Well, you've read the notes, to BK's Notes We Went, and now it is time for you to post until the BK's cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: CAREER!
-
Topic of the Day: I don't know about "love," but I really like At Long Last Love and Xanadu. :)
-
And the word of the day is: CAREER!
First you're another sloe-eyed vamp
Then someone's mother, then you're camp
Then you career from career to career
I'm almost through my memoirs
And I'm here!
;D
-
Good morning to all
-
BK I recommend trying the app https://www.grammarly.com/ it’s very good spellcheck and grammar and you can choose the parameters
-
Hello, people!
-
Ready to face another day? Gosh.

-
It will be rather cold here today. High expected to reach 41 degrees. Low tonight will be 21 degrees, or thereabouts.
-
Happily, there is not a cloud in the sky down here. Zero chance of precipitation!

A brilliant idea, DR Ron Pulliam.

What Dreams May Come (1998)
-
Good morning, all!
-
The alarm rang at 6:00, I fed the cats, and went back to bed. I decided to get up aroud 8:15, so I'm having a lazy day.
-
We are covered in snow here. I doubt I will leave the apartment before Tuesday.
-
Now my favorite color is gray.
[a Sondheim reference]
-
Favorite unsuccessful plays:
Teibele and Her Demon by Isaac Bashevis Singer
Look We've Come Through by Hugh Wheeler
UTBU by James Kirkwood
I've only read the Wheeler and Kirkwood, but the Singer play was beautiful and heartbreaking with a great performance by F. Murray Abraham.
-
Good morning, all.
-
The snow isn't very deep yet, but it's blowing like crazy in all directions. I'm not planning on going outside to do anything about till tomorrow morning, but even then they're saying it's going to be windy -- which is horrible when you're pushing a snowblower around. Oh well. I'm going to enjoy my day indoors and not worry about it till then.
-
Good morning, all.

Slept mostly for 9 hours.

The news says we currently have 5.3 inches in Central Park and 6.5 inches in Westbury, CT.

Around 9:30 I started moving and did kitty cleanup. I'm still debating whether to make my bed or lie in it.

Party safe vibes for DR RON PULLIAM.
-
Survive the snow vibes for all East Coast HHW'ers.
-
The Sparks Brothers.
-
DR MICHAEL we saw ARNOLD at the Jerry Lewis Cinema and thought it was pretty funny.
-
Getting the packages vibes for MR BK.
-
The wedding was okay......my connection failed about twenty minutes in.....and by the time I got back, the couple were saying goodbye.
But I was there for awhile and talked to folks. It was funny that I was in Vermont and saying hello to people who live next door and down the block.
-
Seven degrees.....
-
I received my at-home covid tests in yesterday’s mail.
-
I'm up, I'm up - have been so since six - maybe I got two or three hours of sleep.
-
DR John, of course Tex-Mex pinto beans. I should have known.
-
Sorry for the lack of sleep, BK.
-
DR John, of course Tex-Mex pinto beans. I should have known.
You don’t have to have the bacon. But it helps.
-
DR Singdaw, funny tires required sign. I would hope everyone would know it was missing a word ;)
-
Just finished Empire of Pain. Great writing and a horrific story. And more reason to hate Trump, who ordered the Department of Justice to go easy on the Sackler family.
-
Duly noted.

My thoughts before I saw what you wrote.

DITTO!

I received my at-home covid tests in yesterday’s mail.
Nice and fast :)

Or the hot spice ;D
-
It's 22 currently. And semi-sunny. It feels like a heat wave!
-
We may go walking outside later.
-
Listening to the Bock and Harnick score for Man in the Moon, a children's show. It's charming.
-
Didn't Sondheim also write a musical called All That Glitters? In college?
-
He did.
-
I would definitely not go anywhere where people were unvaccinated, didn't believe in covid, or any type of super spreader event. I can't believe that people are even having big parties right now.
-
Duly noted.
I am always on the lookout for things that "spliting" in boiling water. Sounds painful, actually.
During a port visit to Hong Kong in my Navy days, I stayed at a hotel that had helpful hints posted on the door for all English-speaking guests.
The one I best remember was a warning to any of us who drive. We were invited to "tootle our horns vigorously" if someone stepped out into the street while we were driving
-
Many people don't know that in Neil Simon's original draft, the play was called Come Tootle Your Horn.
-
Back from an omelet, Gelson's, and lots of proofing. Only about eight pages left then I'll take an hour break, then enter the fixes, which should take an hour or two, I should think.
-

I am sooo glad I don't live there. I would like to visit one summer.
-
I had to read the instructions on another package to understand what I was supposed to do with the noodles, but both talked about splitting.
-
Three!
-
Trying to do a little house cleaning. A very little.

