BK, most excellent Vibes & Xylophones for a successful moving day!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Jane, I meant to thank you for the information about the ventless dryer. It was an interesting little video.
Daren, two disappointing movies in a row.
Who's Daren??
Strongest vibes for MR BK and the move AND for the MOST important envelope.
DR John the Buttermilk Pound Cake sounds good.
You gotta get your seafood, Mama
Your favorite dish is fish
It's your favorite dish.
If Joshie could stop by on some kind of regular schedule, it would almost be like having Val back! :)

My apartment management was so damned stupid to lose him.
DR John the Buttermilk Pound Cake sounds good.
It’s sounds better today than it did yesterday
We, finally got our fence fixed...after a car crashed into it.
It was a student drive, who pressed down on the gas instead of the brake.
A car plowed into the stop sign next door. There are plenty of car pieces scattered across the neighbors’ lawn. I hope everyone was OK.
Not an auspicious start to bk's move.
My impression of the "helper" lowers with each passing day.
Monday evening greetings! I did something today that I haven't done for more than a year - attended, in person, a luncheon meeting of one of my ladies' groups. It was very nice and I get to do something similar tomorrow with a different group, but it's just a meeting with no meal being served.
As if the past year hasn't been annoying enough, on Saturday I received a summons for jury duty for a 2-week period during which Richard and I have planned to visit Charlotte and her parents. I've mailed in my request for a reprieve - pray for Rosemary's baby.
I didn't know that about Washington. I have never served jury duty. The first time I was called up Bryan was just a couple of months old. The second time was in Ashland and one of my specialists wrote a note that exempted me from jury duty forever. Right now I am kind of in-between doctors and would hate to need one of those letters again.

Are you going to bake it? I would except I don't bake anymore so as not to eat the goodies I bake.
Bruce called me. They got everything moved, but it was a bigger production than was estimated. He's trying to get some dinner now. I'm sure he'll tell you all about it.
Good news, indeed.
It got up to 95 today. All of a sudden, thunderstorms rolled in. I had to save two plants that almost drowned over the weekend.

That took a long time. Aside from how it looked was it a problem having an insecure fence?
I'm back, finally. I never need to have a day like this for the rest of however long I have left on this planet. EVER. Helpers all showed up at noon, but packing up two huge trucks took longer than they thought so they didn't get to the new place until 2:15. It didn't help that the helper wasn't there to let them in at eight - she got there around eight thirty. The problem was,, of course, that I was paying the helpers from noon. Anyway, the two trucks finally arrived and the five guys who were doing it, maybe six, were really good and really friendly. They got the shelves set up very quickly and all of them fit in the bigger unit, with enough room to have aisles for easy access. Then they began unloading the CD boxes - the big boxes and sealed little boxes all went to one of the smaller units, as that's all excess stock. Then the three guys who were there began organizing the Kritzerland unit and, well, I have to have a time out right now so the rest will be in the notes. Suffice it to say, that amazingly we got everything done by six. The move cost twelve hundred more than the estimate and really would have cost 2K more but because they were so late and all that stuff, they took eight hundred off the bill. I gave some stuff I didn't want to the workers, who were very grateful. And we threw out some stuff. By four o'clock, I knew we'd need the fourth space, so I went and paid for that. There's not much in that space right now, just excess stock - so much excess stock - endless excess stock - but now, in a week or two, I'll have a couple of people come out with me and we'll take some boxes out of the jam-packed excess box unit (you literally cannot even walk into that room right now, so I'd have no way of getting to anything. When originally setting up that unit, we had two nice aisles and I could see what was what. But none of us knew at that time that the second truck had about sixty more boxes of excess stock. So, we'll move some of that stuff to the fourth unit, and I'll bring some stuff from the garage here, too. Then at some point, I'll start going through the unit that has my personal stuff in it, and my intention is to toss as much as I possibly can.
Um, really, let's get some positin' goin' on, REALLY.
And I need a little happiness, so...
Jacques d'Amboise has died. Daughter, Charlotte, said he had suffered a stroke.

Really?? You're complaining about posting when we could be on page 85 if you had broken up that last YUGE post into smaller posts! :o

Thank you to everyone who expressed condolences for the loss of my high school drama teacher. Mind you, I hadn't really had any contact with him for almost 50 years, but it still feels like a loss.

Hi, Tom.
My scooter’s batteries also died today. They were only eight months old, but the warranty had already passed. Still, D.J. gave me a great deal on the replacement. He is such a sweetheart.
Elon Musk is hosting SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE?

That's great about getting the deal, but are they supposed to last only eight months? :-\

They normally last a year, but mine have rarely lasted that long. Next year (or whenever these die)I am going to spend the extra money to upgrade to the larger battery pack.

That's weird. I wonder if something is wrong with the scooter itself to cause the battery to degrade sooner than it should.

No, it happens all the time with the little batteries. If you carry groceries or packages on them, it wears them down faster.
So, I'm listening to The Manhattan Transfer's first album (https://music.amazon.com/albums/B07M7VL8TD) through Amazon Music. It's free for Prime members so that's pretty cool...except that one song is not the original recording! The song "Gloria" is a live, a cappella version from a later album (at least, it's still The Manhattan Transfer, and it's a good version)! I wonder how that happened when all the other songs are correct! ???
Did anyone post that Billie Hayes died? The one and ONLY Mammy Yokum.

Yes, I think Slingblade posted it. Or maybe it was Larry.
