Well, you've read the notes, the notes were productively productive, and now it is time for you to post until the productively productive cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: AGGLUTINATIVE!
Smoke on your pipe and put that in.
-
And now - Dino at the piano.
-
Good morning to everyone. I hope everyone has a fabulous day.
-
Good morning, all!
-
It wasn't a bad night of sleeo, but it was a very restless night. No dreams that I can remember.
-
DR TCB, no, I doubt I will purchase the new recordng of The Fantasticks. I have several ofv them already, none of which will ever replace my memories of the first prduction I saw in late August 1964, at the age of seventeen and a week before I left for college. The production used actors who had been replacements off-Broadway and it was directed by Word Baker, gthe show's original director.

So I assume it was a dream

In any event the voice stopped when I opened my eyes

Hopefully today will bring some answers on Vixdad’s condition

Good luck DR ELMORE! They are there to help you!

DR CHAS SMITH I am too dense to get the mustard/Room 101 reference.....if you can explain it to me, I promise I won't ask again.

Ouch!

Good morning!

DR CHAS SMITH I am too dense to get the mustard/Room 101 reference.....if you can explain it to me, I promise I won't ask again.
Sorry, DR Jrand71! It was a bit of a stretch, but it's all I had. The reference was to "Room 101" in 1984; i.e., "for some people it's rats; for others, it's Dijon mustard."

OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.......that part of my brain must have been fried during the radiation......of course......
-
I am cooking some chicken breasts to make a chicken/pasta salad that will probably last me the rest of the week.
-
Last night after work, I met my friend Shelly at the local Pellegrino's Restaurant (https://pellegrinositaliankitchen.com/) because it was her cousin Shannon's birthday.
-
Another neighbor friend Meri was there too, and the four of us had a grand time eating Italian food.
-
I had a dish called the Tour of Italy, which includes samples of fettuccini Alfredo, chicken parmesan, and cheese tortellini.
-
It was much too good, and I ate much too much...meaning ALL of it! ;D
-
We were there for a couple of hours and had to leave when they closed at 8:00.
-
I then went to Fred Meyer and did a little shopping.
-
When I got home, I put my stuff away, went up to my bedroom and was just going to lay down for a bit, but I totally fell asleep and now need to get to work.
Have a good day, all!

From George:
It's all about carbs...lower your carb intake (in any form) and lower your A1C
Why I am eating yogurt and blueberries instead of having cereal for breakfast.
-
I like to freeze the blueberries then microwave them to release the juices before stirring them into the yogurt. To my shock, these blueberries are green inside which doesn't look very appetizing.
-
From George:
Plain yogurt in general is low in carbs. It's all the sugars, even from natural fruits, that make it detrimental to one's blood glucose level.
I keep reading berries are the fruit to eat. I have to have something in the plain yogurt.
-
DR TCB, interesting comments on Elliot-thanks.
-
From TCB:
Jane, there was an article at the end of last week that said you shouldn’t worry about the expiration date on those tests. They had to print something on the side of the box, but they had no idea how long they would be good, so they just printed a random date.
I will keep that in mind.
-
Hopefully today will bring some answers on Vixdad’s condition

I'm up, I'm up - almost eight hours of sleep.
-
Rainy day all day.....did not have to turn on the air conditioning....gloomy so my new solar lights will certainly night be glowing tonight.
-
The book looks great....
-
My question for ASK BK DAY:
Did you save your scripts from your television appearances?
-
I agree that the book looks great.
-
My chicken pasta salad turned out okay - but it certainly pales next to DR GEORGE's Tour of Italy.
-
No rehearsal for me tonight - so I get to stay home and watch the hockey game.....Rangers vs. Hurricanes.
-
Thanks, JRand, for mentioning chicken salad. I made some up tonight to take to work on Friday and Monday. I have to start thinking of meals like that.
-
The cafeteria food, which used to be decent, is now deplorable.
-
Stopped watching a Claude Rains drama called They Won't Forget about the racist South. Not what I was in the mood for.
-
So, now I'm starting on a movie called Last Looks. But it's not starting on the right note.
-
The cafeteria food, which used to be decent, is now deplorable.
I am surprised it is still open.
-
Several of the cafeterias are open, but more than half are still closed.
-
I forgot how big your workplace is.
-
And I think I heard the Subway in the bank building is the only franchise (besides Starbucks) still open, but the line is about 30 minutes long, from what I hear.
-
I forgot how big your workplace is.
The main building is larger than the Pentagon.

