I am hoping for a better day today all around.
Which reminds me of the delightful tale of The Randy Vicar and the Extension Cord.
Vibes appreciated even this early in the process.
It means I will be worrying and stressing for the next seven weeks and will lose hours of sleep....but that's okay.
I knew the job was dangerous when I took it. I just thought maybe someone else would audition for the role.....but that person never showed up.....a conflict arose. He planned a trip that could have been taken any other time this summer, but it is during one of the performance weekends.
And now that I have completed my evening ablutions, may I present my latest millstone! ;D

Nice interview with Danny Burstein.
It's going to be 106 today. That's hot for May. Or any time.
Elmore, I sent you an email.

I just got my first blurb!
"We're always wondering what goes through the minds of cats. They'd have to be influenced by the people they live with, right? Well, then -- no wonder that those curious felines ANNABELLE AND THATCH turn out to be interested -- nay, possessed -- by musical theater. What else could happen when they live with Larry Moore, the Broadway orchestrator par excellence. Now we see that Moore can orchestrate words with the same style and flair he's brought to music. ANNABELLE AND THATCH is as much fun as a hit Broadway musical -- and you know how good those can be."
-- Peter Filichia, Broadway Radio.
LOTS of fun links already today.
Elmore, I sent you an email.
Yes! I got it. Annabelle & Thatch send their thanks.

I went back to bed and slept a bit more.
Thanks to everyone for the theeder vibes. I have to remember that you solve the problems one at a time. It's easier that way.

Today would have been Mom and Dad’s 70th anniversary.

I'm going to the dentist. Fingers crossed I don't need more than a cleaning and x-rays.
Haven’t seen the fox again, but I did see a hawk making lazy circles in the sky.

Very strong dental vibes for Jane!
What kind of pie today? Am thinking lemon meringue, but I am easily swayed.
Pecan. Or peach.
It's not as hot here. We're having some weird front this week, which brought high winds yesterday and nice temps this morning.
He ate it. Then practically chased me around the house, meowing for more.
Chased me around some more.
I went to a nursery, but they didn't have any plants. Only seeds. So he's going to have to wait a while for any more.
Dentist vibes for DR JANE.
I went with lemon meringue. It was so huge that I brought half of it with me.
DR FREDDIE I think either spelling is acceptable.
I took one sample for me and one for Keith and then ate them all.
I shall soon be on the way for the first blocking rehearsal.
I hope Leonard won't need an intervention.

They had samples of these.

The Bluebonnet Cafe in Marble Falls has been in operation since 1929 and is known for its pies. So, I have made two pilgrimages.

They are so good.
And more pie!
My lemon meringue, as it arrived, with meringue slightly askew.
FIVE!

Hi, folks. I'm still alive. :)
We should be able to turn in the keys on the old apartment tomorrow, so the move is almost done.
It's been a roller coaster, however.
The Xfinity technician just left, and we now have Internet and television again. :o
I will have to forage for dinner. We don't have a working dishwasher yet.
What went wrong is a story for another time.
Congrats, Lord G, on your posting proclivity!
And now that I have completed my evening ablutions, may I present my latest millstone! ;D
Congratulations, George, on your impressive millstone!
I listened to the first two chapters of Annabelle & Thatch yesterday and made a few notes I'd like to continue today, but I need to review a score from my student Joe to be ready for our meeting this afternoon.
Today would have been Mom and Dad’s 70th anniversary.
Congratulations, George.

Wonderful story! thanks for the link, John.
Skip's shows in the 1990s seem to have had something that first brought married couples together. Danny met Rebecca for the first time during "Time and Again" at the Old Globe in San Diego (though they didn't start dating until a bit later). Howard McGillin first met his now-spouse at a reading of "Time and Again." And Bill Parry met Maureen Silliman during the run of Skip's show "Blanco" at Goodpeed.
I just got my first blurb!

So beautiful! And what timing! I was just about to send Danny A&T for a blurb.
Our "Mack the Knife" parody YouTube includes, at 2:15 into the video, a shout-out to Peter Filichia
- in the section where the real Bobby Darin version name-checks folks like Lotte Lenya and Jenny Diver and Lucy Brown.
When I sent the link to Peter, he responded that he's OK with getting the shout-out.

Congrats to DR GEORGE on his millstone.
If anyone besides me was mystified at why "HBO Max" had decided to become just "MAX" - maybe they wondered, too, because it's becoming "HBO Max" again.

Keith got Wordle in three.

The audiobook of Ron Chernow’s bio of Mark Twain is 45 hours long.
I just scratched my ear.
Got a partial modern major miracle today - very helpful, and if we can get another today or tomorrow that will be amazing and make life ever so much more pleasant.
Maybe I'll watch My Favorite Year.
There's a new smash burger jernt in the City of Studio - I may drive there tomorrow and see what's what - literally right next door to our old Varese Sarabande offices.
