Well, you've read the notes, the notes were fun, and now it is time for you to post until the fun cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: RECIPROCATE!
-
Topic of the Day: ???
Sorry, I don't really know from Baroque music.
-
I know of Baroque music, but I don't know what makes Baroque music Baroque music.
-
Good morning, friends.
-
"If it ain't Baroque, don't fix it," I always say - and have said.
-
I'll show myself out.
-
Good morning, all!

Yesterday was hell/ My printer died. Two years ago, just before my surgery in June, Stella climbed up the bookcase next to the computer and brought down a ton of books on top of the printer. The result was a broken tray, and my fear the printer was dead. So I went onto eBay, found the same model and purchased it. I asked the vendor to ship it on the day I had surgery so it would either arrive just before or just after I got home.
-
After buying the nerw one, I discovered I could still use the old, even with the broken tray, so I continued to use ir. The new one arrived, I set the shipping carton aside, and for two years stumbled across it on occasion. Yesterday morning, while I was printing out recording schedules, the printer gave up the ghost. So I had to drag out the one from two years agio and hope it was in good and workable condition.
-
It was in greast shape, I removed ink cartridges from the old one and inserted them into the new. I put the old printer into the new one's carton, set up the new one, and tried to print. Nothing happened. So, I played withanything that said "printer" or "HPdeskjet" on my apps, my system preferences, and then in frustration I called Joshie, since he is a computer wiz. He said, if it's the same model, it should be okay. I told him I would call down, watch my soaps, and then get back to it. I restarted the computer, and lay down with Stella to watch our soaps.
-
At 2:00, I tried to print again and nothing happened. I did some more putzing around with the apps and systepm preferences for printer. I was informed there was a "media jam." WTF? I still have no idea what I finally did, but the printer sprang to life, and I could print my three tentative schedules. Hopefully, this will be the first printer the cats to not try to kill.
-
I wish that whoever takes out Putin will come to the USA and take out Ms Lindsey Graham, Tom Cotton, and their dumb ass ilk. These creeps, and several other GOP representatives and senators are too stupid and narcissistic to be allowed near a government position.
-
Now that I have my printing done, I can actually work on recording budgets today.
-
Glad you sorted it all out, DR elmore3003.
-
:)
-
And what do I think?
-
Good morning, all.
-
DR TCB - you didn't know about my line of designer shots? :)
-
And what do I think?
Jock itch? I think he's a flaming hemorrhoid!!
-
Good morning, each and every single one of you.
-
I had an excellent night's sleep, thank you.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Yesterday, I had a five-hour journey.
I travelled to North Augusta SC for a visit with the ENT. It's a 32-mile drive, but the roads were not crowded, and the trip was pleasant enough.
I was a bit early, so I did my Wordle. I finished just before they called me (early) to start my appointment. They give you tests....breath tests. One such test is to blow into a tube and watch a little girl with a ball leap over a chasm. I got her over just fine.
-
The next test was a row of lit birthday candles. I had to take a deep breath and then expel my breath with enough force to blow them all out.
There were three candles on the far end that simply would not go out even though the 12 or 13 candles ahead of them went out immediately. I took that test three times.
I learned the doctor wasn't impressed...that I exhibited diminished lung power from my first visit (and I didn't do that test the first time). So, I had a 15-minute session with albuterol...inhaling and exhaling...to open my lungs.
After that, I took the test one more time. I was informed I had a 13 percent improvement over the previous test. Still, the final three candles did not go out.
-
The end result was that they figured the meds they had given me weren't getting the desired result, so new meds were prescribed. As it turns out, the ENT has me on five new meds!! Of course, they aren't all ingested. One is an ampule I break open and put into my Navage with a salt water capsule to clean/treat my sinuses.
I also have two inhalers, and two new pills.
My pharmacy is WalMart in Batesburg SC. That is where I get all my non-VA-provided meds.
While I was at the ENT, they sent the prescription to both WalMart and the VA (which will take nearly two weeks to get them from the VA).
-
I left that office and trekked to Batesburg. It was interstate most of the way, but an additional 24 miles off the interstate. I saw countryside I had not seen before. Batesburg is 20 miles from Johnston and in the opposite direction from North Augusta.
Once there, I verified they had received the prescription, etc., and was asked to come back in 20 minutes. That was fine. I looked around, shopped a little. And when I got back they had two of the four meds I was hoping to pick up.
They needed a day to get the other two, so...another trip to Batesburg awaits me this day.
-
That boring story is done. It was my day yesterday, and I was too tired to write about it after getting back home.