Too long.

I was hoping to see DR Vixmom before signing off for the night.
-
I will wait a few more minutes.

Hopefully there will be encouraging news.

I had a dish called the Tour of Italy, which includes samples of fettuccini Alfredo, chicken parmesan, and cheese tortellini.
At a San Francisco ristorante in North Beach, many years ago, I ordered a dish called Tricolore, which is the name of the Italian flag. It had spaghetti with tomato sauce, linguine alfredo, and fettucine pesto. It was delicious. It was served on a platter with the colors separated like on the flag.
-
It's time for me to go to bed, too.
Early morning activities, including a 37-minute drive to the VA physical therapist.

Tonight was the final rehearsal before the Oz extravaganza on Sunday. The kids are really cute. I have to dig out a pretty outfit. That's green.

What brand of mayo do they serve at the Mayo Clinic?

Gratuitous post 101!

Just finished updating my resume, a job I loathe.
-
Has it cooled off at all there, DR John G.?
-
Last Looks turned out to be not half bad, not half good. But fast and enjoyable.
-
A funny story about resumes. I applied several times for the job I have now, but never even got an interview. Then I learned that the state uses software to scan resumes. So the next time the job came open, I wrote a from-scratch resume, winding in all of the phrases from the posted job description.
And, lo and behold - I got the interview and got the job. Even though my qualifications had not changed.
-

Cooled off to 85 degrees at 9:48 p.m.

Yikes!
-

It does, indeed. As does the dish you ordered.

It's true. Our place works the same way. In this case, the company reached out to me based on my resume on LinkedIn, which I realized is out of date.

Do you have any mid-week brush up rehearsals during your run, DR George?
-

Green was my valley.
I should have worn green.

Moving on.

Five!

Good night, friends.

It was...but I really should've saved at least half of it for later. It was too much to eat at one sitting.
-
Good night, friends.
Good night, Singdaw.
-
Performance vibes for this whole weekend, George.
-
Starting a based-on-true-events story called Oranges and Sunshine. It's about scores of children in the British foster system who were sent to Australia. The kids were individually told their mother was dead. Meanwhile, a religious order abused the children. It took a social worker to help some of them find their families and do some healing.
-
Performance vibes for this whole weekend, George.
Thanks, John!

Well, this is a pretty cool article...Disney Songwriters* Wrote Ringo Starr’s Final No. 1 Song (https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/disney-songwriters-wrote-ringo-starrs-final-no-1-song.html/).
*The songwriters being the Sherman Brothers! :)

I've sold a few of my scripts over the years, but I still have a lot of scripts left.
-
Very peculiar day, but a good one in many ways.
-
More about that in the notes.
-
You remember the notes.
-
Good night, all.
-
Tomorrow night, we (potentially) have our first performance after cancelling an entire weekend.
-
HOPEFULLY, nothing goes wrong!!
-
Unlike The Play That Goes Wrong. ;)
-
Speaking of...Theater Artists Olympia and Broadway Olympia Productions will be presenting The One-Act Play That Goes Wrong in August!
-
This will be TAO's first show in QUITE a few years!
-
It was a few years before the Covid shut-down that TAO "took an extended break." ::)
-
But we're back, baby!
-
The show was just cast and is supposed to go up in August!
-
I'll be running the sound board.
-
Can't wait for that!
-
I need to leave work an hour early tomorrow so that I can get to the theater early enough for my Covid test.
-
They've tested only at the beginning of each week, so this will be the last one that I'll need to take for a while.
-
I'll be running the sound board.
When do you start working on the show at OLT?
-
I am worried that vixmom didn’t check back in this evening after she left the hospital.
-
And I think I heard the Subway in the bank building is the only franchise (besides Starbucks) still open, but the line is about 30 minutes long, from what I hear.
Couldn’t you call your order into Subway, and then just pick it up at lunch time?
-

BK, it must be quite a thrill to hold a book you wrote in your own hands. I got very emotional just looking at that photo.
-
I'll be running the sound board.
When do you start working on the show at OLT?
I don't have any OLT shows in the future. I just did one back in March, though.
-
Hi, Tom.
-
I keep hoping that Kevin will let us know how his sister and her friends and neighbors are dealing with the mass shooting in Buffalo.
