Well, you've read the notes, the notes were lit, and now it is time for you to post until the lit cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: BASTION!
-
Good morning, all!
-
Yesterday seemed like a Friday, so I have no idea what today feels like.
-
I am hoping that Mrs Thomas' emails will result in her dumbass husband's resignation from the Supreme Court.
-
Good morning, all.
-
I can’t believe this week is finally coming to an end.
-
TOD:
I hope find time tor Belfast and House of Gucci.
-
Happy National Cocktail Day! Is it 5 o’clock yet?
-
I am hoping that Mrs Thomas' emails will result in her dumbass husband's resignation from the Supreme Court.
Considering he took measures to prevent information about her from being discovered by Congress, he should be impeached.
And yes, I still believe Anita Hill's accusations were true.
-
Good morning.
It is Friday. I knew it was going to be, although I briefly had a thought, upon getting out of bed, that it might be Saturday.
Then I remembered the things I need to do today, and tomorrow just flew out of my thoughts.
-
Happy National Cocktail Day! Is it 5 o’clock yet?
It's nowhere near, although you are closer now than when you asked.
-
For all you workers, job satisfaction must be a priority!
-
It's just me and zero guests again.
Woe! Oh, woe!
Not.
-
Good morning, friends.
-
~~~ULTRA VIBES~~~ for bk's cast and crew!!!!!!!!!
-
Strong vibes for MR BK & Co.....especially those stalwart cast members who carry on in the absence of the selfish, thoughtless, ME ME ME ones who don't bother to show up to rehearsal for ANY reason.
-
Have fun DR CHAS SMITH.....Lipschitz. Or is it Lipstick?
-
We have a house showing today at 3:15 p.m. I went over and swept the leaf buds off the porch, the steps, and the patio....
Turned on lights in the dining room, kitchen, front porch and hallway.....and pushed St Joseph down a little further into the flower pot.
-
DR JANE there are rumblings among them about $$$, but no one has spoken to use directly about it.....indirectly, yes.
We think we can mail a first payment next week.
-
Slow day at HHW.
I am going to bake some chicken patties......Purdue plays on CBS tonight.
-
I am glad they haven't bothered you directly. Have you been advised to keep the final payment back in case of unexpected taxes?
-
Good morning, all.
-
Today feels like a Saturday here, too. For me, it started with last night feeling like a Friday because that was our opening night. And then Nathan had something going on that had him leaving the house late this morning, so that made it feel like a Saturday.
-
In the meantime, I'm sitting here TURNING DOWN great little gigs for spring musicals that are coming in like crazy. In some cases, people have said yes to them and then cancelled -- which, unless you have a solid reason for doing so, is never a good idea. But whatever the reasons, I've had to say no to a couple of really good ones (great $$$ and working with decent people), and it's killing me.
-
TOD
Oy.
I've watched, like, nothing in what seems like forever. And the only listening I've been doing -- in the car -- is the shows I'm currently playing and those I'm about to begin rehearsing, to (1) learn them in the first place, and/or (2) lodge them solidly in my ear and brain.
-
Slow day at HHW.
I am going to bake some chicken patties......Purdue plays on CBS tonight.
There’s no groaning at HHW, but an exception might be made in this case.
-
Still on page 1?
-
It is a slow day.
-
Onward!
-
Two!
-
I am hoping that Mrs Thomas' emails will result in her dumbass husband's resignation from the Supreme Court.
There's always hope, but sadly I don't think anything will happen to either of them. :P
Hi, John.
-
Topic of the Day: the complete (with dialogue and everything!) Takarazuka cast recording of Promises, Promises (https://castalbums.org/recordings/Promises-Promises-2021-Takarazuka-Cast-Cosmos-Troupe/46638). ;D
-
Thatch is behaving like a little puppy this morning and not at all like a well-behaved, nonchalant, aloof proper pussycat. He comes when I call him, climbs all over me, plays with his toys for a bit, and then returns for more loving and pets. He's so cute.
-
I'm up, I'm up - could not fall asleep last night - so annoying - was in bed by two and laid there like so much fish until five-thirty. Got up for an hour, then back to bed and fell asleep, so maybe five hours total.
-
And why not?
-
I finally did something with many of my Fiesta medals from through the years. Fiesta starts next Friday, I think.
