OH!

DR Ginny - When are you in NYC again? 'Cause I think I've come up with a plan for my birthday...

I think I'm just going to another sort of Walking and Eating Tour.  I basically did it last year on my birthday by myself - which is what I wanted to do anyway.

I had toyed with having some sort of party on the weekend before and/or after my birthday, but I've never been fond of celebrating birthdays on a non-birthday day, so...

What I'm pretty sure I'm going to do is to plan some sort of itinerary for the day.  I'll send it out to my friends, post it on Facebook, etc.  Then throughout the day, my friends can join me as their schedule and location permits.  -I've never been one for big parties, and this will be a nice way to make sure any of my friends who may be in rehearsals, shows, work, etc., can have an opportunity to meet up with me during the course of the day.  -And it will make it much easier to make sure I get some actual one-on-one time with everyone.  So.. Stay tuned.

When is your birthday, Jose?

I just noticed I'm wearing the same shirt in my avatar picture that I'm wearing in the Normal Family picture.

Jennifer, I'm sorry but it's not being considerate to ask an entire board of people to not discuss something because you haven't seen it and you don't know the answer.

But you're missing the point. I don't care if you discuss it. I never said anything of the sort.

But i am saying now there are 3 shows here that air later in canada (top chef, project runway and next food network star). Just don't announce the winners name as the first line in the post.

DR Cilla, if we didn't have company arriving Saturday, we could have seen you in Chicago.

My heart will be in North Chicago on Friday when during Bryan's white coat ceremony.  I hear it is beautiful & moving.

I just hope I'm here and not in L.A.  Each day continues to bring some improvement with my DMIL.  She is very unhappy right now.

That would have been fun. I'll be busy most of the time I'm there. It's just from Tomorrow around noon until Friday around noon. Just a quick trip with a bunch of judges

I am so not scorekeeping right now.  I've got an early day at work tomorrow, and dinner to get on the table, and Eureka is about to start.

Definitely can see the family resemblance, Ben (but not in the Belly Boy pictures!) and you do seem to share their good sense of humor!

Hmm, I think she only asked for the winners not to be mentioned without a space somewhere beforehand.

When you are in Chicago, please let me know if you see fresh vegetable markets.  Bryan is very frustrated.  I said it reminds me of when we moved from So. California to New Jersey, the vegetables in the markets were all pre-packaged. :o

DR Ginny, a good friend of Bryan's will be in town on business & he invited her to attend.  I asked her to be sure and get some photos for us.

This evening was the first orientation gathering. :)  I hope he met some nice people.

Good Evening!

It was indeed another day of ever-changing weather here in NYC. Sunny. Cloudy. Sunny again. Very cloudy and gray. Rainy. Drizzling. Downpour. Then sunny again. Thankfully, I had my umbrella with me, however, when it was drizzling lightly, it was quite refreshing.

DR Jane - I guess I must have missed something... Were you originally planning on heading to Chicago this weekend even with your pending houseguests?

No.  The guests made their plans a year ago & we couldn't ask them to make a change.  It is very disappointing not to be there with Bryan.  Nothing happened here for two months, then everything is at the same time-darn.

And Gus's Pickles too!

Did you know that Gus's is just a few blocks from The Doughnut Plant, Kossar's Bialys, The Essex Street Market, Russ & Daughters, Economy Candy...

BK, Red River was an oversight; HIGH NOON, I kinda agree with Howard Hawks and John Wayne; Coop looks like a bit of wussie walking around begging help of everyone...A professional ought to handle his job without asking help of the amateurs.  RIO BRAVO was their answer to HIGH NOON.

I could name a lot more westerns...I just love 'em!  After Turner Classic Movies; my remote goes to the Westerns Channel.

Well, I'm leaving work.  This morning, I was told by the computer services supervisor that maybe today I would get a computer with Microsoft Vista on it to test, but I didn't.  I know that they're very busy, trying to get certain departments up and actually running on Vista and I'll just be testing it for the technical services side.  Hopefully, I will get it tomorrow so that I can begin experimenting and let them know of any problems that I encounter...hopefully, it'll be tomorrow.  It doesn't really matter at all to me if I don't get it, but I'm kind of excited to be able to test it.  I've never worked on Vista and the only time that I've seen it, is at Costco.
