TOD - all I'm watching today is virtual stuff on my computer, but last night Richard and I watched "Nomadland."  Kind of depressing...

But, on the upside - here's Page 2!

It was depressing, wasn’t it, Ginny? Not kind of, despite its message of individualism.

Good morning, all.

(And not long before it turns into afternoon. Hmm, how did that happen?)

BK, I know the Keto diet was a departure for you, but congrats on hanging in with it and for the weight you did lose. Ain't nothing shabby about the first 12-15 pounds. And boy, do I need to do the same now.

TOD

A shameful week of nothing much for the likes of moi. But I'm hankering to get out, so I think I'll go to my favorite Bedford Playhouse (as if there were more than one Bedford Playhouse) where I'll see In the Heights as it was truly meant to be seen, and better than anywhere else, before it concludes its run there this weekend. We watched on HBO Max, but I can take it a second time under these perfect conditions.

I'm going again on Tuesday, too. "Classic Tuesdays" are back, and I'll see Victor Victoria on the big screen for the first time since I saw it in a theater in 1982.

Last night I watched Act One of Britten's magical opera, A Midsummer Night's Dream, a 1981 Glyndebourne production staged by Sir Peter Hall, who has directed the play several times and knows it quite well.  The designs are quite beautiful, and the cast is very good, especially the young actor who plays Puck.

This sounds really good. Adding it to my list...

Another classic dream -- or two or three, possibly, as it touched on more than one common theme.

Damn it. The first part has vanished. Maybe it'll return later.

Anyway, the main part had to do with arriving at an airport to go home from wherever. (No idea where this was, but it had snowed later in the dream.) I was enjoying how light my luggage was this time, as I was able to carry my large suitcase as opposed to pulling it on its wheels. I entered the terminal and found myself in a gift/souvenir shop type of area, where I saw one friend (female) and said hi, then another friend (male) (maybe a friend of hers, not sure now), and I asked the two of them to watch my bags while I went over to the coat check room to retrieve my black blazer that I just realized I had the claim ticket for. As I got in line, so did a bunch of other people, and I think I got the jacket, not sure, but next thing I knew I'd accidentally gotten into a taxi or shuttle that was circling the airport, and I knew I desperately had to get back to that other terminal where my friends were standing there watching my luggage. I got out in a place I thought was right, but of course it wasn't and it all went to hell from there. It took me a few minutes on waking up to convince myself I could quit worrying about the trip and the luggage because it was all a dream.

DR CHAS SMITH the Dream-O-Matic 6000 says that your dream indicates you are not pleased with plans that are being made for you and wish to take care of things yourself.  You have more information about the event/occasion than those who are ostensibly in charge.  If only they would listen to you.

You are thinking of leaving the entire project and it would be better for your mental/physical health if you do just that.  Especially since something even more fun and exciting will take its place.

Today, I'm at school early to cover a math class for a fellow teacher, thank goodness she was back early because math and I do NOT get along.  So, I'm in my tech lab dealing with some things that need dealing with until my iMovie class starts at 12:30pm.  Tonight, the DBF (or I don't know what to call him) and I are heading up to SF for dinner and just basic hanging out.  Besides a baseball game a month or so ago, I haven't been up there.  I sorta miss it, we'll see how true that is!

Michael has left and a dent has been made in the books sitting on the floor. They no longer do, and at the moment, we have 2.5 cartons filled with books. There will be more, but at the moment I have lost my Bumper Book of Bottoms!

I am not amused.

In her list last night, she left out at least one thing: DH vixdad's bad sprain.

I was thinking about his sprain while at the gym this morning.