Exactly. :)
I understand there are already calls for his impeachment or resignation.
That's really cool, John!
-
That's a lot of swag, DR John G.! Looks great.
-
If they had rewarded you in FiestaWare, that would have been a whole extra room!
Exactly.
Thanks, George. I didn’t want to just toss them.
I just got notice from Amazon the my copy of Sondheim Unplugged, Volume 2 (https://smile.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B09T76Q2TY) has shipped!
When I was in college, why oh why did no one force me to take a few business courses?
-
Good afternoon!
Very nice DR JOHNG.
One can always hope for medical issues. Or something...
-
Fun...
The day, as it was, is done. I went to the post office, then stopped at 3rd Generation and got a plate of baked catfish, grits with cheese and a baked potato. After I ate, I drove to WalMart to pick up the remaining meds I needed to acquire.
The day has been beautiful.
Yes DR JANE. The CPA had our uncle's 2021 taxes finished today, so we sent off the checks for the state and federal taxes.....and the paper about money gifts that resulted in $0 in taxes was sent as well.
The only taxes due in 2022 will be the property taxes until we sell the final house and the income taxes due on the annuities which is the responsibility of ALL of the heirs in the will.
The CPA said a K-1 would be sent to all 24 of us and that it might increase our income by about $5000 - but the income from the annuity cashouts were rolled into the estate, so everyone has gotten their share.....considerably MORE than $5000.
Yes we have been instructed by our attorney to hold back a certain amount - and we have that amount + and of course the proceeds from the sale of the house.
So we plan a partial payout next week.....or ten days.
Then perhaps a second payout in the fall.....and then close the estate at the end of the year after ALL final debts are finished.
-
But of course my summer theatre work starts next week, so double duty after that......
-
Page Three!
I do not in any way wish to have been in your shoes regarding the estate issues, Jack. Just doing my mom's estate took a year or so, and there are still things I need to do but aren't pressing issues.
My cousin Debra had to deal with my Aunt Doris' estate issues after her death in November, and is now dealing my Uncle Rock's estate issues. Doris and Rock had separate accounts and separate annuities.
Debra made sure that all of Doris' annuities were assigned to Rock for however long he survived her. Then she had to notify everyone of his death and get things ready to be divided between her and her two brothers.
Don't know where it all stands, but she has worked her butt off on this, and she didn't have 24 others to contend with.
-
Which are each of you? :D
-
Has anyone heard this?
-
DR Jrand I forgot the house sale will be like money held back for extra's. Vibes it sells this year. Enjoy your first payout.
Yes, having others to contend with makes it more complicated. I am glad my brother handled it all when my father passed away. I also received constant updates from my brother letting me know what he was doing.
-
Has anyone heard this?
I have a copy. I enjoyed some of it. listened a few times. Don't remember it very well.
-
I'm glad the work day has ended. I got out to water in the backyard.
-
I wish I could eat kale. My wild plants are out of control. Enough to feel a family for a few days.
-
But it is kale.
-
This showed up in my Facebook feed from five years ago. A fine, fine day.
:))
-
Interested in watching Great Performances tonight - a documentary about Marin Alsop.
-
Hello, everyone.
-
Does kale conflict with a medication you are taking, DR John G.?
-
Today was acupuncture, then (vegan) fettuccine alfredo at Julie's.
-
The only other drug/food interaction I have heard of is with grapefruit in some circumstances.
It's still a great photo.
I finally did something with many of my Fiesta medals from through the years. Fiesta starts next Friday, I think.
Wow! That's a lot! I agree you shouldn't toss them and that's a clever way to display them.
-
DR Jeanne - hope you are feeling better and making progress.
-
I am hoping that Mrs Thomas' emails will result in her dumbass husband's resignation from the Supreme Court.
I'm glad to see her activist activities getting press. I don't think many people were aware of them. And people often do bend -- as in retire or get ill -- when under a lot of scrutiny.
-
Kale is actually an anagram for leak.
-
The Galloping Gourmet always used to say, "First, you take a leak..."
-
We had some snow flurries earlier. Now, the sky has cleared, but it's windy as all heck out there.
-
DR Jeanne - hope you are feeling better and making progress.
Thank you, Sing. I am much better and back to my normal exercise program and other activities.
