Well, you've read the notes, the notes told you the real meaning of AI, and now it is time for you to post until the AI cows come home. They think AI is an udder disgrace.
-
And the word of the day is: COAX!

Good morning, all!
-
It's around 47 degrees F in the apartment this morning, so my first chore is to close the window. I slept okay, with two chilly cats at my side.
-
DR vixmom, I'm so happy to see you! I'm very sorry about your ma's broken bones.
-
Well, the Fat Orange Slug lost the Nobel Prize. Pity.
-
Good morning, all.
-
I think we got down to 34, or maybe to 32. We'll get up to 62 today, 66 tomorrow. And then on Monday, another damned storm. Time for a nor'easter.
-
That is absolutely bizarre, the publishing company's reaction to a memoir.
-
I probably posted this, but several months ago, or sometime last year, I watched The Americanization of Emily for my first time. Why I had never gone to see it in its day is unknown, but what a wonderful late discovery it was.
-
Vixmom, did I read that right? How do they miss seeing broken bones? Vibes for her swift recovery!
-
Well, the Fat Orange Slug lost the Nobel Prize. Pity.
Whew! That felt closer than it should have been somehow.
-
More health vibes of all kinds for the Mom of vixmom.

BK, on top of your doing all that editing work as a favor, it's so great for her and her husband that they have you running interference for them on getting the book out into the world.
If they make money on the book, hoping they'll have you share in what they earn in some way - you deserve at least that!
-
Good morning, friends.

Nice to see DR vixmom here last night.

AI or as Secretary of Educashun Linda MacMahon calls it: A-1.
-
It is 45 degrees headed for 69 degrees.
I'll take it.
-
I was a bit afraid as DR FREDDIE wrote - that the headline would tell us Dump had won the Nobel Piss Prize - as he called it in the fall.
Thank you, committee.
"Democracy is in retreat" says the winner. And HE is the retreatee.....although she may have just meant in her country....

More opening night vibes for MichaelG!

Maybe fill up part of page 2 with some more Noel Coward quotes? - to go along with his having written to Gertrude Lawrence "A warm hand on your opening!"
-
"She stopped the show – but then the show wasn't traveling very fast."
-
Good advice for comedy:
"In the first act, you get the audience's attention - once you have it, they will repay you in the second. Play through the laughs if you have to. It will only make the audience believe there are so many of them that they missed a few."
-
"You ask my advice about acting? Speak clearly, don't bump into the furniture and if you must have motivation, think of your pay packet on Friday."
-
"I will accept anything in the theatre . . . provided it amuses or moves me. But if it does neither, I want to go home."
-
"Work hard, do the best you can, don't ever lose faith in yourself and take no notice of what other people say about you."
-
Yes, a big opening night is upon us.
Break 'em VIBES for DR MichaelG.!
-
"It's no use to go and take courses in playwriting any more than it's much use taking courses in acting. Better play to a bad matinee in Hull – it will teach you much more than a year of careful instruction. Come to think of it, I never did play to a good matinee in Hull . . ."

Signing vibes for DR JOHN G.
-
Friday morning greetings! We went to visit our grandchildren last week, came back on Sunday, and I’ve been on the go every day since. Last commitment was yesterday afternoon when we had our flu and Covid shots. We kept our calendars clear in case of reactions, but so far, so good. I’m still looking forward to a few quiet days at home.
-
Vibes for DR Vixmom’s Mom!
-
From DR John:
(http://Jamie Lee Curtis, Tom Selleck and George Clooney in a reboot of Murder, She Wrote. I can hardly wait for the guest stars.)
I only knew about Curtis.
-
From DR Vixmom:
The short story is Mom fell broke a couple of ribs and her sternum.
The longer story involves the fact that I had her at the ER twice in a week and it was seven days between the visits and it was the second visit when they actually realized that the original ct scan was misread and she had all these broken bones
The long story makes this all worse, along with extra suffering for your mother.
-
Best wishes and vibes that your mother is getting excellent care at the rehab facility.
-
Vibes of comfort to you DR Vixmom.
-
Thanks George.

This afternoon is a TCM day.

A “Take the Car to Mishawaka” day?
-
Some jokes play better when they land on the same page as the post one was responding to…
-
Nevertheless, here we are on page 3. Swift as eagles.
-
If BK’s nervy publisher’s middle manager only knew the things he had the author excise or tone down!
-
BK publisher: “We don’t do tell-all books, only tell-some books.”
-
I'm up, I'm up - almost eight hours of good sleep.
-
No call from content lady - I'll wait till one and then alert them. Yes, I did remove stuff in her book and absolutely toned down a couple of things - but it's still raunchy and very her.

