Well, you've read the notes, the notes noted that memory is a funny thing, and now it is time for you to post until the memory-challenged cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: SALTIGRADE!
-
Good morning, friends.
-
Fun art, DR George.
-
Memory is a funny thing.
Memories, like the corners of my mind.
-
Good morning, all!
-
I had a horrible night of sleep abd wuke some time before 5:30 with "Those Were the Good Old Days" from Damn Yankees running through my head.
-
Annabelle's allergies are keeping her from eating, and it worries me to death. I think I need some Benadryl.
-
Yesterday I binge watched the last three episodes of Belgravia, which I liked very much. What I do not like very much is the plethora of scenes so dark you can barely tell what the hell is going on, especially when things rev up in the final episode. In many ways the plot - and I assume it's the same in Fellowes' novel on which the miniseries is based - reminds me of Dickens, or maybe Trollope (since Fellowes earlier adapted Trollope's Doctor Thorne for televison) without all the odd characters and subplots.
-
Is it live, or is is Memorex?

Kitty cleanup is over, and I wait for Amazon Fresh to show up. Since they are generally earlier than 9:00, I am loathe to begin anything because I worry I will have to stop to accept the delivery.

Fellowes has adapted both, so it’s probably an amalgamation with a little George Eliot thrown in for good measure.
I’ll have to watch it soon.
-
I only watched a few episodes of BELGRAVIA but I think a gay character had shown up - but everything was kind of murky so I'm not sure ...
-
It's Murky Lurky Time...
-
Happy Sunday! There's a new Broadway Radio Show for your listening pleasure. It's a new Putting It Together episode as we listen to Irving Berlin's CALL ME MADAM using multiple cast recordings....enjoy!
Donald

It's Murky Lurky Time...
Ha!
-
I’m going to have The Ocarina playing in my head for a while now.

No gay characters, but I'm guessing there are a few gay actors among the excellent cast.

Amazon Fresh arrived at 9:20 in five cartons, and it was all put away by 10:00. Annabelle has appropriated one carton for her, Thatch, and Stella to play in, and I've broken down the other four. I've accomplished most of what I wanted to this morning, and after I return from taking everytrhing to the basement and picking up the mail, I will tackle the bathroom with the Dustbuster.

How could I forget George Eliot or Elizabeth Gaskell? I want to watch Doctor Thorne but it isn't yet on Netflix.

Sunday morning greetings! Fr. Richard is conducting services at the church Rob and Mary Linda attended before they moved to Chicago. I was all ready to watch online, but found out I need a Zoom link that I don't have.
-
While I was getting the mail, Fed Ex arrived with one of the replacement orders from Chewy.com, and he kindly carried the carton up to my apartment. After I emptied the carton and put the empty carton in the hall for me to take down tomorrow, Stella escaped. Now I need to track her down. Damn!
-
Good morning, all.
-
Another late, lazy Sunday morning here. But the windows can finally be opened and the world feels and smells good and fresh.

The wench!
-
My, it's a slow day on HHW!
-
I just took my bath, which was quite fatiguing. I'd like to bap but the cats have to be fed in 15 minutes or so. Stella kept me company. Earlier, Thatch helped me pay bills. It was hell.
-
While I was paying bills, I had four phone calls in a row, literally back to back, two on my land line. I ignored them because it was too painful to get my cane, and hobble to the phone for something that might be a phishing call. When I finished the bills, I checked them out. All four were from my neighbor. She's a good lady, but I think she might be a few sandwiches short a picnic.
-
Well, I think I can get us to Page 2 now.
-
Page 2 Dance!
-
I’m going to have The Ocarina playing in my head for a while now.
Ocarina happened to be an answer in my crossword today. It's following me.

As an adaptation of Trollope, Doctor Thorne didn't quite work. As a standalone, it was enjoyable.

Practiced Viennese waltz a little too much this morning. I hope I can remember this routine.
-
We're dancing it to a bluesy Elvis song called Power of My Love. What's interesting is that I never think of the blues in 6/8 time.
-
My copy of "The Sap of Life" arrived in yesterday's mail.

