Back from some errands.  I'm not quite sure I believe the imdb budget for Princess Bride - I think it was at least 25mil.  The imdb is so wrong so often - look at their aspect ratio listing for The Princess Bride - 1:37.  Not.

I had never seen THE PRINCESS BRIDE until a few months ago.  As Matt said earlier, a great many actors I know can quote huge chunks of dialogue from the film.  I finally got the film from Netflix and watched it.  

It was okay.  I found parts of it a little slow moving, and other parts enjoyable.  I think, in the end, I have just read too many things about Cary Elwes to find him very charming on the screen.

DS Betsy loves, loves, loves The Princess Bride.  I can take it or leave it, frankly.  DS Betsy also loves, loves, loves Knopfler's score for Local Hero, so there ya go.  :)

Who knew department?:  Is there a Dan Dailey/June Haver renaissance afoot?  My review of The Girl Next Door has received thousands of hits (that's a lot, relatively speaking) since it went live yesterday--I had no idea so many people were interested in this film, hardly the apex of musical film achievement.

Here is a hick question for those erudite stone jungle dwellers....do they still show movies at Radio City Music Hall, or is a performance venue now....did they USED to show movies there, or is that a different part of the complex?

WHEEL OF FORTUNE is showing some shows taped there, and of course I have seen the Tony Awards and couple of other thing broadcast from there.....I was inside a couple of times.....but.... hmmmmmmmmmm

It used to be a twin bill of a movie and the Christmas / Easter spectacular.

Two small planes collided this afternoon practically in front of my picture window.  One of the planes crashed into Puget Sound, but the other plane managed to land safely.

And where was I at the time???  Working!  Damn.  I miss everything.
