Today begins my two weeks of IRS preparation. I will lose most of Thursday for my MRI and MRI prep, which is similar to a colonoscopy prep.

This morning, around 5:00, I had my first cancer anxiety attack since about this time last year when I was going through all the scans and MRI to check out the appendix lesion and kidney tumor.

I think I spent too much time outdoors yesterday. Even with my mask, I can feel an allergy headache coming on.

Kitty cleanup is finished and I'm on my second cuppa. As soon as I make the bed, I'll head downstairs with the recyclables and pick up Saturday's mail, if there is any.

We watched an entertaining film last night on the subject: STAGE MOTHER.
It was about a woman whose estranged gay son dies of a drug overdose, then she takes over management of his failing "drag" nightclub...and makes it a success.

Today's plans:
I must make a short shopping trip for a few foodstuffs, and get the trash cans down to the road by tonight. And this is the day we're determined to empty the fridge, clean a shelf that has some weird substance on it, and reload in such as way that we can see and reach things.

I also want to listen to the rest of the Albert Herring recording, but I really need to take out my vocal score and follow the entire thing. I remember it has my multicolor (!) markings from when I played the pit piano in college, so it will be amusing and perhaps even a little embarrassing to revisit all of that.

Good Morning - Here we are in a new week. The boys had me pinned to the mattress last night and I woke up with a sore back. Took some advil and it's feeling better. It's so nice that they want to be so close to Papa, but we're going to have a chat this evening before lights out.

Speaking of Urinetown, I have my first Zoom vocal rehearsal today. Lots of "tech(y)" things to go over first and they have to be on the ball with that. Shrek starts tomorrow on Zoom and hopefully we'll have Frozen Jr cast by the end of the week. It's things like this that keep us going!

I got a vaccine appointment for this coming Thursday at my regular Safeway store. My cousin called me at 9:00 a.m. and told be to sign in to Safeway CoVid vaccines, and I did. Apparently Sunday morning is when most of the Safeway, Albertsons and Fred Meyer appointment are opened up for the week.
I am very relieved you have an appointment.
Craig received a call from a coworker telling him spots had just opened up through their union site. He and several coworkers now have appointments at Kroger for next week.

I've just finished my first pass through my 2020 receipts, sorting them into envelopes labeled utilities, rent, income, etc. Thatch and Stella kept threatening to help me but I was luckily able to keep them at bay. Tonight I'll begin breaking the envelopes down, separating all the utilities payments to Con Edison and Spectrum, the insurance envelope into health, apartment, and life, and so on.

Had Japanese food for food. Picked up some packages, did a quick Gelson's run, and now I'm listening to music. Gottfried von Einem's opera of Kafka's The Trial. I had another CD of this and hadn't loved it, although it was the best of the three Trial operas I heard, but it was from an ancient radio broadcast in terrible sound - this one's a newer stereo recording and it's like listening to a whole other opera.

So, I found out today that my new supervisor (the new Finance Manager of the library) officially started work today.

However, he's not in the building. :-\

He'll be coming up from California, but won't physically be here in the area until next Monday.