Thanks for all the opening night vibes! I'm baking some ginger snaps for the party afterwards.
-
Last night's movie, The Eagle and the Hawk, was really intense. This might have been my first time seeing Fredric March in a starring role, and he was outstanding.
-
Thanks for all the opening night vibes! I'm baking some ginger snaps for the party afterwards.
Uum. Have a great evening.

Never heard a peep. Higher up said they'll run the book by their attorney - my response was an attorney's job is to find problems. None of my books have ever gone through ANY of this. I told him I'd wait till Monday but I see no path forward with AH, they've made me look bad with my friend, and that at this point either we do it or we don't and if it's the latter then refund her immediately and we'll just do the softcover with KDP on Amazon - of course, that means Doug has to redo the cover and spine, drop in a bar code, and we have to redo the copyright page.
-
LUCKY #110
-
Sorry about the publisher, BK. What utter nonsense.
-
It's what happens when a company outsources to Malaysia.
-
I know my people at the company are trying to make it work. They e-mail me immediately, always. Once you give in on this kind of stupidity, everyone is going to suffer - there is NO giving in - not one word or name. First of all, one of the come-ons of any print on demand company is that the AUTHOR remains in control of the content. Oops.
-
I sat down to erase old voicemails that I never listen to on the landline - 78 of them. As soon as I finished, sitting in my armchair, I went out like a light for a solid two hours - it's a really comfy chair, much more conducive to good sleep than the couch.
-
Pill two taken with a slice of berry cake.
-
I think I'm now over the berry cake.
-
That's what happens when you have something too many times too close together.

Did you find any old previously unheard voicemails that were worth listening to?
-
We will watch the first episode of the new season of Only Murders in the Building.
-
Watched the first episode of the new Maigret on PBS. It wasn't bad.
I have no idea how this conception of the character hews to the books.
-
PAGE FIVE
-
Good night, friends.
-
And others.
-
I saw the preview of Maigret - you could not cast it worse - so wrong on every level, including mispronouncing the name. Bruno Cremer remains my favorite Maigret, but I also have the original 1960 Brit series here and Simenon liked that guy very much.
-
Freddie, all the messages were spam - I nuke without listening, one after another.
-
Watching a harrowing documentary from 2022, I think. HBO.
-
Really? Not a single post in two hours. Brilliant.
-
Here’s a post.
-
And I’ll throw in another for free.
-
Thanks for signing my book, BK!
-
Watching a forgotten international production of a film called Dead Run, a spy caper vehicle for Peter Lawford, based on the Stephen Dain books by one of my favorite authors, Robert Sheckley.
-
Sheckley made his career mostly in the sci-fi world. His book The 7th Victim became the film The 10th Victim.
-
His book Immortality Inc was made (badly) as Freejack.
-
Bloodwork was fine - a few categories veered into "high" but the neurologist said that's perfectly normal when taking Prednisone.
Very good news, BK. :)

Here is Lord G to post like mad!

How’s your friend Pudge been, G?

Seattle is celebrating tonight after a 15-inning win over the Detroit Tigers advanced the Mariners to the next round.
-
Ever been to a Mariners game, G?
-
How’s your friend Pudge been, G?
Pudge? Do you mean pug (lower case "p" is deliberate)? She's doing well.
-
Where I live will be divided as people either root for Seattle, the closest team, or Toronto, the one Canadian team.
-
We're working to find a performance space for Theater Artists Olympia's next project, but the fates are conspiring against us. :P
-
pug, yes! Apologies.
-
Ever been to a Mariners game, G?
I have been to a few. My friend David who now lives in Seattle used to work as an usher for the Mariners, so he's taken me to some games.
-
Ushering in Seattle is a paying gig, unlike pretty much all theater in Olympia.
-
I am officially on vacation. Wheeeee!
Enjoy it all, Singdaw!
-
Ira von Furstenberg is hilarious in this film so far though she’s entirely overdubbed by an English voice.
-
I was supposed to be off today, but we had to finish all the interviewing.

Sounds like “publisher” is spooked by a lawsuit and willing to put the blame on a low-level employee, but they really aren’t gonna budge. Just the fear of a lawsuit is enough.
