Well, you've read the notes, the notes had waxy nostalgic buildup, and now it is time for you to post until the waxy cows come home in a taxi after sending a faxy.
-
And the word of the day is: JUBILATION!
-
T. Cornpone.
-
And now - Dino at the piano.

Playing the music of the spheres.

Break-a-leg vibes for tonight's Kritzerland show!

George, that was most enjoyable donut talk in yesterday's posts!

John G wrote last night: "London revival of Bat Out of Hell to be filmed. What next? We Will Rock You?"
Thanks for the alert, John! Could be a reason to try to re-plug our Bat Out of Hell parody song, one of my favorites of the Jan Horvath parody vocals. (Also, recalling that in 2019 when Bat Out of Hell played in New York, $249 was considered a very high ticket price - look where prices have gone since then!)

Good morning, all!
-
Mirabile dictu! Last night I slept straight through the night: eight hours. I still cannot believe it.
-
DR John G, my favorite Greenaway film is The Cook, the Thief, his Wife and her Lover, but I find his films, like you, pretentious with beautiful color, design, and photography. I liked much of Prospero's Books, but I detested the Nyman score. The first time I heard about Greenaway was when The Draughtsman's Contract; it had a great cast and I still don't know what was going on.
-
I've also seen A Zed & Two Naughts (yawn), The Belly of an Architect (yawn), and The Baby of Macon, which was so offensive it couldn't get a US distributor with its mix of religion, violence, and nudity, and a finale in which Julia Ormond is gang-banged to death.
-
Today I'm aiming to get through the second cue. I'm really enjoying this job.
-
Good morning, all.
-
I took a Benadryl for both allergy drying-up and sleep last night, which worked, but I'm moving a bit slow right now. In exactly one hour I must shower and go out and play a voice lesson.
-
Vibes for a superb Kritzerland show tonight!

I couldn’t make it through Belly of an Architect, though I really like Brian Dennehy. I’ll pass on Macon.

A ditto dose.
-
Good morning, friends.

And others.

Thanks for answering my question last night, DR MichaelG!

~~~ULTRA VOICE & SHOW VIBES~~~ for BK and the Kritzerland Kompany tonight!!!
Ditto! ! !
Notes heaved. Believed.
-
Show vibes for MR BK & Co.
I also liked all the shows mentioned in today's notes.
I didn't like The Roy Rogers Show for one reason:
Pat Brady.
-
It’s time
-
Good morning.
-
Toi toi toi for tonight's Kritzerland show!
-
From DR Rodzinski:
She wrote me a check, and by the time I got home she had her girl assistant call to tell me my services were no longer needed. The check did clear at least.
That was a relief. I hope you quickly found a better job.
-
From DR MichaelG:
It barely made it to 70 today. This is unusually cool weather for this time of year. The papers say we're on track to have the coolest summer (thermally, not socially) since 1965.
Wow.
-
DR George, I fortunately am not tempted by cream doughnuts.
;D I will not disagree.
Gabby Hayes was a better comic sidekick.
-
Or Leo Carrillo as Pancho in The Cisco Kid.
-
Or Andy Devine in Adventures of Wild Bill Hickok.
I'm up, I'm up - nine hours of good sleep.
Agree with all three DR JANE.
Just watched a documentary about The Z Channel.
I think MR BK has mentioned it before. Interesting.
I have shaved. Meanwhile, the luddite known as Doug Haverty can't get the PayPal buttons to work so we can get the book page live. He is hopeless - living in the 20th century where everything is HTML. Anytime PayPal makes a change he can never figure it out.
-
I told him to try and make a QR code for just this book - that way people can pay that way, I think.
Just watched a documentary about The Z Channel.
I think MR BK has mentioned it before. Interesting.
I've seen that. Maybe I even own it. If I'm remembering correctly, the documentary makers weren't able to acquire or use actual clips from the channel itself. Openings, closings, "bumpers", that sort of thing. Or maybe I'm thinking of something else. But I do love documentary material on all of that stuff from that era.
-
I shall shortly be on my way to the club for soundcheck.
Have a great show, BK.
So, a couple of days ago, I was at the local Fred Meyer, and in front of their electronics section, they had some TVs set up on a counter, most of which were on sale.
-
They had a few that said "Display models 50% off." There was one front and center that had that sign on it. The regular price was $449.99, and the normal sale price was $309.99.
-
Wow. He chose a great pseudonym for you.
-
But when I asked, the 50% sale is off the base price of $449.99, which brought it down to $225 (plus tax), which is still a good price.
-
On a whim, I bought it! It's a 65-inch, 4K TV! Even though it's a display model and didn't come with a box, it did have the remote and user's manual.
Did you not already have a TV big enough for others to watch?
-
We currently only have a TV I’ve had for about 15 years, but it’s only used for gaming.
-
It’s called a Google TV which pre-dated the platform of the same name. It was a Sony TV that had access to Google. It flopped pretty quickly, so I got it for cheap. Still functioning.
I do already have a couple, but they're upstairs (and I'm not the most fastidious cleaner), so this is for public viewing in my for-the-most-part-kept-clean-for-others living room.
Marcello Mio is an odd movie. Chiara Mastroianni assumes the personality and identity of her father, whom she resembles. People like her mother, Catherine Deneuve, play themselves. It’s a very inside joke and not always a funny one.
I had enough of Marcelo for the night. It got really weird when she/he started talking about having an affair with Faye Dunaway and later Catherine Deneuve. The conversation was with the man Deneuve was married to when she had the affair. Too meta for mio.
The show was indeed wonderful.
Could not have been better, actually.
But only fifty-three paying people - thirty comps - I can't do that ever again - I lost money for the first time at Catalina. Not doing that again. I don't know what's going on - maybe people just don't want to go places anymore. But I have people I've called friends for many years who have never seen a single show of ours - I think I'm done with those people, frankly, and frankly I think I'll let them know it.
