I am hoping that Mrs Thomas' emails will result in her dumbass husband's resignation from the Supreme Court.

Considering he took measures to prevent information about her from being discovered by Congress, he should be impeached.

And yes, I still believe Anita Hill's accusations were true.

Good morning.

It is Friday.  I knew it was going to be, although I briefly had a thought, upon getting out of bed, that it might be Saturday.

Then I remembered the things I need to do today, and tomorrow just flew out of my thoughts.

We have a house showing today at 3:15 p.m.  I went over and swept the leaf buds off the porch, the steps, and the patio....

Turned on lights in the dining room, kitchen, front porch and hallway.....and pushed St Joseph down a little further into the flower pot.

Today feels like a Saturday here, too. For me, it started with last night feeling like a Friday because that was our opening night. And then Nathan had something going on that had him leaving the house late this morning, so that made it feel like a Saturday.

In the meantime, I'm sitting here TURNING DOWN great little gigs for spring musicals that are coming in like crazy. In some cases, people have said yes to them and then cancelled -- which, unless you have a solid reason for doing so, is never a good idea. But whatever the reasons, I've had to say no to a couple of really good ones (great $$$ and working with decent people), and it's killing me.

Oy.

I've watched, like, nothing in what seems like forever. And the only listening I've been doing -- in the car -- is the shows I'm currently playing and those I'm about to begin rehearsing, to (1) learn them in the first place, and/or (2) lodge them solidly in my ear and brain.

Thatch is behaving like a little puppy this morning and not at all like a well-behaved, nonchalant, aloof proper pussycat.  He comes when I call him, climbs all over me,  plays with his toys for a bit, and then returns for more loving and pets. He's so cute.

Yes DR JANE.  The CPA had our uncle's 2021 taxes finished today, so we sent off the checks for the state and federal taxes.....and the paper about money gifts that resulted in $0 in taxes was sent as well.

The only taxes due in 2022 will be the property taxes until we sell the final house and the income taxes due on the annuities which is the responsibility of ALL of the heirs in the will.

The CPA said a K-1 would be sent to all 24 of us and that it might increase our income by about $5000 - but the income from the annuity cashouts were rolled into the estate, so everyone has gotten their share.....considerably MORE than $5000.

Yes we have been instructed by our attorney to hold back a certain amount - and we have that amount + and of course the proceeds from the sale of the house.

So we plan a partial payout next week.....or ten days.
Then perhaps a second payout in the fall.....and then close the estate at the end of the year after ALL final debts are finished.

I do not in any way wish to have been in your shoes regarding the estate issues, Jack.  Just doing my mom's estate took a year or so, and there are still things I need to do but aren't pressing issues.

My cousin Debra had to deal with my Aunt Doris' estate issues after her death in November, and is now dealing my Uncle Rock's estate issues.  Doris and Rock had separate accounts and separate annuities.

Debra made sure that all of Doris' annuities were assigned to Rock for however long he survived her.  Then she had to notify everyone of his death and get things ready to be divided between her and her two brothers.

Don't know where it all stands, but she has worked her butt off on this, and she didn't have 24 others to contend with.

Back from another LONG day and an exhausting one. More in the notes, but heaven forbid ONE day should go by without some drama - tonight's was one of my two really solid gals in the show, well, her grandfather died today, but then was resuscitated but isn't doing well, so she was a wreck tonight, although she did the run-through and never let it show. But because the big monologue at the end of the show involves a character dying, I think that hit her hard. Well, hopefully we'll get her through next week and then she'll have five days off.

We have a house showing today at 3:15 p.m.  I went over and swept the leaf buds off the porch, the steps, and the patio....

Turned on lights in the dining room, kitchen, front porch and hallway.....and pushed St Joseph down a little further into the flower pot.

Aren’t you afraid someone will make an offer on the flower pot?

Kale is actually an anagram for leak.

Kale is also a synonym for s**t.

I had bad mac-and-cheese for food - from The Federal, where it's usually great. Just flavorless and there is not a single ounce of salt at the theater. I ate it but it was just barely okay - about four or five ounces I'd say. So, after we wrapped our rehearsal, I stopped at Subway and got a spicy Eyetalian sandwich, came home, and ate it - that was very good.

I'd ask where George is but we all know he's playing Phase 23 or whatever it is, but he really must get home in time to post.

Today the entire Northwest paid their respects to a Pierce County sheriff deputy who was shot and killed last week.  He was laid to rest after the service.

The only other drug/food interaction I have heard of is with grapefruit in some circumstances.

I have a medication that prevents me from having grapefruit anymore.  I love grapefruit.

We are close to finished the original run of Upstairs, Downstairs, so will be looking for another series.

My parents used to love that show.  I watched a few episodes myself and kind of got into it, but not enough to watch the whole series.

If I couldn't commit to being there for the full process, I wouldn't audition.

Exactly! :-\ I don't understand how some people (a Stephen Sondheim reference!) think that that's acceptable in any way.
