Well, you've read the notes, the notes put the kibosh on the Keto, and now it is time for you to post until the kibosh on the Keto kows kome home.
-
And the word of the day is: AFFLUENT!
-
I would love to see a movie version of Red Gold!
-
So would I.
-
DR Vixmom is it your brother in-law who had surgery and your brother is fine?
-
Vixmomm you have good reason to be sad about your job.
VIBES TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY!
-
It is supposed to be 108 degrees here on Saturday.
-
Sunday the expected high is 113 :o
-
Good morning, all!
-
Yesterday was a heavy day of housekeeping with laundry and kitchen cleaning. Because my legs and lower back are not happy when I stand as upright as possible, I have a tough time reaching too high. I hope I can get Micheal's help today on the stratospheric parts of my kitchen area.
-
I did sleep rather well until Thatch and Stella began pestering me around 4:30. Annabelle slept very soundly beside me.
-
Good morning, friends.
-
{{{Hugs}}} to DR vixmom!!!
-
In her list last night, she left out at least one thing: DH vixdad's bad sprain.
-
Last night I watched Act One of Britten's magical opera, A Midsummer Night's Dream, a 1981 Glyndebourne production staged by Sir Peter Hall, who has directed the play several times and knows it quite well. The designs are quite beautiful, and the cast is very good, especially the young actor who plays Puck.
-
I loved Red Gold and would love to see it have a new life.
-
DR elmore3003, have any of the renditions of the opera with Christopher Gillett made it to video?

He sings Flute on the only other DVD release, directed by Robert Carsen.

Good morning, all.

Hugs and vibes for Vixmom.
Yes, indeed! How goes the unemployment application?
-
I feel like it’s taken a month for Friday to get here this week
-
TOD
Mystery Road
Maybe a John Schlesinger double feature of Midnight Cowboy and Day of the Locust
-
It's only six months until Christmas!
-
HA! I was just thinking about RED GOLD, too. It is probably among my top FIVE favorites of all of MR BK's books. In fact, I had already planned to mention it prominently in my upcoming (next week) review of SOME DAYS ARE MURDER.
Yes Mr Clint Eastwood would indeed be a good director for a film version...and I would highly endorse such a project and be the first in line to buy a ticket.
-
It's only six months until Christmas!
Thanks. No, really. Thanks. Santa will remember you.
-
I was thinking of Red Gold the other day, too. Blame it on the Neptune retrograde.
Yes, Clint Eastwood would be a good director, if he could keep his ham-fisted politics out of it. It’s why I’ve stopped seeing his movies.

Friday morning greetings! It's a full day at the ALA virtual conference, starting in an hour with speaker Stanley Tucci. He's promoting his book Taste: My Life through Food, to be published this fall.
-
Vibes of all kinds for DR Vixmom. Whine all you want - that's what we're here for :-*
-
TOD - all I'm watching today is virtual stuff on my computer, but last night Richard and I watched "Nomadland." Kind of depressing...
But, on the upside - here's Page 2!
-
It was depressing, wasn’t it, Ginny? Not kind of, despite its message of individualism.
-
Good morning, all.
(And not long before it turns into afternoon. Hmm, how did that happen?)
-
BK, I know the Keto diet was a departure for you, but congrats on hanging in with it and for the weight you did lose. Ain't nothing shabby about the first 12-15 pounds. And boy, do I need to do the same now.
-
TOD
A shameful week of nothing much for the likes of moi. But I'm hankering to get out, so I think I'll go to my favorite Bedford Playhouse (as if there were more than one Bedford Playhouse) where I'll see In the Heights as it was truly meant to be seen, and better than anywhere else, before it concludes its run there this weekend. We watched on HBO Max, but I can take it a second time under these perfect conditions.
I'm going again on Tuesday, too. "Classic Tuesdays" are back, and I'll see Victor Victoria on the big screen for the first time since I saw it in a theater in 1982.

This sounds really good. Adding it to my list...

More coffee!