No curb appeal

Want gravy with that?

Now that my day has started, let me apologize to anyone who came here, saw me posting and went away.
I don't have any guests looking on.
Ah, me!

Another op’nin’, etc.
This high school (aka “Teen”) edition of Chicago is a piece of work. It omits three entire songs and the entr’acte, makes cuts - large and small - in other songs, Mary Sunshine is there practically in name only, and the script itself seems to have had a machete taken to it. In this windy city, one is accused of seeing - not screwing - the milkman, and the rest falls pretty much along those lines. And though this other line is actually complete in the script, their director has them caught doing No. 17 - but not No. 17, the Spread Eagle. And so it goes.
All of that said, it’s a good gig, the kids are quite good, and even the orchestra is beautiful. We are ten, crammed into an interesting space. I will work on getting the required photographic evidence.

Best comment today: if Ted Cruz were a Ukrainian, he would be in Cancun by now.

So, no differentiation between fooling around and screwing around? But that’s educational material!

That's better than the high school version of A Chorus Line that I saw, where they revised "Dance: Ten; Looks: Three" and she sings "This and That" and says "You're looking at my this, aren't you?"

DR John where in Wyoming will you be staying? Keith and I love the Grand Tetons, which is why we have been there three times. Keith was there before I met him on a cross country teen tour. On our last trip we stayed in Jackson Hole for the first time.
-
That boring story is done. It was my day yesterday, and I was too tired to write about it after getting back home.
Not boring, however, I am exhausted reading about your day. I hope the new meds work and the doctor is pleased with the results.
-
DR GEORGE was talking about "this" and "that" and DR JANE was talking about the Grand Tetons.....
I found that amusing.
-
Rehearsal vibes for MR BK.
That sounds like quite a treasure box you received. I look forward to photographic evidence.
-
Have fun in the outskirts of CHICAGO DR CHAS SMITH.
-
I shall have to look around and listen to some baroque music.....I am woefully uneducated in such.
-
Our auction ended today in the lowest of five figures and with expenses and percentages for the auction house.....we will end up with a bit over 55%.
-
And that's okay! We didn't have to do anything.....and it's ALL gone!
-
I think there are some NCAA tournament games tonight.
-

I like the way your mind works.

We’ll have two home bases, one in Cheyenne and the other in Casper.

Eggggs-actly.
-
I'm up, I'm up - about seven-and-a-half hours of sleep.
-
The show those reprehensible senators put on for the cameras was nauseating and should not have been tolerated. Playing to their base base, plain and simple, campaigning inappropriately, raising money. Blatant and obvious every step of the way. Cruz and Graham are the worst of it - Hawley is just a moron.
-
I just electronicaly signed my tax returns. I will get quite a nice refund, but I have to pay my accountant and NY State, and that eats up a third of my refund. Oy!
-
Good news, DR elmore3003. Well, better than having a net loss, at any rate.

I am sure it is a relief to have it done.

Wyoming is a beautiful state even if you are not going to the Tetons ;)

BK, is this worth recording?

I groaned when Biden said he would appoint a black judge, not because she was black but because I felt by making that statement it would demean the abilities of the person he nominated.
Initially I didn't really have much of an opinion on Jackson though her credentials seemed fine. I now have a lot of respect for her.

Good afternoon.

Re the velociraptor:
We were watching a youtube video of the Raptor Encounter at Universal Studios.
-
I have a question:
Why doesn't the whole country go to Standard Time instead of Daylight Savings Time?
-
I have a question:
Why doesn't the whole country go to Standard Time instead of Daylight Savings Time?
Because too many people like the sunlight when they get home from work in the summer.
-
I have a question:

Because the Senate is stupid.

Sounds nice.
-
Yes DR JANE it is nice that it is all over except the handing over of the check.
I am sure we could not have gotten the same amount if we had had an in person auction....and I'm double sure we would have suffered a loss at a yard sale!
It's a 60/40 split, but they did a LOT of work, so I am pleased.
-
It's getting a bit cooler today and even colder this weekend but that's okay.

Money. Apparently people spend more money during the longer daylight hours.

