I'm back, finally. I never need to have a day like this for the rest of however long I have left on this planet. EVER. Helpers all showed up at noon, but packing up two huge trucks took longer than they thought so they didn't get to the new place until 2:15. It didn't help that the helper wasn't there to let them in at eight - she got there around eight thirty. The problem was,, of course, that I was paying the helpers from noon. Anyway, the two trucks finally arrived and the five guys who were doing it, maybe six, were really good and really friendly. They got the shelves set up very quickly and all of them fit in the bigger unit, with enough room to have aisles for easy access. Then they began unloading the CD boxes - the big boxes and sealed little boxes all went to one of the smaller units, as that's all excess stock. Then the three guys who were there began organizing the Kritzerland unit and, well, I have to have a time out right now so the rest will be in the notes. Suffice it to say, that amazingly we got everything done by six. The move cost twelve hundred more than the estimate and really would have cost 2K more but because they were so late and all that stuff, they took eight hundred off the bill. I gave some stuff I didn't want to the workers, who were very grateful. And we threw out some stuff. By four o'clock, I knew we'd need the fourth space, so I went and paid for that. There's not much in that space right now, just excess stock - so much excess stock - endless excess stock - but now, in a week or two, I'll have a couple of people come out with me and we'll take some boxes out of the jam-packed excess box unit (you literally cannot even walk into that room right now, so I'd have no way of getting to anything. When originally setting up that unit, we had two nice aisles and I could see what was what. But none of us knew at that time that the second truck had about sixty more boxes of excess stock. So, we'll move some of that stuff to the fourth unit, and I'll bring some stuff from the garage here, too. Then at some point, I'll start going through the unit that has my personal stuff in it, and my intention is to toss as much as I possibly can.
