a place that would be more convenient - wherever the hell that might be.
-
Vibes for the surgery!
Well, there's no surgery today, just a consultation.
-
BK, I may have downloaded that CD into my iTunes. Was there a title to the CD?
-
Good morning, all.
-
I was here way too late to have gotten that CD, and I'd love to have a copy.
If someone can please make those files available to me, too, I'd love to have them. Or just make a copy of the CD, whichever works.
-
Friday, and we're back to the show tonight. This is the third of our three-show weekends, with a Sunday matinee.
-
I believe the CD is called Rare Tracks.
-
I have it in iTunes but it's the mastered version files in Sound Design and iTunes doesn't support Sound Design anymore so I can't play them or convert them as they're not even recognized. I'm sure I have copies somewhere but I wouldn't know where to look.

Don't you have a backup of your computer on Time Machine? You should be able to access all your iTunes Music on that external hard drive. If so, drag it from your hard drive backup onto your desk top. I checked my iTunes backups and the only CD of yours I downloaded was the "Haines His Way" CD.

Thanks! I know I have it somewhere but not on my current external hard drive. I'll check an earlier one.

:o
I didn't know that could happen. I hope the appointment goes well today and you find out the why or if a biopsy had been possible.

HEALTH VIBES FOR DR ELMORE.
-
Friday morning greetings! I thoroughly enjoyed my busy day yesterday, but did not enjoy having to depend on Richard and Sharon for transportation. They were both very attentive, which I appreciate.
-
Richard and I are invited to the annual volunteer appreciation dinner at his church in Dayton this evening, but I've opted out because the steps there would be difficult. He's the one who deserves appreciation anyway, so will go without me.

Big DITTO for that!

I went back to a hard drive from 2011-2012, and all I have are "Haines His Way" and "New Guy in Town." Sorry.
-
I am horrified to report that since I moved everything around last year, I am unable to locate my Kritzerland/Book cds.....most distressing. I hope someone else can find theirs.

Sounds like my house. I had all my BK CDs together. They’re somewhere all right. And I have no idea where.

In yesterday's mail I received the PERFECT get well card from my DAR friends. On the front it says:
I heard your WHATCHAMACALLIT got all OUT OF WHACK and DISCOMBOBULATED.
It's a good thing they have those THINGAMABOBS to fix your DOOHICKEY.
My friend Marianne, who hosted our book group last night, was also wearing a THINGAMABOB on her right leg (for her Achilles tendon).

John it didn't open for me.

Just read the reviews of Mack and Mabel. The book still sucks. The score still soars. UhMaybe someone should direct the book as a silent movie with a few subtitles and play up the two-dimensional characterizations and just let the score speak for the show.

MR BK you should get a friend request on BookFace from Paul Galloway - that is the man I was speaking about. I am sure you will enjoy meeting him and possibly working with him.
-
And I am home. The babies were just fed.
-
I liked Dr. Aronoff and his staff very much.
I need surgery. The proposed date is March 9, but I would prefer March 23. It will entail an appendectomy for the polyp, a look at the lesion on my right kidney, and, if there's cancer, removal; of part of my colon. I am a little freaked about it.
-
Surgery is only on Mondays, and I do not want it interfering with Love Life at Encores!

I am glad you like the doctor and his staff.
I would also be a little freaked out over it.
I am guessing you do not need to do the MRI since they are doing the surgery, yes?
Is this polyp the same thing that was seen on your appendix?

NO CANCER MEGA VIBES FOR DR ELMORE!

DR elmore will one or more of your neighbors be able to take care of the cats for you?
-
DR Elmore, I'm so sorry you have all that to go through :'(
And I wish we were closer by to help...

MRI never mentioned. The polyp is not in my colon as I incorrectly stated; it's on my appendix.

DR elmore will one or more of your neighbors be able to take care of the cats for you?
My neighbor Judy will feed them. I don't know if I will be releasedn the day of surgery or stay over, but she's set.

Joshie is set to bring me home, if needed.

Maybe he could go the BK route and self-publish. It's a thought.

That sounds like a cool idea. If nothing else, it probably couldn't be worse than any of the versions of the books that have existed over the years. ;)

I know where my book is, but I don't know if I kept the CD with the book. If I didn't, there's no telling where the CD could be. :-\ I can look when I go to lunch if no one else finds theirs before then.

Did some mandatory work classes today. One was on anti-bribery, and the phrase quid pro quo kept appearing. Made me furious that I have to be held to higher standards than the president.
-
I have a question. If I said that you are more than welcome to do something even though it is my turn, what would you think I was saying?
-
Hello, everyone.
-
Smooth surgery and coping vibes to Larry.
-
Vibes of all kinds for all of us.