Another classic dream -- or two or three, possibly, as it touched on more than one common theme.
Damn it. The first part has vanished. Maybe it'll return later.
Anyway, the main part had to do with arriving at an airport to go home from wherever. (No idea where this was, but it had snowed later in the dream.) I was enjoying how light my luggage was this time, as I was able to carry my large suitcase as opposed to pulling it on its wheels. I entered the terminal and found myself in a gift/souvenir shop type of area, where I saw one friend (female) and said hi, then another friend (male) (maybe a friend of hers, not sure now), and I asked the two of them to watch my bags while I went over to the coat check room to retrieve my black blazer that I just realized I had the claim ticket for. As I got in line, so did a bunch of other people, and I think I got the jacket, not sure, but next thing I knew I'd accidentally gotten into a taxi or shuttle that was circling the airport, and I knew I desperately had to get back to that other terminal where my friends were standing there watching my luggage. I got out in a place I thought was right, but of course it wasn't and it all went to hell from there. It took me a few minutes on waking up to convince myself I could quit worrying about the trip and the luggage because it was all a dream.
-
Enough of that! Time to throw in a load of laundry.
-
DR CHAS SMITH the Dream-O-Matic 6000 says that your dream indicates you are not pleased with plans that are being made for you and wish to take care of things yourself. You have more information about the event/occasion than those who are ostensibly in charge. If only they would listen to you.
You are thinking of leaving the entire project and it would be better for your mental/physical health if you do just that. Especially since something even more fun and exciting will take its place.
-
Good Morning. DR VixMom - our prayers and thoughts are with you in this challenging time. You will get through it!
-
Today, I'm at school early to cover a math class for a fellow teacher, thank goodness she was back early because math and I do NOT get along. So, I'm in my tech lab dealing with some things that need dealing with until my iMovie class starts at 12:30pm. Tonight, the DBF (or I don't know what to call him) and I are heading up to SF for dinner and just basic hanging out. Besides a baseball game a month or so ago, I haven't been up there. I sorta miss it, we'll see how true that is!
-
I'm up, I'm up - about six and a half hours of sleep.
-
Michael has left and a dent has been made in the books sitting on the floor. They no longer do, and at the moment, we have 2.5 cartons filled with books. There will be more, but at the moment I have lost my Bumper Book of Bottoms!
I am not amused.
-
Good afternoon!
-
More vibes for DR vixmom.
-
In her list last night, she left out at least one thing: DH vixdad's bad sprain.
I was thinking about his sprain while at the gym this morning.

Making an edible version? Nah, too much to hope for.

The fairly new neighbors, who park their cars right below us, have announced their return home. How do we know, the man set off the alarm on his car again. ::)
-
DR Vixmom is it your brother in-law who had surgery and your brother is fine?
I see I mis typed last night, it is my brother in law, Vixdad’s sister husband, who had the surgery
-
In her list last night, she left out at least one thing: DH vixdad's bad sprain.
Yes there is that as well, and the whole immigration status kerfuffle is getting concerning, along with his upcoming surgery and looking at 10K of dental work for moi
-
Thank you all for your support, I shall try to keep the moaning to a minimum
-
Hugs and vibes for Vixmom.
Yes, indeed! How goes the unemployment application?
I set up my system ID but unexpectedly I’m still employed
-
They intended to let me go on Tuesday and I offered to come in on Wednesday to write notes in my outstanding files and clean up any lose ends
-
Midday on Wednesday my boss suddenly realized he needed to send out letters to all his clients for whom he was holding wills and asked me if I would be willing to stay on and type all the letters and envelopes etc.
He apologized because it was “just clerical” and said he would understand if I refused.
-
I said I would be more than happy to do it ( hell if he asked me if I wanted to take on the janitorial duties I would have said yes)
-
Well two and a half days later we’re only up to “I”…there are hundreds of these..
-
So I’ll be working at least through Tuesday or Wednesday…

Oh no. I thought you were basically done with the super expensive dental work :(
Vibes the immigration status is soon sorted out in your favor.
-
DR Vixmom is it your brother in-law who had surgery and your brother is fine?
I see I mis typed last night, it is my brother in law, Vixdad’s sister husband, who had the surgery
May he have a full recovery.

