And then they’d ask you other questions, and then they’d play notes later on, and they’d say, ‘Which is the note we played from one hour ago?’ And I’d, like, get it right, I guess.”

If The Rapture happens tomorrow -- well, most of us will still be here anyway.

And my bathroom will be looking great.
And the color is?

John G., is your diabetes diagnosis going to make a difference in your food critic career?

I was going to say -- all the colors have interesting names these days. There's no such thing as "beige" any more.

I was going to link to the color online, but it doesn't really look like the color.

Wae-Ling came over tonight. I got out my flashlight, and we went looking for black widow spiders. She had never seen one.

It does work, between the brownish tan fixtures and the pinkish/coral tiles and the brownish/beige floor....gypsy moth just seemed right, lol

I don't suppose the paint color-namers would consider "black widow spider."

Ricky was very confused about why I would shut myself in the bathroom for so long.  Every once in a while he'd go by the door and meow to see if I was still in there

It will have some effect, but not a great deal if I watch it. I would only taste things, which I do now. No law that you have to eat all of the food you're served.

I like Gypsy Moth as a name for a color. I know what it is supposed to look like. At least I think I do.

John G., my Japanese friend invited me for curry today. The first time I had it. It was good.

DR John G, there is often no realtionship between what a color is named and the color of the paint

That is true. I once had a car the color of Midnight Canyon Red. The only color I saw in a canyon at midnight was pitch black.

Years ago, they did the first remodel at my work and one of the colors in the pink/purple color scheme was called "Fascination."  Yup, that's the name of the color:  fascination.

:P is what I say.

I was barely able to walk from the car to my apartment this afternoon.  My back is so bad right now that I thought I was going to collapse in the middle of the office today.  For only the second time in as long back as I can remember; I took two Vicadin this afternoon when I got home.

It hasn't completely numbed the pain, but at least I don't say, "Ow, ow, ow ow" when I get up from the chair to go into the bathroom.  Nicky is trying very hard to be a good nurse.

DR TCB, sorry to hear about your back. I too am having back problems and was off work Wed and Thursday because of it. It hurts mega!

I don't know what I have done to it, but at some point over the last year or so I messed something up and it comes back to haunt me now and then, but Wednesday was the worst and I had to have my supervisor drive me home

On the positive side, I am getting to know my hunky chiropractor intimately...um, so to speak.

I can move around much better today, thankfully.
