  Now listening to Offenbach

Victor Borge used to joke about the two Bachs:  J.S., and Off'n....

Not a great movie, by any stretch of the imagination, but I really enjoyed it.

I watched the new Borat movie. I chuckled a couple of times, never at him - the girl is really excellent, but an Oscar nomination is completely wacky to me - it should have been the young girl from News of the World. But she's the only reason to watch the Borat movie. I don't find him amusing at all, and his comedy rather than being funny gross is, for me, merely gross.

I can't even take a preview of Borat.

The World of Henry Orient was a wonderful work of its time, with some nifty performances. It could never get made today.

I'm going to watch a little of Shakespeare Wallah tonight. One of the previews was for King of Hearts. I know I have the musical someplace on vinyl and I know that I saw the movie as a teenager, but I have next to no memory of it.

Can you even imagine the outcry if they made Henry Orient today, starting with his name? Too bad, too.

Already ordered food for tomorrow - got two 40% off coupons from Uber Eats so ordered my beloved Chinese chicken salad from Stanley's - will arrive at four, as I have a very busy afternoon before that.

Today was Needle Day (acupuncture), then I had my glasses adjusted. I'm trying out a new optometrist. He's an older man and seems quite nice. I can't have new glasses made until after the ophthalmologist does his little procedure on me and that probably won't be until sometime in the summer. So many delays because of Covid!

LOL!  I thought you wrote that you were trying to out the new optometrist.  I think you should leave that decision up to him.

And yet, he and the movie won Golden Goobes.

I don't know if it's just me or filming limitations due to Covid, but I've been having more trouble than usual finding shows of interest to me.

The only one we are watching is Resident Alien.  I don't think it is your cup of tea though I believe DR George might like it.

I've been watching it, and I do like it. :)