My copy of "The Sap of Life" arrived in yesterday's mail.
As did mine. I forgot to get the mail until today.
-
Stirring after a nap.
-
Thunderstorm rolling in.
-
After my church gig this morning and a round of grocery shopping, I had to lie down for a nap.
-
But now I'm fresh as a daisy.
-
We'll see how long that lasts.
-
I'm up, I'm up - a really needed ten hours of sleep.
-
A lull! :D
-
Good evening!
-
I'm watching Broadway: Beyond the Golden Age. Thanks for mentioning it, DR JohnG!
-
I'm up, I'm up - a really needed ten hours of sleep.
I outdid myself last night and got almost seven hours of sleep.
-
I am very relieved that when Craig returns to work everyone will be wearing masks.
-
If any of the staff have not been vaccinated they will be required to do weekly covid testing :)
-
We watched the first episode of Belgravia and enjoyed it.

Lucky #50

Gratuitous Post #51
-
Good night, friends.

When I was a kid, there was a hilarious book called The Classics Reclassified, which ripped apart all of the dreary stuff that we had to read in class. My favorites were the spoofs of The Iliad and the Odyssey.
Right now, I'm listening to a modern version of that: Texts from Jane Eyre and Other Conversations with Your Favorite Literary Characters.
-
I recall my throat was very sore after my last endoscopy and looked to see what soup we have in the cupboard. The only soup in there that I like is a tomato soup, something I figure I should avoid eating after the procedure.
All I currently have that is soft are eggs to scramble & ice cream. I had better shop for a can of soup.
-
While searching foods I found an article that suggests having someone go with you for emotional support prior to the procedure as well as picking you up.
Obviously that is an old article as I am sure no one will be permitted to go in with me ;D
Thankfully I don't feel the need for Keith to do more than simply drop me off and pick me up.
-
Regan and Goneril trading texts is a hoot. I think on a certain level I'm the same kid I was back then.
-
;D

That book sounds familiar. I might have known and liked it, too. And wasn’t there one, or maybe a few, on Shakespeare?
-
Richard Armour! Yes!
-
Three!
-
I started watching Broadway: Beyond the Golden Age on pbs.org.
-
Wonderful stuff. But I am fading fast.
-
Good night, all.
-
Don't really want to go to this cast partay thing but I suspect I should at least pay a visit.
-
Guess I'll mosey on over to this partay thing.
-
But before I go - page three? Really?
-
REALLY?
-
Most unseemly.
-
And barely page three at that.
-
I seem to have reached a new plateau about forty-eight posts ago and neither I nor anyone else took any notice whatsoever.
-
Most unseemly.
-
Say what?
-
I am very relieved that when Craig returns to work everyone will be wearing masks.
Starting this past Friday, all the public branches are requiring masks. We at the Service Center can still go maskless if we're vaccinated (and have shown proof) because we're not really open to the public.