-
Wow - that's great!
-
TOD:
Season 2 finale of THE BAY. I think this series needs a better title, but it's an engaging show.
-
We are close to finished the original run of Upstairs, Downstairs, so will be looking for another series.
-
Thanks for the suggestion, DR Jeanne.
-
Mega vibes to BK and cast and crew.
-
(FOUR)
-
Mega vibes to BK and cast and crew.
Yes; it sounds like they are really needing them.
-
Good weekend vibes to all.
TTFN.
-
If I couldn't commit to being there for the full process, I wouldn't audition.
-
Bye, DR Jeanne.
-
DR Jeanne - hope you are feeling better and making progress.
Thank you, Sing. I am much better and back to my normal exercise program and other activities.
Wonderful.
I will tell my brother he might want to watch this, if he can ever get it. Right now he can't. Who knows, we might even watch it.
-
Today was acupuncture, then (vegan) fettuccine alfredo at Julie's.
Interesting combination. I'm not sure I'd ever order it.
-
Gratuitous post 100!
-
"... ugly as a box of armpits."
Great line from "Run, Rose, Run."
-
;D
-
Wow, just received what we expected to be an annoying call with a pitch for money. Nope, just a call to say thank you for our donation. We are very impressed with Care International. We were already impressed with the work they do.
-
'night
-
Decided to watch Gambit tonight. Shirley MacLaine and Michael Caine. Looks fun.
-
It’s about all I can handle.
-
Good night, friends.
-
I couldn’t take much of Gambit.
-
So, I did dishes. There were more than a few.
-
I also started a cake that I'll finish in the morning.
-
It's time for bed, though.
-
And I am ready to turn in.
-
Good night, all.
-
Back from another LONG day and an exhausting one. More in the notes, but heaven forbid ONE day should go by without some drama - tonight's was one of my two really solid gals in the show, well, her grandfather died today, but then was resuscitated but isn't doing well, so she was a wreck tonight, although she did the run-through and never let it show. But because the big monologue at the end of the show involves a character dying, I think that hit her hard. Well, hopefully we'll get her through next week and then she'll have five days off.
Aren’t you afraid someone will make an offer on the flower pot?
-
Another slow day.
-
Is someone on vacation?
-
Has anyone quit in a huff?
-
Has slingblade forgotten how to type?
-
Page 5
-
I am basically alone here.
-
Oh, there are two Guests, but they ain’t talkin’.
-
:)
Or the Virgin Mary. Hey, she was a Jewish mother.
-
Kale is actually an anagram for leak.
Kale is also a synonym for s**t.
-
I had bad mac-and-cheese for food - from The Federal, where it's usually great. Just flavorless and there is not a single ounce of salt at the theater. I ate it but it was just barely okay - about four or five ounces I'd say. So, after we wrapped our rehearsal, I stopped at Subway and got a spicy Eyetalian sandwich, came home, and ate it - that was very good.
-
Kale spelled backward is elak.
-
I'd ask where George is but we all know he's playing Phase 23 or whatever it is, but he really must get home in time to post.
-
Fun...
We played three games and I won two of them! :D
BK, have you ever had this many problems with any other show?
Mine, too! My rehearsals for Mamma Mia! start on Monday! ;D
Still a great picture. :)
Today the entire Northwest paid their respects to a Pierce County sheriff deputy who was shot and killed last week. He was laid to rest after the service.
-
This afternoon, an Everett police officer was shot and killed.
-
The only other drug/food interaction I have heard of is with grapefruit in some circumstances.
I have a medication that prevents me from having grapefruit anymore. I love grapefruit.
-
This afternoon, an Everett police officer was shot and killed.
Oh, no. :(
-
We are close to finished the original run of Upstairs, Downstairs, so will be looking for another series.
My parents used to love that show. I watched a few episodes myself and kind of got into it, but not enough to watch the whole series.
-
If I couldn't commit to being there for the full process, I wouldn't audition.
Exactly! :-\ I don't understand how some people (a Stephen Sondheim reference!) think that that's acceptable in any way.
-
Decided to watch Gambit tonight. Shirley MacLaine and Michael Caine. Looks fun.
I loved that movie! I haven't seen it in years, but I just got the brand new Blu-ray release, so we'll see how I feel about it now. ;)
