Hmm...

Crime, ‘Cupid’ on ABC’s Midseason Schedule

It's the "Cupid" news - and star - that piqued my interest.

I am more interested in Nathan Fillion and his new series, CASTLE.

I could not have asked for a more beautiful day to come home to.  I'm really loving December so far!  I came home to about twelve packages - various and sundried CDs, and the master element for the January Kritzerland limited edition soundtrack (there's one being announced on Christmas Eve, but his one follows that four weeks later), a book, and some DVDs.  I got unpacked and then decided to get the long jog out of the way, as I knew I'd be too zonked to do it later.  I tried to run more at the pace I've been doing and I did indeed shave about seven minutes from my usual time.  I then did some errands, then had my splurge meal o' the week - ribs at the Kansas City Barbecue - I really wanted a treat and that was it.  I then went to the mail place and was rather shocked and amazed to find my big box o' stuff had arrived - yes, the box that I shipped yesterday using three day supersaver arrived in one day.  I also got six small book royalty checks and a not quite as small Nudie Musical royalty check, so that was faboo.  I'm now listening to a CD (a Michel Legrand/Jacques Demy collection), doing laundry, and soon I shall sit on the couch like so much fish and watch a DVD or three.  Oh, and the second I got home I watched Turkey Lurkey Time, courtesy of Adam, who gave me a DVD of the footage he shot (just the opening number and TLT - the rest will be here early next week).  I've had several calls, but I haven't been answering the phone - I'll return them tomorrow.

So I was watching CITIZEN KANE last night, and something struck me as strange for the first time:  why is the butler, played by Paul Stewart, so eagerly money-grubbing and asking for a thousand dollars to talk to the reporter?  He's clearly been with Kane for a lengthy amount of time and Kane would not have been tight fisted with his employees' salaries. Surely the butler would have accumulated some personal wealth from his own income (even if we don't speculate what he could have purloined from Kane's vast and non-inventoried collection of treasures and antiquities.)  Why would this man be so opportunistic for such a petty amount?  Would Kane even have such a man in his close employ?

Just one of those things that make me go "Hmmm..."

Since you just watched the film, please remind me who is in the room with Kane when he dies, that hears him say "Rosebud?"

Someone dies?  I've never watched the movie.  I did buy a copy early this year.

So many lovely Dear Readers in The Living Room, all at one time!  You'd think they'd announced a sale on underpants or something!   :)

You mean they're not on sale?!?!?!!?!

Well, I believe many DRs would probably gather all at once for "underpants" whether or not they're on sale.

I had to buy new underpants for "The Orgy" in Reefer Madness: The Musical! :)

Are you talking about the cast party?

Well, as much as I'd love to stay (no, really...I would), it's time for dinner and then rehearsal.

Until later!

I liked those photos that Adam Cates posted on facebook.  If you wanted to know anyone's name you just zeroed in on them.  Still, no phone numbers, though.  He must have been talking with Coleslaw.

I keep checking YOUTube for Turkey Lurkey time, but keep coming up with some really AWFUL versions of it......

Watching SECRET MILLIONAIRE which is sort of creepy and sort of compelling all at once.

Hi all!

It's down right cold down here in the land of sunshine.  52 degrees in the house before I put the space heater on.

I'm so very glad that everything went well  last night.  I wish I could have been there.  I have the tree lighting from Rockerfeller Center.  I remember that's where the eating tour began and that I skated there.  Ahh memories!

Hi Danise.  I'm glad you finally made it to the dog park.  I know how difficult that first time had to be.  I liked they all helped you with your decision to keep Sheena as an only child ;)

DR MBarnum has only the one dog while working all day.  DD Bosco seems to be very happy.  Are there any other DRs who leave one dog at home during the day?
