There is a documentary about it available on DVD.  When we first saw the bridge (4 years ago), it was in the clouds.

Another fave:
Nobody knew,
Not even you,
When I first started walking on wings;
But how long can a man or a woman
Ever hope to hide
Love that's locked up inside?
Every story worth the spinning
Must have a beginning. . .

Sail on silvergirl,
Sail on by.
Your time has come to shine.
All your dreams are on their way.
See how they shine.
If you need a friend
Im sailing right behind.
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will ease your mind.
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will ease your mind.

I have reason to celebrate: it is now, as far as I'm concerned, officially autumn.

I know this because I've just heard the first flock of geese of the season flying overhead.

Lordy, what a wonderous cacaphony they make!  True joy!

So, this morning I took a widow lady from church out -- we went for a walk in the park and lunch at the Old Spaghetti Factory.

That's really not nice to refer to me that way, and I'm not REALLY a widow!

TOD:

Here's a favorite verse:

You know the feeling
Of something half-remembered,
Of something that never happened
Yet you recall it well.

You know the feeling
Of recognizing someone
That you've never met
As far as you could tell;
Well......

Chorus:

Laura is the face in the misty light......

Please don't give her any ideas. There's a potluck on Sunday.

They play a note, like on the piano, and then I remember it to this day. And then they’d ask you other questions, and then they’d play notes later on, and they’d say, ‘Which is the note we played from one hour ago?’ And I’d, like, get it right, I guess.”

Let's go hear how the Christmas arrangements came out. Down the Village for a couple of hours and back later.

I was about to have a little wine when I realized I hadn't collected the mail yet.  Drinking first would not have been a smart move since I'm driving.  My right knee has been bothering me & walking down the driveway makes it worse, today I'll give it a rest.

DR Jane - there's something we have in common!  Whenever I come home from work, I pull over next to the mailbox and collect the mail from the car. . .

I thought the favorite lyric lines would be a much more popular topic.

I got lost in his arms
And I had to stay
It was dark in his arms
And I lost my way
From the dark came a voice
And it seemed to say
There you go
There you go...

Broken windows
And empty hallways
A pale dead moon in a sky streaked with gray
Human kindness - overflowing
And I think it's going to rain today.

Maybe I should have saved those leftover dreams
Funny, but here's that rainy day
Here's that rainy day they told me about
And I laughed at the thought that it might turn out
That way

Where is that worn out wish that I threw aside
After it brought my love so near
Funny how love becomes a cold rainy day
Funny - that rainy day is here.
