I think I am the only person in the world who has not seen the film ROSEMARY'S BABY.

 :o

I know, I know...I need to rectify this...of course I haven't yet seen THE MALTESE FALCON or CASABLANCA, either.

But when you have a shelf load of films with titles like LURE OF THE SWAMP, INVASION OF THE SAUCER MEN, and CONFESSIONS OF A SORORITY GIRL I am sure you can see why I have been remiss in catching up on all of the classics.

Alas, that does not surprise nor shock me.

::)

I wouldn't have minded not seeing it.

I dropped PAN AM from my viewing...as well as 2 BROKE GIRLS, CASTLE, and RULES OF ENGAGEMENT. I also dropped Betty White's tv series. It isn't that I disliked any of these shows, it was just that with adding THE JACK BENNY PROGRAM and KRAFT SUSPENSE THEATRE to my recordings, I was simply watching TOO MUCH tv and thus getting nothing else done while I was at home.

I will stick with the remaining season of THE CLOSER, and I still watch MODERN FAMILY and THE OFFICE and this season's THE AMAZING RACE. Also holding onto this season's SURVIVOR, as it is a pretty entertaining one, for a change.

Will likely not watch this season of SOUTHLAND.

I admit CASTLE had a slow beginning this season but it has gotten good again.

I was still enjoying CASTLE, and I will catch up with it either in reruns or when it is on dvd. It is a wonderful program, but I just don't have the time to watch it each week.

DR MBarnum:  I love "The Rifleman"...grew up watching it and yet I still enjoy it in re-runs.

DR Jane:  "Rosemary's Baby" is one of MY favorite films.  I'm sorry it upset you.

Apropos of nothing else being talked about:

"Unforgettable" get better and better!  And last night's "NCIS" was one of that show's finest offerings, IMO.  And it was Part 1 of 2...something I usually dislike, but when it's done this well and the part 1 is so riveting I find myself anxiously awaiting next week's part 2.

It's more mind-boggling than that, Doug.

We once had a "what are your favorite Gregory Peck films?" TOD and MBarnum confided that he didn't believe he'd ever seen a Gregory Peck film.  I think it was Peck.  If it wasn't, it was someone equally notable.

Earlier this year, he posted:

TOD:

I don't know from Stephen Sondheim except what I have read here on HHW.

Laura, because the news is no longer news - it's puffery and about ratings only.  The intellect of this lovely country we live in has reached an all-time low and they just pander to it.

I had some lunch, did some errands and whatnot, picked up two packages (amazon package wasn't there - it will be at some point today), and now have to rush and get ready to go to rehearsal - we had to move Alet up an hour to four.

That was part of the problem. The DVR fills up so fast when you record these shows in HD, so no, I am not recording Castle. The DVD of this season will be out soon enough, and I can rent it then and catch up on the rest of the episodes.

As a matter of fact.....you know I have recorded it several times, but then never got around to watching it and deleted it from the DVR. I think there were too many episodes of Mr. Ed that I had to catch up on at the time.

I am working on a big project for this weekend, which seems to involve other people changing what I am supposed to be doing every few hours, which is communicated by email. So today, while coming home from our walk, I told my DH that I needed to check my email to see what fresh hell awaits me. I thought Elmore would be proud.

I keep forgetting to mention that Cynthia Myers, star of the cult classic BEYOND THE VALLEY OF THE DOLLS, passed away a few days ago.

I met her about 3 years ago and she was absolutely wonderful and sweet!

Craig laughed at the little heater next to me & I admitted it isn't helping much.  As soon as I stepped away from my computer I knew how much warmer I was with the little heater blowing on me.  I should have continued doing laundry which also kept the room warmer, possibly better than the little heater.