Thank you! Phil can use all the vibes and prayers anyone might care to send his way.
-
Phil is my SILs 2nd husband, a wonderful man who loves her children
as his own, taking them on when they were young teenagers. He was wonderful with my in-laws, clearing their brush, plowing their snow, cutting their lawn, fixing anything that needed to be fixed, taking care of them when they fell ill…he was an absolute Godsend to our family.
He deserves all good things

Well, I have decide to out do George. The current temperature for Tumwater on Monday is now being predicted at 110 degrees.
-
DR vixmom - holding space for you and your family.
-
That's insane, DR TCB.
-
The temperature for my part of Puyallup on Monday is now being forecast at 113 degrees!
-
DR Jane - this made me think of you!
-
It is only going to be 106 on Sunday.
-
The current all-time high temperature in Seattle is 103 degrees.
-
I am glad that global warning is all a hoax!

Oh boy! One last post.

LOL, oh no. They always just sit on me.

DR John G. - thanks for alerting me to Mystery Road. Added to our queue.

The current all-time high temperature in Seattle is 103 degrees.
This confirms my statement. Amazing all time highs in June, not even highs for the month.
-
I can't remember if Jeanne said she was having her procedure this week, or if it had been postponed.
-
This is the summer we should have gone to the Canadian Arctic, not during the typical comfortable summer we did go.
-
~~~ENOUGH MEDCIAL VIBES AT HHW TO GO ALL AROUND!!!~~~
I am glad that global warning is all a hoax!
Why yes, I’m sure these high temperatures are part of a false flag operation and the heat is generated by secret Jewish laser beams
Good night, friends.
-
Found three interesting jobs on indeed
-
Guess I’ll update my resume and see what’s what
-
Job hunting vibes, Vixmom. And vibes for your whole family.
-
I am back from seven hours of ushering for two very disorganized shows staring Gabriel Iglesias, aka Fluffy.
-
Last night, he played until 11:30 p.m. Who knows how long he will go tonight.
-
I was told I could leave, so I didn't blink.
-
His first show started at 6:30 p.m. and needed to be done by 8:30, so we could get people out and other people in for the 9:30 p.m. show.
-
The first show didn't end until about 8:50. We hurried everybody out and the rest in. Somehow we got everyone in their seats by 9:30 and the show started on time.
-
But the opening acts went on long, and all of sudden, a 20-minute intermission was announced. No one announced this to the theater staff, the security, the concession stands people, anyone. The few of us volunteers who were there jumped into action, too. We kept having to remind people that if they were out of their seats, they should wearing masks. I was the person who let folks out for smokes.
Somehow, everyone managed to make it seemed as if the whole thing were planned.
-
He's doing 30 shows in all. I think the staff will be working with him on the future shows.
-
I listened to about an hour or so, and I found his stuff to be very funny. Of course, a lot of jokes were pandemic related. My favorite is when he listed all of the qualities a person needs to be most susceptible to the virus (obese, diabetes, Hispanic) and how he matched every single one. So, he announced that he'd found his perfect partner on Tinder, and her name was Corona.
-
He's also the voice of Speedy Gonzalez in the new Space Jam movie.
-
Gratuitous post No. 115!
-
TCB, I have to repeat, it is really nice having you back where you belong.
-
We can make it to page five soon.
-
At least I hope so.
-
Push!
-
Five!
-
What is this page five malarkey?
-
Hello, 3 guests!
-
Off to do my crossword puzzles.
-
Good night, all.
-
So I’ll be working at least through Tuesday or Wednesday…
Nice!
That's what I've heard, also.
Oh, and I'm home. :)
-
The Phase 10 games were fun.
-
My mom won two, and her friend Mona won the third.
-
I almost won one, but then I didn't win. ::)
-
:P
-
;D
-
Before I left my mom's, my sister called and asked if I would stop by her house and help move a couple of large planters from her yard onto her front porch so that they'd be out of the direct sunlight.
-
They were kind of heavy, but we got them moved fairly easily.
-
That's insane, DR TCB.
What?? :o Not according to MY weather app...so far!
I believe there was a Monday in there, somewhere. The word “current” was there because the temp keeps going up.
-
Monday it still says 110 degrees in Tumwater.
It is currently 80 degrees in Seattle.
