Well, you've read the notes, the notes had balls in the air, and now it is time for you to post until the balls in the air cows come home.

Today, I'm going to attempt to wake up at a more or less normal, regular time.  I also need to check in with my work to see if there's anything that I can/need to do.  I know we're not ordering anything, but there still might be other things that I can do.  I also really need to go through my e-mails.  I started on Friday and worked on them for about three hours :o but I still have a ways to go.

I had one really strange dream I vaguely remember now.  Former DR Joey was in New York and he was going on a trip to Israel.  He was looking for books on Roman antiquities in Israel, and I rook him to the NY Public Library, only the room we went into was the reading room of the Miami University Library.  We found books on the country Israel, but nothing on the Roman occupation.

Then we ran around midtown NYC to check out travel agencies to see if theu had anything.

Jerry Stiller has died.  I ran into Anne Meara several times when I worked at Barnes & Noble, but I only met Jerry once, years ago, as I waited on 48th Street and Eighth Avenue for the 104 bus.  I loved him on Seinfeld.

Jodi Benson was Florence, and I believe Ann Morrison was Svetlana.

T.O.D.

I've never really been a gambler.

Played a little Blackjack in Las Vegas and the slots, but nothing serious.

If I "gamble," then I gamble on myself.  Not cards or dice.

We watched THE SEVEN FACES OF DR. LAO last night.

Two friends, Barbara Eden and the late John Ericson, were in it.

I hadn't seen it since the mid-1960s when it was first released.  Enjoyed it...except for the stupid stuff with the dragon at the end.

Tony Randall was excellent.

Two (count ‘em) classic dreams — one at 5:15 am when I woke up for a brief bathroom trip, and another before getting up at 7:30.

The first was yet another former workplace dream which, this time, was clearly about things I have to face and get done over the next couple of days. (Ugh.) The second was a theater one in which the show in question somehow morphed from being A Year With Frog and Toad to Phantom of the Opera.

Lord.

Some mornings it’s just as well to be awake.

The only NYC street gambling scam I was around to see, in 1989 and probably for a couple of years following, was the three cups thing.

I specifically remember watching it around Broadway and 4th Street, or somewhere in that area near Tower Records. Seeing it for the first time, I was as fascinated as anyone, and though I fortunately never felt suckered into playing, I watched as closely as I could, convinced that I, DR ChasSmith, should be able to follow and keep track of the damned thing. And of course I couldn’t.

Yesterday being a warm lovely Sunday there were a lot of people out.  We didn't go all the way down to one park as to many rude covidiots were on the pathway.  Today we heard there was a very large party there with no one wearing masks.  Kind of like the stories we are seeing all over the news today.

This morning we took advantage of the quiet beach, at the closed, park and walked along the water's edge.  It is very frustrating to look at all the trash left behind, even unopened beer bottles.  It seems like such a simple thing to walk out with whatever you carried in.

I had watched the extras for the James Caan movie Thief and was going to watch it tonight, but I just decided it was too dark for what I need today. So, I'm watching a Bollywood musical called The In-Laws. It's nothing like the classic comedy of the same name.

Twilight Time died long ago, concurrent with the death of its heart and soul.  It's really that simple.  They released what had already been done and approved by Nick, after his death, and they have released NOTHING since.  The only thing they've been doing for the past eleven months is having sales and trying to get rid of stock.  Why this is a surprise to anyone is interesting to me.  Nick's partner did none of the work that Nick did.  When Nick passed, his partner shut Julie Kirgo, Nick's WIFE, out of the company.  That was the end right there.  Their fellow worker Mike would not be equipped to do what Nick did.

Had cajun food from some jernt - a chicken po' boy and mac-and-cheese - the po' boy was impossible - no way to eat it was a sandwich.  It was okay tasting, but it's drizzled with remoulade, which is stated and which is fine, but they did NOT state that they then globbed on mayo all over the bread, and that made me want to gag.  I ate about a third of it with a knife and fork avoiding the mayo.  The mac-and-cheese tasted weird - I ate half and gave up.  I hate when my main meal is lousy, so I think I'll stick to the jernts I know.

We watched the season finale of THE ROOKIE this evening.

They ended the season with a major cliff-hanger that really didn't fit with what had come before.  Frankly, it was a turn-off.  It was such an unbelievable turn-off that I might not watch the show next season...IF there is a next season.

This was posted on YouTube a couple of weeks ago, and I saw it on Facebook today, so some may have already seen it, but it's pretty cool.  It's Into The Woods In Quarantine (https://youtu.be/O23fBaYp28U)!

Had a nice drive, and have had no time to even watch a movie.  But the two multi-singer numbers are all fixed up, tracks made, plunks of the melody, lyric sheets, and everyone now has all of that stuff, save for the two fellow we still need to cast.

I had originally selected seven, but by the time I checked out and was about to pay, a message displayed that they didn't have enough stock for the quantities that I had chosen!

During this particular stay at home thing, for me this site and a plethora of posts to read is what makes it less irritating and stultifying.  So, really, let's get off our lazy butt cheeks and get some postin' goin' on.  I has spoken.

Who are you telling this to, when there is no one here to read it?

So, from the time I selected those two titles, to when I actually was ready to pay, they went out of stock.

I'm reading them on the laptop that I got from work.  I just don't have to spend a full eight hours going through my e-mails, so I'm going through them a chunk at at time.

Don’t tell Trump you can do that, or he will change Election Day to Christmas Day.

Don’t tell Trump you can do that, or he will change Election Day to Christmas Day.

I think (hope) I read that some feel that if he tries to change or postpone election day, it would be very bad for him.

I've ordered a couple of things via Prime and they've arrived within two or three days.  Not sure about everything, but that's been my experience lately.  And I have said that we all should make a stink about Amazon Prime memberships and getting an extension of at least six months.