:))
-
You would be most welcome, DR Jane. Although in the summer, it can be hot and humid.
-
I know it doesn't sound bad, but I went out to put some stuff in my truck that I am carrying to the party. Was wearing a long-sleeved shirt.
Temp: 42 degrees. Wind blowing at about 15 mph.
And it felt like 20 degrees!!! I guess my blood is thin or something, but OMG!
-
The walk was invogorating. And quite pleasant, when we weren't walking into the wind.
-
I just checked; it said that San Francisco winters can be in the mid 50s (to low 40s at night).
-
Are you taking a souffle to the party, DR Ron Pulliam?
-
;)
-
Survive the snow vibes for all East Coast HHW'ers.
DITTO!
~~~Ditto, Too!!~~~
-
Saturday afternoon greetings! We’ve had a nice lunch at BW3 with niece/goddaughter Lauren and her son J. He’s a busy 6-year-old.
-
I would definitely not go anywhere where people were unvaccinated, didn't believe in covid, or any type of super spreader event. I can't believe that people are even having big parties right now.
Tonight we are going out to dinner, early to beat the crowd. There are dividers between the booths and the staff are masked. I hope vaccinated or not the masks work.
DR Ron you saw a good part of the world during your navy days, lucky you.
-
Hello, everyone.
-
Thank you all for the snow reports.
No snow here.
Good thinking!
Survive the snow vibes for all East Coast HHW'ers.
Ditto.
-
LOL DR Jeanne. How much snow would you have if you hadn't sold your home and moved to LA?
-
I received my at-home covid tests in yesterday’s mail.
Wow! That was fast. I received one yesterday, too, but I'd purchased it, not expecting the free ones until well into February.
-
Just finished Empire of Pain. Great writing and a horrific story. And more reason to hate Trump, who ordered the Department of Justice to go easy on the Sackler family.
Billionaires are all good people. Otherwise they wouldn't be rich, right?
-
I had to read the instructions on another package to understand what I was supposed to do with the noodles, but both talked about splitting.
Aren't the noodles thin enough already?
-
LOL DR Jeanne. How much snow would you have if you hadn't sold your home and moved to LA?
DR Kevin says it's light in his area, which isn't that far from where I lived, so probably about the same.
-
I just checked; it said that San Francisco winters can be in the mid 50s (to low 40s at night).
Thinking of moving? Or just dreaming of better weather?
-
I have no news.
Stay safe and stay warm, everyone.
-
TTFN.
-
No, DR Jeanne, it's just that DR Ron Pulliam used to live there.
-
We are watching Dinner at Eight.
-
And making bean soup.
-
FOUR!!!!
-
Listening to a guilty pleasure, Cry-Baby. Seems like there just aren’t enough vaccine musicals out there.
-
As for the noodles splitting, I think they meant that each clump or nest will loosen up in the water.
-
DR Kevin says it's light in his area, which isn't that far from where I lived, so probably about the same.
Probably. DC hasn't even been in the news, at least I haven't seen anything. I am guessing it is light where Craig is.
-
It felt really good to go out to dinner tonight. Our table was in a a spot that felt comfortably away from other tables.
-
Early morning tomorrow morning. Good night, friends.
Nice.
-
Bacak from a fun night of dancing.
-
There weren't many people, so I was on my feet for most of the evening.
-
Gratuitous post No. 99!
-
I think I'm going to go to bed.
-
The peanut butter noodles came out great. Even Joy, who doesn't like peanut butter or sesame oil, loved them. And there were no leftovers.
-
the daikon radish salad I made also disappeared.
-
So, how did I manage to bring home more leftovers than I took with me?
-
I think I'm done for.
-
Good night, all.
-
I thought it would take an hour or two to enter the fixes. More like seven hours. I finished, thankfully.
-
They just had a news report on these two women who made over one million dollars selling forged vaccine records.
-
They sold them to people for $220.00 each.
-
Now isn’t that stupid? To pay $220 for a forged document when you could have gotten all three shots for free?
-
I would love to sit down with someone and have them explain to me why they are against the CoVid vaccinations.
-
Not anything about Trump vs. Biden, but some other reason that I could understand.
-
And I am not buying the Trump/Biden explanation.
-
Trump has gotten both of the shots and the booster.
-
If you consider how many million people got their shots over six months ago, why is it that the only people getting sick and dying are the unvaccinated people.
-
Tonight I watched HOLIDAY INN. not the movie, but the stage musical.
-
I really enjoy the show, although I am not fond of Corbin Bleu who plays Ted Hanover.
-
I guess it might be the character he plays, rather than the actor.
-
I have actually watched the show three times.
-
Last post on four!
-
P a g e F i v e !
-
T.O.D.
I would have to say THE PROM. I just love that movie, but most people who saw it are rather lukewarm about it.
-
Now I am listening to THE BOY FROM OZ.
-
I wish there was a better version than the one on YouTube. It drives me crazy how they take out the applause, and then bring it in later.
-
Sorry, just a personal dislike.
-
I would love to sit down with someone and have them explain to me why they are against the CoVid vaccinations.
Even if they could explain it, you probably still wouldn't understand. I know I wouldn't.
-
I wish there was a better version than the one on YouTube. It drives me crazy how they take out the applause, and then bring it in later.
I know. In Follies in Concert they kept the applause when the characters actually performed, and didn't have applause for the book songs. That at least made sense.
-
Speaking of OZ, it is too bad they didn’t cast the woman that plays Jody Garland in OZ to play the lead in JUDY.
-
True she isn’t a name actress, but damn she would have been good.
-
Maybe she wouldn’t have been interested in playing Judy again.
-
Maybe she wouldn’t have been interested in playing Judy again.
That's always a possibility, but I would think that if it's a different project, with a different script and entirely different creative team, it might've been something that would've interested her.
-
I don’t know if I mentioned that I watched LIZA WITH A Z the other night. God, she was something!
-
Possibly. :)
-
I was checking out the cast list of BEAUTY AND THE BEAST at Seattle’s 5th Avenue Theater. After the actor’s name, and the chapter they are playing; they have in parenthesis they have have the pronouns for the actor. (he, his) (she, her) (they, them)
I've seen some interview-type shows (mostly online) where they do that, too. At my work, we have the option to put that on our name badges.