The work they do is worth it. I hope you are not getting complaints regarding the delay in distributing the check. Truly the delay is standard procedure.

Enjoy your time there.

I love it.
-
Starting Run, Rose, Run, by Dolly Parton and James Patterson.
-
I hope you enjoy it. I doubt I will be reading it as I am not a Patterson fan. Still, I am curious about it.

Very good news, Larry!
-
Keith is popping corn, and I think my stomach can handle it tonight so he is making some for me :)
-
'night

:)
-
A nice thought when there is still snow predicted here for next week.
-
Otherwise, I got nothing.
-
FOUR.
-
:)
-
Good night, friends.

Staring a Ken Russell movie I'd never heard of called Savage Messiah. It's very Russell-ian. Is that the adjectival form?
-
A very young Helen Mirren apparently is the co-star. Dorothy Tutin and Scott Antony star.
-
Dance classes tonight were not fun. They weren't bad. I guess I was just bored.
-
The students seemed to have fun, and they appeared to learn.
-
Well, all but one, a gentleman who seems to have three right feet and not enough left feet to match.
-
But if he would practice, he'd get it. Maybe.
-
Gratuitous post 100!
-
The first few chapters of Run Rose Run are pure Dolly. I think the scene I liked the most was when she was searching for a rhyme for "crazy" and came up with "Martin Scorsese."
-
So far, the thriller part hasn't started yet.
-
And that's OK. The characters are charming.
-
I think I've had enough of Savage Messiah for the evening.
-
Good night, all.
-
:)

If it wasn't before, it is now.
-
The comedy show for which I ushered tonight was pretty fun, and the three guys were pretty funny.
-
The opener/MC Greg Beachler (https://www.instagram.com/gregbeachler/?hl=en) was probably the least funny of the three, but more because he paused too long between jokes and the laughter died down, as opposed to his jokes just not being funny. He was pretty funny.
-
The next guy was Chris Mejia (https://www.chrismejia.com/) and he was good, too.
-
The headliner was Chad Opitz (https://www.chadopitz.com/).
-
He had the longest set (being the headliner) and was the funniest.
-
Home from a VERY long day for me. One to six writing act one's light cues. This lighting guy is very good, but he's not proactive - I like to come in, see what the lighting person has done, and then finesse. Here, I'm telling him what to do and I am NOT a lighting designer and it's just exhausting.
-
I just realized that last night I posted that Mo Mandel was going to be the comedian that was going to usher for.
-
But it turns out that he's the headliner for next month's show which I more than likely won't get to see because I'll be in rehearsal for Mamma Mia!
-
Fine with me! :D
-
No one here.
-
I am sorry.
-
I am very tired.
-
PAGE FIVE!
-
Sasha is cuddled up next to me.
-
Buddy is on the upper shelf of the closet.
-
His favorite spot to nap.
-
He makes it look so comfortable, I considered trying it myself.
-
But he talked me out of it.
-
Damn! I got nothing.
-
CRANBERRIES!
-
I wonder out rehearsal went?
-
BK’s, not mine.
-
Because I don’t have one.
-
There is some rumbling about a possible project.
-
However, if that falls through, I am done with doing theatre.
-
Mrs. Clarence Thomas has turned out to be a shocker.
-
And I thought Clarence was the bad one in that family
-
Oh well, she has the right to her opinions.
-
Buddy is on the upper shelf of the closet.
Buddy is in the closet?? :o
-
;D
-
Because I don’t have one.
I will, starting Monday!
-
I'm pretty darned excited about it, too!
-
I'm getting more excited about my new car, too!
-
Still don't know exactly when it'll be delivered. :-\
-
Buddy is on the upper shelf of the closet.
Buddy is in the closet?? :o
Still.
-
I (still) just hope that it's sooner rather than later.
-
But it's supposed to arrive sometime next month...which is almost here!
-
Good night, George.
-
Good night, Tom.
-
Tomorrow night will be the first Friday night in four weeks that I play Phase 10 with my mom and her friends.
-
I'll play on Fridays until Mamma Mia has performances.
-
That won't have any Friday night rehearsals. :)
-
PAGE SIX MAMMA MIA! DANCE!!
-
Well, I hate to do it, but I need to go to sleep. I didn't sleep to well last night, and I want to get to work a little early, so I'm signing off now.
Have a good day tomorrow, all!