"Texts from Jane Eyre..." sounds a little like Steve Allen's Meeting of Minds (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0075536/?ref_=tt_mv_close) that was on PBS. I remember my parents watching it when I was a kid, and I watched a bit of it also.
-
I wish that that were available on DVD (or even VHS).
-
I did find that at least four volumes of scripts were published. I just bought inexpensive (less than $10 each) copies of the first series (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0517533839/) and the second series (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0517538946/).
-
I wonder if they're in the public domain. ::)
;D
-
I also saw the audio editions of the TV show are available through Audible (https://www.amazon.com/s?k=meeting+of+minds+volume&i=audible&ref=nb_sb_noss). It looks like 11 of the 12 volumes are available.
-
Well, what do you know! Some episodes are available on YouTube! Here are:
Volume 1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hKRxZSOqAYw
Volume 2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YGVbcHr3G88
-
And speaking of Steve Allen and Jayne Meadows: you can learn about Home Computers With Steve Allen & Jayne Meadows (1983) (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0FDxWh0wGII) :D
-
Okay, this is nauseating and most unseemly. Page three still. At this hour.
-
What the Hell is going on here?
-
Memory is a funny thing.
Memories, like the corners of my mind.
Light.
-
I’m going to have The Ocarina playing in my head for a while now.
Ocarina happened to be an answer in my crossword today. It's following me.
Is that the dance with all of the hand motions?
-
I can’t remember when he were last on Page 3 at 11:20 p.m.
-
I don’t know.
-
I am not sure George and I can do this.
-
Especially with George’s early bedtime.
-
We will reach page four.
-
I seem to have reached a new plateau about forty-eight posts ago and neither I nor anyone else took any notice whatsoever.
Sorry I missed it!
-
Whew! It's Page Four!
-
Page four
-
Hi, Tom.
-
I seem to have reached a new plateau about forty-eight posts ago and neither I nor anyone else took any notice whatsoever.
112,000 is a milestone?
-
My brain is fried.
-
Or fried is my brain.
-
These anti-vaccine people are really sick.
-
Stop using your seatbelt.
-
Drink and then drive.
-
The coach of the WSU football team is refusing the shot.
-
He makes over $200,000.00 a year.
-
He is a public figure.
-
Also an asshole.
-
“Nobody else’s business why not.”
-
Well, let’s take away those football helmets.
-
They infringe on the player’s civil tights.
-
I just don’t understand.
-
I really would like to know their reasoning.
-
It is not medical.
-
It is not religious.
-
It is not fear of needles.
-
I would bet that if you gave any of these protesters a round the world vacation
-
All expenses paid.
-
I seem to have reached a new plateau about forty-eight posts ago and neither I nor anyone else took any notice whatsoever.
112,000 is a milestone?
Anytime there are three zeros can be a milestone.
-
These anti-vaccine people are really sick.
I agree!
-
But you have to be immunized to go on the trip.
-
The coach of the WSU football team is refusing the shot.
If the school requires vaccination and he refuses, they should fire him!
-
I’ll bet all their excuses would vanish.
-
Does not getting a shot help Donald Trump in any way?
-
He started the whole ball rolling.
-
Page five
-
He barely got it going,
-
But he did support it.
-
Some kid was asking a doctor on TV, that when you get the vaccine, does the needle break off in your arm for like 20 seconds.
-
And then it dissolves.
-
Some adult told him that.
-
The adult probably believed it.
-
Where does that "information" come from in the first place?? :o
-
Thank you, fellows, for at least getting us this far. I think there is a bitch-slapping partay that's going to be necessary. Well, keep going as I haven't even written the damn notes yet.
-
Your welcome. But I don’t understand today’s low postings.
-
I have been watching that Hallmark series THE GOOD WITCH. It has been ON Netflix
-
But only Seasons 1 to 5.
-
But there are seven seasons of the show.
-
How the heck do I find the other two seasons?
-
This was posted in the Cast Album Collectors group on Facebook: Broadway performer Preshy Marker of Sherman Oaks was ‘full of life’ (https://www.dailynews.com/2015/07/11/broadway-performer-preshy-marker-of-sherman-oaks-was-full-of-life/).
-
It wasn't mentioned in the FB post, but she actually died six years ago. :-\
-
How the heck do I find the other two seasons?
Are they available on DVD? If they are, maybe your library has them, or can get them through Interlibrary Loan. Just a thought.
-
Well, I guess all seven seasons are available on Amazon Prime. But it looks like you have to buy the episodes of seasons 6 and 7.
-
That's weird that you'd have to buy the latest seasons.
-
Not to get political or anything, but...'Recall Ron DeSantis' Petition Hits 35,000 Target as Delta Variant Devastates Florida (https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/recall-ron-desantis-petition-hits-35000-target-as-delta-variant-devastates-florida/ar-AANlt8G?ocid=uxbndlbing). ::)
-
Although the petition was started over a year ago, it has recently picked up steam, with thousands of people signing it in the last few days as Florida sees COVID-19 cases soar. By Sunday morning, the petition had 35,367 signatures.

I don’t know. I will look tomorrow when I am not so tired

Sorry, I missed that post.
-
I told you I was tired.
-
I told you I was tired.
No prob.
-
Well...
-
...since...
-
...we're so close, let's just flip the page to...
-
6!!!!!!
-
Wow! I guess there are 11 TV movies of THE GOOD WITCH, which preceded the series.
-
I’m sorry, but I am done.
-
Good night.