That's because there are no lower standards.

“Yo, bay-ach, get outta my way,” as politely as possible.
Insert Miss Thang face here. And two snaps.

Let's be more specific:
Wrist vibes for Vixmom
Leg and foot vibes for Ginny
Stomach-reduction vibes for BK

TTFN.

Written or spoken?
-
I guess it would depend on tone... it could be construed as
“Sure, no problem if you would want to take my turn, I’ll do it another time”
Or it could be understood as
Being annoyed that someone is pushing you out of your turn so they can take over
-

Could you please do it as I don't really want to.

True it definitely depends on the tone. I took it completely at face value with a nice tone.

So, not one single person can find their Rare Tracks CD???
I didn't get a chance to go home at my lunch, but I can check before I go to the theater.
-
And now, I'm leaving. I'll stop at home real quick and then get to the theater.
Be back later.

We went out to dinner with our neighbor/friends and I thought for sure, after my statement, they would offer to drive. We drove-lol
-
I had a mushroom burger and Keith had yam Quinoa patties that were delicious. This was the best veggie burger I have had in the area. The fries weren't worth the calories.
-
Elmore vibes and prayers and hugs my dear
-
I am looking forward to Mack and Mable tomorrow
-
I hope the weather turns warmer though
-
It was lovely and warm on Wednesday but fell to the mid 20s the past two days
-
At lunch time today I popped out and did some grocery shopping, came home put the groceries away, moved laundry from the washer to the dryer, started a new load of laundry in the washer, warmed up some tomato red pepper soup, ate my soup, washed the dishes and was back at my desk all within the hour
-
I am so happy with this job ....
-
After work I went to get my hairs cut
-

I checked at homecand the CD wasn't with my book. I can look around some more tomorrow.
-
We're about to start and we have about half the house filled.
-
And we're off!
-
We're at intermission.
-
Act Two has started.
-
It's been going well and the audience has been enjoying it.
-
There are several actor friends here tonight, so that's cool.

I don't know if I can finish Romero. Despite a great performance from Raul Julia, the movie is just too depressing.
-
Tonight's concert was excellent. First was an inspired performance of the Dvorak Cello Concerto with Andrei Ionita just knocking it out of the park. then the symphony did Sibelius' 7th Symphony and Strauss' Till Eulenspiel's Merry Pranks, both rousing.
-
Sadly, there were only about 700 in attendance.
-
I got the thrilling position of running one of the elevators, which is a vital spot when you have a large number of elderly people in attendance.
-
The only thing I don't like is that if the elevator doesn't move for two minutes or more, the lights go out.
-
Surprisingly, or maybe not so with the slight attendance, the lights went out about 2 minutes before the concert began.
-
One more post ...
-
Five!
-
I could not find my copy of the CD.
-
I did skip to the end of the movie.
-
And with that, I'm going to say good night.
-

I'd better get going because I'm blocking other people's cars.
Until later.

After your previous employment, you would be happy to be the tester in a bed of nails factory.
-
My dear friend, Larry; vibes, prayers and good wishes to you on your upcoming surgery!

I wish I could be there for you.

It was another lovely day today in Puyallup.
-
Or as my late friend, Jim, used to call it — Puke-allup.
-
Tomorrow it is going to cloud over.
-
And Sunday it is supposed to rain all day.
-
Then on Monday, we are back to sunshine. Crazy!
-
Well, good night to one and all.
-
Hi, Tom.

Or as my late friend, Jim, used to call it — Puke-allup.
:o
-
:))
-
And Sunday it is supposed to rain all day.
Oh, no! We have strike for Equivocation. I hate it when it rains on strike day. :P
-
Then on Monday, we are back to sunshine. Crazy!
Whew!
-
Well, good night to one and all.
Good night, Tom.
-
And now, since we're so close...
-
six!!!
-
Tomorrow, I get to sleep in! Hoo and Ray!
-
I don't know if my family is getting together for our quasi-weekly family get together dinner, but if we do, I'll be there.
-
If not, I'll stay home and watch TV, or work on making some Blu-rays, and do some laundry...that's the plan, anyway.
-
But of course, the best laid plans.... ;)
-
So, we'll see.
-
Did I miss the George post about whether he found the CD or not???
-
Did I miss the George post about whether he found the CD or not???
I did not find it when I came home today before the show, but tomorrow I'll have more time to look very thoroughly for it.

I know I have it...but where??
