It's going to be 106 today. That's hot for May. Or any time.

Yikes! :o Hope you survived it, John!

Nice interview with Danny Burstein.

Wonderful story!  thanks for the link, John.

Skip's shows in the 1990s seem to have had something that first brought married couples together.  Danny met Rebecca for the first time during "Time and Again" at the Old Globe in San Diego (though they didn't start dating until a bit later).  Howard McGillin first met his now-spouse at a reading of "Time and Again."  And Bill Parry met Maureen Silliman during the run of Skip's show "Blanco" at Goodpeed.

Matchmaker, matchmaker, make me a match... ;D

I just got my first blurb!
"We're always wondering what goes through the minds of cats. They'd have to be influenced by the people they live with, right? Well, then -- no wonder that those curious felines ANNABELLE AND THATCH turn out to be interested -- nay, possessed -- by musical theater. What else could happen when they live with Larry Moore, the Broadway orchestrator par excellence. Now we see that Moore can orchestrate words with the same style and flair he's brought to music. ANNABELLE AND THATCH is as much fun as a hit Broadway musical -- and you know how good those can be."
-- Peter Filichia, Broadway Radio.

That is so cool!  Congrats, Larry!

Nice interview with Danny Burstein.

So beautiful! And what timing!  I was just about to send Danny A&T for a blurb.

Good luck with getting Danny's blub!

Our "Mack the Knife" parody YouTube includes, at 2:15 into the video, a shout-out to Peter Filichia
- in the section where the real Bobby Darin version name-checks folks like Lotte Lenya and Jenny Diver and Lucy Brown.

When I sent the link to Peter, he responded that he's OK with getting the shout-out.

If anyone besides me was mystified at why "HBO Max" had decided to become just "MAX" - maybe they wondered, too, because it's becoming "HBO Max" again.

When they changed it to just MAX, I wondered if people would confuse it with the already existing Cinemax.

Hope it went well!!

My lemon meringue, as it arrived, with meringue slightly askew.

That's a lot of meringue. :)

I also liked this scene in the open kitchen: bacon!

Jane, shield your eyes!

We should be able to turn in the keys on the old apartment tomorrow, so the move is almost done.

Yay!

Thanks for the vibes.....the first blocking rehearsal went well.....tomorrow we will add the third person in the scene and then we will be done with Act One Scene One.

Wee added a few bits and smoothed it out as we went along and then ran it about four times....

And we got a living room furniture down from the props loft and it looks very nice.  It was donated to us several years ago and all three pieces have never been onstage together....I think one piece made its debut a season ago.

It looks very nice and apropos.

Watched one motion picture. A new one. Horror movie whose trailer made it look like it was fun. I like certain ones like M3GAN and Orphan, etc. Well, this is not a horror film at all, despite how they were trying to sell it and even though Stephen King called it one of the best movies of this year, so far. Not really saying that much, though. It's a very depressing and  ugly movie about old folks and one who torments everyone. I suppose you could call that horror, but it's just ugly and unpleasant to watch elder abuse even by another elder. Actors are all very good - John Lithgow, Geoffrey Rush are the stars.

I hate when they don't sell things properly, and they always pay the price for lying like that - this film was a huge bomb.
